This is the third time I've been to Summer House at the Durango Hotel & Casino and it has truly become one of my favorite brunch spots in Vegas. It is bright, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Our server, Katelyn, was absolutely wonderful. She provided excellent service and went above and beyond to make our experience positive. We started with the Cheesy Dream Puffs which are pieces of soft, pillowy bread dough with melted cheese inside. The green chili breakfast burrito is amazing - it doesn't feel heavy like other breakfast burritos and the green salsa that they put on the side is fantastic! I also ordered a specialty French Vanilla Latte which was great. Their cocktails are also strong!

Super cute inside! Beachy vibes. We only tried a few things. Guacamole - real good guac and it comes with a side of pico and other salsas. Now is it worth $18. Not sure. Prime Cheeseburger - very tasty! The fries were hard and not very good. Try and get a different side, if possible. Crispy Fish Tacos - 10/10!! The fish is so light and crispy. It's coated with tempura batter so it's not a thick breading at all! It was delicious! I usually don't finish my meals but that was really good. I'd go back for that item! One note, I feel like the inside of the water bottles should be cleaned better. Something about it didn't seem right.

I had reached out to the the restaurant via Yelp about the dining experience for a bday brunch party of 8 in their private room. We didn't know we were going to be seated in there and had to wait (about 15) until the current party in the room departed. I did receive a reply and was asked if I can be contacted, which I replied respectfully with a yes- but never received a call back. Reason for my review: The waiter was attentive and friendly, but I felt we could have been checked in more frequently considering there was no visible waiter tocall on from where we were seated at. The room was cozy and chic for my group, but I had to go to the front hostess for assistance, twice! I have been here before and that's why I recommended this place, but as for my other girlfriends (including the bday girl) it was their first time. I felt a bit let down from the restaurant since we were there to celebrate a bday.

Yelp Review 2025 #87:My friends and I celebrated a friend's birthday at Summer House. I love the fact they have a lot of variety on their menu. They have pasta, pizza, meat, seafood, and vegetarian options. And they have a massive cookie bar in the front...so dangerous! It's also easy to find and walk to. Park on the casino side and it's right there next to Mijo.I already looked at the menu online so I came prepared. I knew what entree to get and what cookie to get. Our server was Michael and we all loved him. He was the best part of our dining experience. He was a whole vibe! He handed us menus and I panicked - I all of a sudden wanted fries! Should I get steak frites???Margherita Pizza: Mozzarella, tomato sauce, olive oil, sea salt, basil. Thin crust pizza that's very simple and comforting at the same time. 3.5/5Cheesy Dream Puffs:Rosemary, pepper, and cheese popovers. Very mild on the pepper taste, definitely tasted the rosemary and cheese. They're warm, light and airy. 3.5/5Caramelized Brussels Sprouts:Brussels sprouts with balsamic vinegar, and grated grana padano. They have shaved Brussels sprouts on the menu but it has bacon and we have vegetarians in the group so we opted for this. 3.5/5Costa Mesa Salad:Queso fresco, corn, pico de gallo, avocado, quinoa, crispy tortilla, chipotle crema, and lime vinaigrette. Different textures and flavors so each bite is never boring. 3/5Spicy Kale Caesar Salad:Kale with grilled avocado, and spicy english muffin croutons. Crunch on crunch on crunch and then creaminess from the avocado. Watch out for those croutons - they're packing some heat. I opted for chicken on the side because protein. A nice twist to the traditional caesar salad. 3.5/5Summer House Crab Cakes:Jumbo lump blue crab, old bay seasoning, remoulade, fries & slaw. The crab cakes were ok. The fries were salty. 2/5Crispy Fish Tacos:Light tempura batter, chipotle crema, shredded red cabbage and carrots, and guacamole. This was nice. 3.5/5Seven Layer Chocolate Cake:Seven layer cake sounds massive and initimidating. How can we finish this?! It came out and it's a very thin slice with 7 thin layers. Whew! This is how you enjoy chocolate cake without gaining 10lbs! It's rich and indulgent. 3.5/5Lemon Cookie:I wanted to try the Wild Thai Banana Cookie but they didn't have them. The birthday girl likes lemon desserts so we got this instead. Very lemony and has a sweet glaze on top. 3/5The ambiance is bright like you're in a beach house. They close early and they will turn all the lights on to signal it's time to leave. Overall, the variety on the menu was a plus but the quality and taste of the food was just ok. Was there anything that stood out that will make me want to keep coming back? Not really, except maybe when they have the Wild Thai Banana Cookie.

Wow! Summer House was so delicious we had to come back a few days after dinner for brunch. What might be even better than the food though is the ambiance and staff. Every waiter we had was so kind, informative and authentic. And don't get me started on Scott, the GM. Summer House knows service and treating their clientele well!Dinner: My husband and I got the dream puffs for an app which was delicious, but our waiter suggested to get a side of marinara which really upped the game! I would make sure to add that on when ordering. The Costa Mesa was a perfect green addition--a balance of fresh, tangy and hearty! As for the mains we split the ribs. When the staff here tells you something is big, they aren't lying! We got the meal split and it looked like two separate meals.Brunch: The short rib eggs look small, but are hearty and fulfilling. The short rib falls apart in your mouth and I loved the flavor on the potatoes. The tostadas were also the perfect mesh of flavors and the avocado was so fresh! Deserts: I'm not usually a desert person...but don't skip out on the lemon gooey cake! Wowwowwowww. As for brunch, the cinnamon roll is a must. Again, not kidding on the huge size, you definitely get your moneys worth AND it might be the best cinnamon roll I've had. The icing, blueberries and lemon candy on top make it so good. I just wish the icing was more tart than sweet, but that's a personal preference.Cookies: When you walk into Summer House is the BIG cookie bar. $5 a piece isn't terrible for the size, and we asked for the cookie to be heated and they gave us almond milk to dunk in. The sea salt chocolate and coconut chocolate chip will make you dance in your seat.Overall, Summer House has something for everyone, the space is beautiful and inviting and the staff will treat you right. Whether it's date night, taking friends from out of town, or just having some time to yourself you won't go wrong dining here!

Despite signage suggesting Summer House Santa Monica the location inside Durango Casino & Resort is actually Lettuce Entertain You's first branch of the "California-inspired Restaurant" out west, and regardless of what might be inside the Cookie Bar out front is a sight for sore eyes.Taking a Spago-esque approach to Market-fresh fare, think Pizzas and Pastas plus plates from an all-wood grill, it is for roughly $5-6 each that guests will find a dozen or more daily baked good including everything from classic Chocolate Chip with big dark chunks to Rice Crispy Treats with or without bits of Oreo in the mix.A natural feeling space bathed in light, Rockwell Group taking on LEYE's first off-Strip venture, guests not fond of Cocoa will find "Birthday Cake" far outpacing crumbl's famous Frosted Cookie while both glazed Lemon and Peanut Butter eat soft and chewy within a gently crisp rim.Always impressing with an Oatmeal Scotchie, think crispy but sweet with just a bit of flex, Summer House's Apple Oatmeal Cookie reminisces of Autumn Apple Crisp in portable form while the "Cookie in a Cup" offers bite-sized bits of the whole collection.

This is inside the Durango Hotel and we had a wonderful New Years Day brunch. For starters, the Potato Salad Deviled Eggs and Cheesy Dream Puffs were amazing! The Green Chili Breakfast Burrito was great, but we probably won't order this next time due to the smaller portion. I liked the Egg Sandwich, which the salad that came with it was awesome. We also enjoyed Picnic Fried Chicken Basket for Kids. The interior is very nice and super chill vibes. The place also has its own restrooms, so no need to go outside in the casino. They also have a large outdoor area we might try if we return. All our glasses were super dirty, but it was quickly taken care of. Our server Noelia was super bubbly and extremely friendly. We would come back just for her! They offer military discount too.Just like other reviews, this place is bougie and pricey for the portions, but just expect that. Super friendly service, good food, and chill atmosphere. If we're in the neighborhood, we might try the Giant Cinnamon Roll.

Summer House is a must visit during any season, whether it's winter, spring, summer, or fall. We visited during the winter on the final weekend of 2024, where I made a reservation on 12/28/24 at 7:15pm. They can be found in the back lot of the Durango Casino, in which they are an easy find.Out front they have a cookie bar, with endless and delicious cookie choices, including cookies in a cup. My boyfriend wanted to take a peek at this before leaving because they just looked so good! We were guided to a small booth near the exit. It was a little busy at the time of our visit but it wasn't too packed. We looked over the menu and spotted the cheesy dream puffs under the appetizer category. We chose to share these and WOW, so huge, so puffy and so good! They were like soufflés that were shaped like chefs hats. We ended up finishing them all even before our entrees came out. Our waiter told us that the cheesy puffs were quick to make, and that our entrees would be ready in about 15-20 minutes. Our entrees were a Margherita pizza for me and a picnic fried chicken basket for my boyfriend. His entree literally came with a mountain of fries and two big chicken tenders. He almost always finishes everything on his plate, but this was too big for him to finish, so he had to take it back with him as leftovers. I almost finished my pizza in one sitting, but I just couldn't do it. I think I had four slices before stopping and taking it back with me.We checked out the cookie bar before leaving. The cookies looked so good but we were too full to take any back with us. Maybe next time! We really liked this place.

Got a last minute reservation at Summer House. I was a little apprehensive to go because a friend who went mentioned that she went to lunch once and her salad was not good. So, in my mind, that stuck, if you mess up a simple salad, how would the other dishes fair? I've also bought some of their cookies in the past, they were on the dry side. So, I have been putting off coming here.Maybe it was what my friend ordered, but I was pleasantly surprised that majority of what we ordered turned out good! The Steak Frites could have been a disaster, but turned out really good! The special of lobster bisque had a good taste but was too watery. The other appetizers that our friends ordered, they said were amazing! The star of the show was their warm lemon dessert! I would skip the chocolate cake, it was not bad, but was not amazing. The service was on point, staff were friendly and attentive. Loved the ambiance! I would definitely come back and skip the lobster bisque if they offer it.
