First time attending the Sunset Park'd event. It was a blast for the whole family. They had tons of Food Trucks that offered a variety of domestic and international food options, snacks, speciality drinks, candy, desserts, and carnival fare. There was also a row of local vendor booths that offered goods for sale, as well as informational booths. Most of the food trucks offered reasonable and affordable prices, but a handful of them had absolutely crazy prices. One food truck was serving pasta and wanted an astounding $22-$23 for one bowl of pasta, we quickly skipped past that booth along with everyone else who saw their incredibly high prices. There was a stage with live music, and the band was absolutely fantastic. But that wasn't the only entertainment this event had to offer... Surprisingly, they even had live wrestling... it was very entertaining. My 11yo son sat with his mouth opened the whole show... he didn't know what to think. But we all highly enjoyed it. On the other side of the event area, there was a carnival with rides, games, and a fun house. It was a lot of fun watching the riders laughing and screaming their heads off on the thrill rides. Everyone we came across was friendly, helpful, and just seemed happy to be there. We brought our puppy with us, and he had a great time too. He even made himself a few new puppy friends. I highly recommend this event. We will definitely come back again next year.

I can say, I had no frustrations or stress at this event. Usually, these events aren't well prepared and they could make it frustrating to customers. They had a lot of seating, a lot of different food, entertainment and rides. Best part of all? NO Admission fee!! I wish NV would cut the crappy Admission Fees! Were going to spend money at your event, so why pay to get in??? I enjoyed seeing all the dogs enjoy the nice weather and the wrestling event was very entertaining. This was a perfect time to hold this event. November in NV has perfect weather! Only thing lacking this week was not enough Vegan food. Only 3 trucks.... :( It was a very nice event and parking also was easy!! I got a great spot and had no problem getting in or out. This was fantastic.

In addition to the clever name, the event itself is a really great one. It has parking, thank goodness. Convenient location. No cover, plenty of options, entertainment. Truly something for everyone. Perfect for groups who cannot decide where to eat that will satisfy everyone. It really is an easy event that's worthwhile.

Pursuing Saturday evening (around 5pm) at our first visit to Sunset Park'd (food truck and carnival fest). Didn't realize it's been am annual thing for a few years now. There were over 40 food truck vendors listed, but we were lucky if we spotted 20. Maybe it's best to come earlier and they run out of food fast--? The best of the bunch we tasted were Izzy's Pizza (Detroit style, the owner makes his own sausage topping), and Can't Dutch This Fries (with the mild Curry ketchup - Nomnom)! The carnival rides are $4 each ride, and the food prices range $5-10. Most vendors have square for credit card transactions, but cash is still king.

We attended this event today for the first time ( Nov 3rd, 2018). It only occurs on one Saturday and is the fifth year they are presenting this event in Sunset Park. Admission and parking are free.We went there an hour after they started which was 12pm. There was a lot of handicapped parking ( people were complaining about it too) and we ended up parking on the farthest lot, so get there early. I was happy to see there was no line to get in or the park roped off. Just walk in and buy. There was a stage with music playing. There were rides for kiddos and vendor area. There was a Vegan section. The festival was not cramped and trucks were spread out which I liked. Here are some of the Food Truck Participants:50 Shades Of Green Badass Coffee Of HawaiiBlitz BobaBlondies Bacon Creations Braud's Funnel Cake CaféCan't Dutch ThisFusion Beastro Hot Diggety Dog I Luv Cotton CandyMy bf and I tried the Ribbon fries fully loaded ($15 I think) from ' Smoke'n Sam BBQ and it was really crunchy and so good. Also tried Termas Chickpeas and Karkadeh ( refreshing hibiscus extract drink)from POTs Egyptian food truck. They were interesting. What caught my eye was the food truck called 'Meats gone wild' and from their exotic menu we got Python w/ rabbit & jalapeno sausage $10 and Alligator sausage $10. I had a bite of those which had an interesting taste and not my cup of tea.I didn't see the Sangria festival which was around $28 ticket which was happening simultaneously. All in all, I really enjoyed this beautiful day!

Not as good as it gets, but pretty close. Amazing food trucks, great weather, and the smell of fried gluttony in the air really made for a fun event. I actually came here twice, once during the day and once during the evening. During the day I played a little disc golf and cruised into the event looking for a snack. My foodie partner was in a time crunch, so we couldn't really explore the event too much. We did a quick walk through and most of the spots I wanted to try had long lines, so we just went with Hot Diggity Dog. This food truck is perfect for the non-adventurous eater or kids; chicken fingers, fries and hot dogs. I ordered a polish dog with the works; onions, chili, sauerkraut, and relish. It was good, just like a basic ballpark hot dog nothing special. The chili was the highlight of the dog with that perfect hint of spice. During my second trip I was able to try TruckU Barbecue, Oming's Kitchen, and Cousins Main Lobster. There wasn't much food left by the time I made my second trip, so I'll just focus on the best of the three, which was, TruckU. The Burnt End burrito was just amazing, tender burnt pieces, Oaxacan BBQ Aioli, Coleslaw, with Duck Fat Fries and Monterey Jack. This was the business and pretty much best thing I ate all day, plus it was huge! You totally get your money's worth. The burnt burrito was the hit of the event. I talked to a few Yelpers and this was the main item they brought up when I asked what they liked best. This should be a twice a year event, if it isn't already.

They say that the third time's the charm. This might be the case for Sunset Park'd.Although I'd actually gone to this half-year's Great American Foodie Fest, I was eager to try several local food trucks at what might be referred to as the 3rd Annual Sunset Park'd event. Boasting a total of 33 food trucks this year, and with noticeably more attendees, this event has something for almost everyone. There are games scattered around the festival grounds, as well as a kids' area with slides, rock climbing, and bubbles on water. There are also a few maps located on huge sandwich boards, which is a new thing and a nice touch for those who don't feel like walking around the relatively small venue. My biggest complaint last year was about their web site (sunsetparkd.com) and other online presence. They improved this year by reliably posting all of the trucks on the Food Trucks web page this year. They also provided comprehensive info on non-food vendors, entertainment (including music, dancers, and the kids' activities), some sort of VIP section w/ alcohol tasting (didn't bother looking into this but it was $10, whereas the event itself is still free). The web site also had details about something they're piloting this year called "Tasting Dishes." Only eight food trucks bought into this idea, and they only provided very simple if inexpensive food items. I don't really see the point unless you're bringing kids or flying solo at the event. You might as well split the food trucks' menu items with your friends/family.I'll stick to individual business places for detailed reviews, but most of the food trucks that I tried this year were awesome. I was a huge fan of Utah-based Waffle Love at the other food truck gathering, and their inclusion raised my probability of going from 90% to 100%. Their St. George truck again represented the waffle empire proudly in my book, and it's a feather in Sunset Park'd's cap to have this out-of-state food truck around. As for other businesses, Truck U BBQ had an awesome burnt ends "burrito," Stripchezze brought it with their bacon jam in the Jam On It sandwich, and The Cookie Bar had some awesome baked treats, some involving alcohol. I was underwhelmed by Rolling Fusion, but that's only one miss out of my busy afternoon.I'm again very happy that Sunset Park'd has brought together local food trucks in a free admission setting. Aside from this year's questionable placement of tables/seats only at the far ends of the event area (nothing but grass and sand in the middle), I can only think of a better social media presence as an area of improvement for next year. And I do expect to see them once again next year.

A great way to check out some local food trucks. The variety of trucks was great offering a nice selection of food options. The food trucks there offered everything from hot dogs to Polish food to a variety of sweets to BBQ to vegan foods. All of the trucks were nicely spaced out so it was comfortable to walk around and there was plenty of room to wait for food. There were picnic tables to sit and enjoy food as well as an area of tables and folding chairs. I enjoyed this food truck festival more than another that happens in town every six months. Sunset Park'd doesn't charge admission and trucks are not on top of one another. The music was also at a pleasant volume allowing for conversation.

This is the fourth year now that I have been coming to Sunset Park'd. I love the concept and that it's held at Sunset Park, which holds a lot of memories for me. It's an awesome way to sample local food trucks and vendors. This year specifically, I had a strawberry Dole whip shake ($9), a honey corndog ($6), and a smores waffle ($11.75). Nothing was spectacular except for the corndog, which was a lot of food for what we paid compared to what other trucks were charging. The service was lacking at all the trucks and stands that we visited. It's small compared to other events like Great American Foodie Fest. Every year, most of the vendors present have been the same, but there have been a few new faces here and there. There's also a Vegan Village, which is something I haven't seen done at other events yet. There's so admission fee and it's a good way to spend a day at the park, so I'll keep checking it out as long as it's around.
