Such a great Happy Hour! I met another new mom friend there during the first week of January and it was still decorated for the holiday's and we loved it. Such a tiny spot, it feels very intimate. I'm so glad I got one of the last tables. As we were sipping our $6 wine we watched so many people come in and not be able to find a spot so they turned around and left. This place has a great value so if you're looking for a hidden gem in the District look no further!

A Hidden Gem in Green Valley - A Must-Visit for Wine LoversTucked away in Green Valley, Local is a lively and inviting wine bar that delivers an exceptional experience for both casual drinkers and true wine enthusiasts. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy and vibrant, making it an ideal spot for a solo wine moment, a date night, or catching up with friends. The wine selection is truly impressive, featuring a vast array of thoughtfully curated bottles from around the world. I had the pleasure of enjoying a 2014 Gavi, which was beautifully aged, offering a crisp yet layered profile that paired wonderfully with the ambiance. The bar also boasts an enticing selection of cocktails for those looking to mix things up.Beyond the wine, Local offers a well-crafted menu of small snacks, sandwiches, and desserts--perfect accompaniments to your drink of choice. The service is warm and knowledgeable, with staff eager to provide recommendations without being overbearing. If you're looking for a spot that feels like a neighborhood favorite yet delivers a world-class wine experience, Local is it. Can't wait to return and explore more of their list!

Been to this wine bar 4 times. Every visit has been a disappointment. On our most recent visit, we sat ourselves at the bar, among the 5-6 empty seats, figuring we could grab a drink. It wasn't particularly busy at ~4pm on a Friday. We were never acknowledged in the 15+ minutes we were there. Even if there were a backlog of orders and/or drinks a simple check-in would have been sufficient - "be with you in just a few moments."My wife and I decided to leave. It was only then, as we were leaving, that we got any attention from the bartender. The wine offering may be above average, but the service is far below par. Not sure if we'll give this place another chance. There are plenty of other options.

A few weeks ago, I visited The Local on the recommendation of a friend who claimed it was the place to get "The Best Espresso Martini in Las Vegas." I wasn't disappointed! I met up with a friend here on a Saturday morning, unaware that the Makers Hive Market was happening in The District, which turned out to be a nightmare for parking.Once I finally arrived, I was the only person in the building since it had just opened. I ordered a drink, but I couldn't shake the feeling that the staff was in a rush for some reason. My drink arrived promptly and was just as good as it had been advertised. The food menu at The Local is quite limited, so I decided to order a house salad. It was a pretty large salad, but it was quite bland. I think all it had in it were pumpkin seeds, tomatoes, and cucumbers. I got bored of it quickly and wished I had paid the extra fee to add goat cheese. The restaurant itself is quite charming and was beautifully decorated for Christmas at the time. We stayed for a while and had two drinks each. I will definitely be returning after learning a few things from my first visit!

Pros: EXTENSIVE wine list. The Old Fashioned was made well.Cons: Needs more food on the menu, more variety of snacks. More to offer during happy hour besides just one house red, white, draft beer, and a dirty martini. Maybe do a rotating happy hour cocktail -- each day a different cocktail. And add some snacks for happy hour too. The caprese salad is beautiful and tasty, but a little heavy-handed with the balsamic and olive oil. A little goes a long way. No reason to be wasteful and drench the cheese, tomatoes, and basil with sauce. Service was fine, though my server never did offer water. I ordered a cocktail but water should be standard. Cute spot for a date or a small group of friends.

God I love this wine bar. I honestly don't know why I don't come here more often. I'm going to need to start. Was walking through The District with my husband and we ran into some friends sitting at The Local having an afternoon drink. We decided to join them because the weather was PERFECT for patio drinking. Sat right down and ordered myself a glass of white wine. My husband got himself a beer. We enjoyed hanging out with our friends and watching people walk past. It's definitely a smaller bar, so there's not a ton of seating, however they do have a little bit of extended seating out in The District walking area. Since it was the afternoon, it wasn't crazy busy so we were able to just sit down and join our friends. After a while, our server came over and asked if we just wanted to do a bottle of wine since three of us were drinking the same thing anyway. The presentation of the bottle of wine was really nice, too. They do have some food, like cheese and meat boards and paninis. All the food is relatively good, but really, this place is more about the drinks. Definitely one of the cutest spots to grab a drink with friends, and I'll definitely need to come back here more often to support The Local!

The menu for food is limited but the selection for wines were great! Great place to try a glass or bottle of wine! I had a chicken pesto panini and it was delish- had a glass of chenin, perhaps two glasses since the panini was pretty hefty! Delish and a great place to bring a friend and chit chat. Service was great and environment was great!

Went in last night to meet someone in a "blind date" this was a perfect spot. It has a fun major city hole in the wall vibe with an amazing wine selection. The bartender was friendly and not intrusive. Which is perfect! I will be back!

My friend originally told me about the local and told me I had to try it! Ever since then we go back probably once a month or so, if not more! The service here is impeccable the owners are so kind and friendly. The staff is amazing. You can't go wrong with the charcuterie, boards, and drinks here. There's a wide variety of meats and cheeses. You can choose from as well as an extravagant list of wines to try. This is definitely one place. I would say that has something for everybody! The ambience and here is very cute and trendy, Opportunities for photo walls with your girlfriends if you would like. Also some bar seating. I would say it is an intimate facility. They do wine tastings once a month where they offer sampling of wines from different states and countries, as well as a small appetizer, entrée, and dessert. A very fun experience if you have not, tried it yet!If you're looking for a new place to try with your girlfriends I highly recommend the local!

Attention wine enthusiast and lovers of an occasional glass of Vino. I came across this spot in Green Valley, (The District). It offers an array of great tasting wines and cocktails.I'd recommend the Malbec and the Watermelon Foam Margarita. They both tasted great and were priced accordingly.Outdoor seating is available, as well as, a bar type counter design with an open concept allowing customers to experience an outdoor atmosphere without being outside. This is a nice chill spot which, will undoubtedly be a hot spot as summer approaches.
