One of the better sports books in LV. I believe this is the only book in LV that is open 24/7, which nakes it convenient to wager when you're in a hurry. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because they no longer give drink coupons for placing bets. I've never been to a book in LV that doesn't give you drink coupons. You can place a $1000 wager and you ain't getting anything. Pros: Hot Dog cart located next to the seating area Comfortable seating with a spacious lounge Deli conveniently located in the book24/7 Starbucks nearby Plenty of monitors Betting sheets always stocked

We've enjoyed this sports book several times. The tables are kept relatively clean. The recling chairs are super-comfy. We like tables near the bar too, those chairs are comfy and there are TVs everywhere. Easy to find your game. The betting windows staffed by usually ungrumpy folk, who help understand your bet if you're unsure.I did make a few bets using the machines. You need to cash in all bets and change scrips (if you put $25 in the machine and bet $22, you get a scrip for $3) at the betting windows. Note you CANNOT make ALL bets at the machine, for example, no way to bet on futures like Super Bowl winner or NFC/AFC champion.Bonus that the $1.50 hot dog stand is near, or if needed the Del Mar Deli for somewhat expensive pizza and/or wings, pretty tasty.Bottled water is $1, coffee is $2 from your server, if you can flag her down. :) I think they should have yellow penalty flags that we can display to get the server-referee to come by :)

I love the sports book here there's a lady named Fernanda that cleans constantly and has a great personality, a lot of dirty sports books in LV but the sports book here is spotless. 5 Star cleaner-Fernanda

Welcome back to your South Point Sports Book!Come and place those bets!!In the post COVID world we can now come back to South Point and bet in person on our favorite sports events. As one walks through the sports book here at the hotel it is forever changed. The fan based thrill of this sports book, is gone. Gone are the days when you would hear fans yelling and screaming when your team won. The seats are arranged COVID style and your not allowed to sit next to anyone, even if your together. The ambiance of the sports book is a low scream, no jumping for joy. No go team go! No high fives from strangers because you share the same team love and joy. The employees that take your bets are happy. The staff provide the only enthusiasm with a smile and a nod. The small talk banter that was shared among the betting staff is at a minimum. We need to breathe life back into our sports center. Come and bring your cheer. Let's raise and celebrate again our favorite sports events. Where there is laughter and joyous noise is the key. Don't be afraid to laugh and giggle. Your here to have a good time. Act like it! Others will follow. All the seats are arranged as if you are going to play musical chairs. Remember when the music stopped and you know it's time to sit down. That's the feel as you maneuver through the maze of chairs. As you pass one chair with it without people in them the life of the sports book needs a revival. We have to be that "voice." Next time your placing your bet in person when your team wins shout out. I want to hear you! "Yeah!! Go team go!!" Sometimes we are afraid to speak up. Use that voice and cheer when your team wins. Express when they loose. Don't be a spoil sport! We all have to act accordingly of course in public. Mind your manners and don't offend others. Love and happiness always are the true winners. Here's to beer and the bets that we can now place in person. Remember that only at South Point. Lean in now this is important. When placing our bets here "only at South Point," when your team ties, you get your money back. Usually, everywhere else when your team ties, the house wins in Vegas. All the more important to place those wagers here at South Point. Another perk when you place a sports bet above $25 you get a coupon for a free adult beverage. It must be used within twenty four hours though. If they forget to give you the drink perk just ask. These coupons can be used at any bar in South Point for a domestic beer, well house drink, or house glass of wine. The televisions are going over head and now when you bet the pens have disappeared. How can you fill out the parley card. It's done by speaking. You will inform the cashier what wager you want to make. It's the post COVID world and germs are real. Please allow for extra time, and extra cleaning measures. We all want to keep our health. Masks are mandatory when placing a bet or watching your favorite sports event. Any questions please ask the staff. They are more than happy to assist you with anything Remember to bring the happy! Raise up your beverage and cheer on your favorite team. Be the one that starts the wave. Make sure and cheer with your mask on. We all have to be safe and keep our germs to our selves. Make sure and play the game of musical chairs when viewing those sports events from the sports book. Please gamble responsibly and may Lady Luck smile upon you.

We came here over the weekend to place our bets for the first football Sunday of the season! In all my years of living in Vegas, I had actually never been to the sportsbook here. I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice it was.It definitely is a nice, clean area. To be honest, it didn't stink too much with smoke which I know quite a few sports book places sometimes do. There was a lounge area nearby and instead of sitting in the chairs staring up at the screens, we grabbed a table in the lounge, had some drinks and enjoyed our time. It was fun to watch people around cheering for games that were on, too. In the weirdest way, there's definitely a sense of community at the sports books haha. Unfortunately, none of our bets won us any money, but we certainly did have a lot of fun selecting them! We aren't the biggest gamblers but I'm sure we will be back eventually!

When I have the day off and I wanna make a bet or chill at a sports book, this is where I end up. Pros-- 24 hours a day (1 of only 2 books in the city that are open 24 hrs, to the best of my knowledge) (the other being Gold Coast)- ticket writers have been friendly and helpful to me 95% of the time (there's always that 1 bad apple, I guess)-I love how they have sports and race sides completely separate and independent of each other. I'm honestly surprised more of the new books don't follow this plan. It keeps race bettors out of the way of the sports bettors and vice versa.- Plenty of food options nearby with Steak and Shake and the Del Mar Deli- Writers have been generous with the drink tickets, just slide them a few bucks when asking for them ;) works like a charm-Park in the south end of the parking lot for quick access, the book is actually located on the opposite end of the casino from the parking structureCons--can get kind of busy in there and lines can get long-lines aren't the greatest, but its close to where I live...so it's convenient..I like this book a LOT more than the book at GVR (which is the next closest book to me)..and will continue to come back...it's solid and I definitely recommend it!4 stars.

It will be nice to hire people with a better attitude! People that don't snap at you by just asking a simple question! A little bit more experience or know how to talk to people! I guess there is no respect for the guest that come to this hotel or sports book. This place has no credibility at all! Try it for yourself...!Very bad experience with the employee at the sports book so I just left. She was very rude!!It felt like because of my Race and the name of the Country that I was trying to put money on suddenly the behavior changed!!It doesn't cost anything to have a smile on! Be patient to listen then answer. I will never go back again! There is so much more to say but at this point it doesn't matter because probably no one cares to address their behavior!

Raul the bartender treated me my two friends and I like third class citizens. I don't know if it's because we're ethnic looking & a different race than him. However, I've never been so rudely treated. He barely came on shift. we weren't gambling so we were gonna pay for the drinks . He wanted to charge us for drinks which we were fine with. But, then we said we were not gambling and we would rather pay for the drinks, my friend said "OK I'll put a 20 in. I said, "it's not worth losing a 20 for three dollars in charges". I told the bartender I'd pay cash. When my friend put the $20 bill in the machine, he said he didn't want to pay for the water assuming it would be comped based on the fact that he plays at the SouthPointe all the time. He is a registered Casino guest and we played at the tables and slots for about four hours. Because this is Yelp, I am not gonna specify my name or my friend's name. However, you can ask that bartender, Raul, who should not be working there to give his side of the story. I am certain he will switch the story to his advantage. I have two witnesses that we can do a three-way call if necessary. You may private message me. I hope that you will respond to this review & at the point that my friend made the comment about he wasn't gonna pay for the drink. The bartender rudely grabbed the water. It almost appeared to be a joke but then we realized he was serious! The three of us witnessesd this and were Beyond SHOCKED. I told the bartender that he was rude and how can he treat us as such? Raul said I just got on shift and didn't know you were gambling earlier. Aren't you a casino? Players like my friend keep the lights on and pay for the salaries. Why would anybody come on shift in a bad mood and assume people are not gambling??? Not knowing the background or the situation. not to mention, he never cared to learn that my friend is a registered gambler. The only positive note is another employee witnessed it and came over and apologized on behalf of the rude bartender At least this was an attempt to make things right and it made us feel good that they apologized. He is a well-known employee and has helped me numerous times. However, he does not want to be mentioned in this review as for he fears having issues or problems with his job if he was to rat somebody out. Since he seems to be a company, man. I look forward to a resolution and some type of response. I am hopeful that the employee will be reprimanded and the situation will be addressed properly. Thank you very much for allowing me the opportunity to express the aforementioned.
