The Blue Skillet

So I just found this classic diner place off Fort Apache before Tropicana, Wow I was really impressed! I knew I was going to love this place because as soon as I was sat I noticed they had the old school sugar dispensers on the table. They have 3 other locations in the valley but this was the closes to me. It's in a little strip mall right next to the Hobby Lobby. They have a pretty extensive menu but I was looking for their combo platters and boy do they have some good ones for all taste. I got the Sampler Special which came with 2eggs any style, 2strips of bacon,2sausage links and ham and your of pancake or French toast and I almost forgot hash-browns or breakfast potatoes...what a meal! My server was Juan and boy did he hustle but everyone there were all very attentive and everyone pitched in with asking if everything was okay refilling your coffee even the hostess was refill. The place is not very large by most breakfast place, they do have counter seating and a high top table too. The food was excellent. The eggs were over easy and not runny bacon was crisp. I opted for no sausage so they gave me a choice of more bacon or more ham. The other thing I'm very particular about is their hashbrowns which were well seasoned so before you add any salt, make sure to taste it cause they're already salty enough. The French toast was fluffy and light, the slices of ham 4 pieces were well charred which is how I liked them.All in all I give this place a high 9.8 out of 10 for the food, their prices and staff.

The place has a nice ambiance (blue is the decor theme, as their name might suggest!). The service was good.I had grits with a side of bacon. The grits were ok, nothing spectacularly good or bad (I mean, it's plain grits...). The bacon was good.My dining companions noted that they really liked the iced coffee.

One of the best southern fried steaks I have had in Vegas! My only complaint is the size wasn't as big as I had hoped but this will not deter me from coming back and ordering it again. Eggs and hash browns were cooked to perfection and the toast was massive and delicious. The place was very clean and the service was excellent. Never had to worry about my coffee getting cold. Love this!!!!! If you want to try a very good breakfast joint this should be one on your list.

Our first time here and we will definitely be back. This is the best breakfast around us. Everything is made fresh and it is all delicious! Ask for Kara, she is very friendly and efficient, you will love her!

If you have a dairy allergy, this is not the place for you. According to the waiter we had, everything is cooked in butter. Refried beans, Spanish rice, eggs, bacon, and even one of the salsas supposedly had butter in it. Salsa with butter in it? That's a first for me! I was told in order to do the Huevos Rancheros, it would be two corn tortillas, two poached eggs, and a side of fruit. I wanted leave when I was told everything is cooked in butter. However, I was with other people at the table and I wanted to be accommodating to them. I got the Huevos Rancheros and I was very disappointed. The side order of bacon was crispy and delicious. The inside is nice and new which has an inviting ambiance.

Awesome breakfast spot! HUGE portions! Great service. Will definitely be back! Super neat spot!

Food was excellent just like the old location. Pancakes are delicious and fluffy. Service was excellent. Very nice decor it has a good feel to the restaurant.

I ordered takeout and it was hot, fresh and really delicious. The staff were so nice! And the restaurant was super clean. We will be back, can't wait to dine in!

This place is clean, well lit, and tastefully decorated. You get the feeling the moment you walk in the door that this is well-run place by people who take pride in what they're doing. Our server, Sophia, could not have been more pleasant. I got the chorizo skillet, my wife got the four-cheese French toast and, not surprisingly, both were excellent. Quite a find, this place. We will be back.
