Sushi One

I'm bummed. Compared to my last visits, the quality of the fish dropped dramatically. I don't eat raw fish often while pregnant. I try to be mindful of where it's coming from when I do. In the past, the fish here had been so fresh. I had been having a massive craving for some sashimi and rice. Specifically, items low in mercury. I ordered the kaisen don and asked the portion with tuna to just be more salmon. I was pretty annoyed that when I told the waitress I was pregnant, and that's why I wanted the salmon instead of the tuna, she was super weird. She took it upon herself to tell me she cared about my baby and questioned me ordering raw fish like over and over again. This annoyed me because in most other countries, it's actually recommended as long as it's low in mercury and good quality. I didn't go out to be told how I should handle my pregnancy by my waitress.So now, after being assertive that I can make my own choices for body, we wait for a very long time. When the food finally arrives, it has this green sauce zig zagging across it as well as a soy based sauce. I assumed the green was fresh wasabi as I had asked for some, and none was brought in a container. I bit into it, and I realized they covered my fresh fish in pesto...which in no way went with the flavor profile. It also smelled a bit fishy. I told them that I couldn't eat this and wish they had specified that they put a pesto sauce in the description. They brought me a miso soup to drink while they remade it at least as I was starving. The dish without the pesto was finally brought, and while it tasted better, the freshness was questionable...I felt like an ass though saying anything again, and it wasn't cheap, so I ate it and used a lot of my fresh wasabi that they finally brought. I just told myself it was the crab portion and that snow crab can be salty and fishier. Well, within the hour, my tummy felt funny, and then, for about 24 hours, I had an upset stomach and naseau. The first time in many years that this has happened at a sushi place. Maybe the waitress knew something about the quality drop I didn't, and that was her way of indirectly warning me. Maybe she just has no boundaries and thinks she should be telling pregnant women what they should eat. Overall, I was just sad as I had been craving this for so long and had really loved my food the past visits.

I have no complaints !I've tried Sushi one before but never got a chance to write a review.... so I'll do it now since I tried different dishes.The place really looks nice. The chairs are really comfortable, and I was keep mentioning while eating ....The service was great as well as the food. As you can see, the food looks perfect and tastes really good and fresh .I really enjoyed eating at Sushi One, and I will visit again of course.

Excellent sushi very clean restaurant. Only one guy making the fish and serving us but he was good. We got the super omakase and every piece had unique sauce and was delicious.Also got a couple rolls and plain nigiri for the kids and they really enjoyed it. Picture is of additional nigiri I ordered.Pricing is very good.

First time trying this place. We were greeted and was seated right away. This is a hidden gem to me. We just returned from a month long Japan trip and was missing some sushi. I have to say that the quality of seafood here is too notch! The Hokkaido scallops tasted like the one in Hokkaido, Japan when we went. The ponzu on it was a nice touch. The kaisen don was my favorite. Everything was fresh and the texture was melt in your mouth good. They didn't have any uni left so they subbed in sea bass which was good as well. I absolutely love the music with the covers of pop music. I would definitely come back for my sushi fix here even though I live pretty far away. Great job sushi one.

We were in the area and decided to swing by to check it out. This is not an all-you-can-eat sushi place. The taste of the sushi was decent but nothing really stuck out that made it different from any other place but the presentation was nice. Average price of sushi seemed lower than competitors. The service was top notch. Server was super friendly and came by constantly to check on us.

THIS PLACE DESERVES ALL THE STARS! I'm so happy this opened up where it did close to home! It's amazing. It's nestled in the corner of a shopping center with a Smart & Final so naturally parking is easy. You would never expect a place like this next to a supermarket but they did that! They have about 12 tables for sitting - they do not have a bar to sit at. I was surprised it wasn't busy when I walked in on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted immediately and sat where we wanted.The waiter was friendly - handed our menus and took our drink order. You are served water in a carafe so that was a nice touch. The menu has amazing options and the prices are amazing! The fish is very fresh and you can certainly tell they make their rolls with love. they are smaller rolls which I personally prefer as they're much tastier. I ordered the spicy crackers which is HIGHLY recommend getting, so flavorful, albacore sushi with fresh wasabi, uni (from Santa Barbara), the double toro roll, some basic rolls and the mango hamachi roll (my ultimate favorite!).The interior is your typical sushi joint. This is not an all you can eat, which I personally prefer! I highly recommend giving this place a try, I wouldn't be surprised if in the near future it'll be a busy place to dine!My rating is as follows:Food: 5/5Service: 4/5Ambiance: 4.5/5Excited to come back here very soon!

Absolutely incredible! Long time sushi lover that has grown quiet picky with quality and freshness and this wonderful restaurant did not disappoint! Very fresh and the quality is top notch. Very VERY fair pricing. I would say more on the inexpensive side for such quality. Services was exceptionally. Water was never empty and very kind service. 10/10. Picked up our plates immediately and made room for all the wonderful rolls we ordered. Very friendly and kind staff. Ambiance was adorable. Very clean, new and adorable decor. Very classy. The music tied it all together. Don't miss out. This place is a new favorite. Every time we visit Vegas we will be stopping by!

Let's start about the place, super clean, great atmosphere, and nice restaurant. The staff is super friendly, and very helpful. The sushi was great, fresh fish, and feel like authentic sushi. Doesn't make you heavy like other places. I highly recommend this place!

We moved so we decided to start looking for a 'neighborhood' sushi spot and we found one!!!! It's not AYCE which is exactly what I love and it's hands down the best sushi I have had. We have been here a few times and it doesn't seem busy which is insane. The fish tastes so fresh and the quality is exceptional. Their presentation is also gorgeous. Me and my husband usually split 3 rolls and we are stuffed after. I tell every one about this little gem! The presentation is fantastic and it's consistently good and the service is great!

Let me preface with, the presentation is very pretty. However, is the flavor and texture are below par. I'll list out some key reasons why this restaurant is a no - return for me:1. The sushi was dry 2. They used long grain rice 3. Fish was too fishy4. Used avocado to mask a lot of flavor or make up for lake thereof5. The fish was a tad warm6. It was hot in there, made it unbearable 7. I was really disappointed I didn't get the creamy toro flavor I was looking for. That creamy lingering fat/belly aftertaste 8. No sake, no beerI would give one star, but the other star is because the server was kind and they gave a complimentary Soup.
