On Tuesday night My friend and I attended the preview show entitled "The Jamboree" featuring Dessy Di Lauro at the Rose Rabbit Lie inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino. All I have to say is WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! I knew a dancer in the show and had no idea what to expect. There were seats to be purchased or standing room options. It really isn't a bad idea to stand for the entire show as it is QUITE interactive. As soon as I entered into the bar/nightclub portion of Rose Rabbit Lie, they had performers greeting the guests immediately as if we were entering their "home". The show featured ALL types of music! "Sweet Georgia Brown", "Spell on You", hip hop, Top 40, Charleston "Lindy Hop Music", and Jazz/Blues. just to name a small few. The dancers were unbelieveable and the Lead Singer took the audience through such a joyous flow of happy emotions/ love for performing arts and overall celebration!!! The showroom seemed to transform from the typical bar/lounge to a theatrical stage, to an arena show complete with a small maxi stage, back to a night club where the performers kindly invited their "guests" (us the audience) to come down and take the dance floor as the awesome singer sang. I no longer felt like I was in Las Vegas! I felt at times I was in the roaring 1920's with flapper tap dancing girls, and Lindy Hopper's , to the city of New Orleans complete with a band with Trumpets and horns and Bass Guitars. Never a Dull Moment! The show is hoping for a residency position. I am crossing my fingers that this show STAYS in Las Vegas!! As a dancer and performer myself, it was such a RERFRESHING show that showcased other talents instead of Just T&A like in other shows on the strip. "The Jamboree" is unique, fun, and a sure fire guarantee foot tapper and you will Def. Leave with a smile on your face!! Best of luck to the cast!!!

I saw Dessy's Jamboree show in Los Angeles and there really isn't anything like it these day. Dessy and her entire band are exceptionally talented in all aspects of music and showmanship. It was like going back to the ragtime days with a packed dance floor. All types of people at all ages were there and EVERYONE was into it. I danced for a good two hours straight and will definitely see them again wherever they play.
