The Fish & Chip Shop

First off, the size of the fish is massive & very much appreciated. It stays hot & crisp throughout the 15 minute drive home. The chips are nice and crispy too! I'm a huge fan of fish & chips & this is the only place in the valley that I've found to enjoy. I've come here at 3 times so far, everything from food quality to service seems consistent. Though, this last time I went, they had a one man show going on. He was still able to get the orders going!

I've been watching the locations of the Fish & Chip Shop so that I could try them out. I've heard good things about them and wanted to see how they ranked in the best fish and chips in Las Vegas. The truck was parked in a plaza by my house on a Sunday so I decided to check them out. I went at an ideal time between lunch and dinner because there was no line. I was greeted promptly and asked if I had any questions about the menu. They had fish and chips, meat pies, and scotch eggs available. I opted for the fish and chips to go. I waited about 10 minutes for my order. It was fresh and hot and served with packets of malt vinegar and tartar sauce. By the time I got home, the batter on the fish was a little soggy but I'm sure it's crispy when it's not served piping hot in a to go box and subjected to condensation. The fish must be one large piece cut in half when you get it to go so that it fits in the box. It was lightly battered and the fish was flaky. The chips were the steak cut fries which I prefer over the skinny fries. Overall it was a great portion and meal.Keep your eye out for the Fish & Chip Shop truck and if you see it, definitely stop by to give them a try. The Fish & Chip Shop has been on my radar for awhile. I was excited to see they'd be at one of the Henderson Booze District food truck events. I saw they'd be in front of Bad Beat so we headed over to grab some food. The event was from 5-10 and we arrived at 5:05. We walked up to the truck and a board positioned in front listed about eight delicious options like pasties, fish and chips, scotched eggs, sausage rolls, and meat pies. We tried to order four items and it turned out that they only had fish and chips. I get that trucks sometimes have items not offered on certain nights, but only one item out of the whole board was available? Why even put a whole menu out? Even the guy taking our order was asking the guy in the truck if he could just fry up a scotched egg. We should have left, but instead we ordered two orders of fish and chips and a side of mushy peas for $35. Our order took about 10-15 minutes to be prepared. That was fine with us since we needed to head over to Crafthaus to grab ice cream tacos from Happy Ending Chocolates. We received our two orders of Fish and Chips. The mushy peas were missing, but my husband was super annoyed already so I didn't want to tell him something was missing. The Fish and Chips were really good! The fish batter was crispy and tasty. The pieces of fish on both orders were huge. The chips were also really tasty. Everything was crispy and not mushy like some spots. This was legit fish and chips, so good. We even drove home with our food and it was still perfect. The only thing missing was malt vinegar! I didn't see this on the menu nor were we offered any. Some malt vinegar would send it all over the top. Even though the fish and chips were really good I wouldn't return. Whomp, whomp. I can't spend time tracking down a truck that might not have anything I came for again.

Dropped by again on a Saturday afternoon. Fish and Chips were excellent and hot. Aussie beef pie was excellent and going to try a sausage next visit. Mood- The Fish God's Why? I saw a photo of perfection and became haunted by it. I have desired this fish for several days now and today was the day to entertain it. Upon walking up to the truck was quickly greeted. There was a small line gathered around waiting for their food. To me this was already a good sign. We were asked if there were any questions. I didn't have any at that point. Opted for the Fish and Chips of course, Beer Battered Sausage, Sausage Roll, Scotch Eggs, Pasty, and a Pie. Can I say I'm a PNW original and we have access to some of the best seafood in the country. However today I must put my love for what I thought was the best in the 2nd ranking spot. Poseidon himself must have given this food truck the recipe to create what they have. I was not alone in my ravings of flavor as my cohort agreed we will have to put our #1 into a lower ranking.Each week the location varies. So you'll have to check them out on FB to see where they are going to pop up next. Brick and Motar will be in the works. Good ol Covid changed plans temporarily for the owner but not the product we all get to taste until that time. Would most def recommend. Pricing is reasonable for the portions and quality. I have already decided to go back next weekend.

I was at First Friday last week and had their delicious Fish & Chips. There are so many food trucks there and hard to decide on what to get. Some friends ordered their Fish & Chips and said how great they were, so our group ordered 4 more. Really good service, the guy who took our order was friendly and the food really is amazing. Perfectly fried and crispy; they cook to order and worth the wait. Good portion size for the money. I was too busy eating to take pictures! I have had fish and chips in Hong Kong, Brisbane, Sydney, Glasgow and Edinburugh, these fish and chips are the best in the North American Continent and maybe the world. Huge fish fried in beef tallow makes for the perfect fried fish.They were out of the Scotch eggs, but I loved the fried coated sausage.

We drove 35 minutes to get food here tonight.My husband is Scottish and was really missing a traditional "sausage supper" so I found this place. I would make this drive any day, the food is incredible and fresh. My husband said it was super authentic and delicious. Their beef pie is to die for and the chips are so crispy but soft and fluffy. I can't get enough, we will continue to refund this food truck! The guy working is tonight was also very friendly :)

I've had my fair share of Fish & Chips in my lifetime, but never in the UK. These fish and chips were really good, ultra hot and flaky on the inside and crispy on the outside -- you get one giant piece on a bed of chips (or fries) that were crispy as well. I do wish they made their own tartar sauce, because the tiny little packet they provide has no flavor and definitely not enough. $15 for an order.
