This store is generally well stocked with a good selection of food and decent prices, but it's also very busy (it's the only Smith's for everyone in Mountain's Edge and Southern Highlands). The crowds are the biggest problem with this place. The store has a chronic problem with the banks of self-checkout machines near the door being full and no one really knowing where to line up, so you get these weird split lines going in different directions and people are unsure where the line is or how long, if there's one line for all the banks or separate lines for each.If I go to check out and there's a line at self checkout, I often just walk around the store a bit and let the lines clear up, or use one of the adjacent manned registers (or their weird self-checkout line that looks like a regular check stand with a belt). I've actually found that going to a manned register is sometimes faster than their self checkout because of the latter's lines. They actually have a bank of self checkouts towards the back of the store that are always shut down (maybe loss prevention?). Having those on during the week would be very useful but probably a good reason they're not. They do get a trashy, sketchy crowd among the other locals. The parking lot is always a zoo, plus there's weirdos driving around the lot trying to sneak up on people and cause accidents. I'll often park on the clearer southern end of the lot near the Ace Hardware and walk to the store from there. If you can, I'd enter the lot from northbound Southern Highlands or from westbound Somerset Hills. Driving from any other direction is a nightmare.

When you read all the subpar reviews on virtually all of Smith's grocery stores in Las Vegas, you wonder how this company can stay in business. On the other hand, I have a different take on my local Smith's on Southern Highlands Parkway and Cactus. A grocery store is a grocery store [to me] unless it's dirty or understocked; what sets this one apart is the people who work there. Most of the staff are friendly, helpful, and easy to approach. There are lots of thank yous and smiles. As I've always said, the employees set a business apart. While this Smith's market is the busiest I've ever seen in Las Vegas, it could be because the employees are so pleasant, it is stocked very well, and I find it cleaner than most.

This is my go to Smiths, I don't get why it's rated so low! They are always stocked with everything and the service is great. Bread.

I'm so sick of the scam that these stores use with their digital coupons. The last two times I've tried to use them they didn't work. Even the employee couldn't get them to work. It is such a scam!! I left both times out of frustration and feeling like I'm being ripped off. I'm done with this company.

This is the worst Smith's location I've ever been to! Yesterday evening, I purchased a 3 pack of Ferrero Rocher. Tonight, I ate it with my toddler. I thought it tasted off, so I examined the wrapper and it expired June 15, 2021! Why is there expired candy out for sale? I understand it being expired a couple of months, but 3.5 years?! I immediately went in to explain what happened. The night shift manager, "Debbie" said all she could do was give me money back. She also said she "didn't know the corporate number, or when the day shift managers would be in." Debbie also didn't believe I bought the candy from this store. I told her she can check the cameras, and she replied: "I don't have access to the footage!" I am so disappointed with how this situation was handled. If you want good customer service, and food that's not expired then do not visit this location! *Also, there is still expired candy out at the front registers so be aware.*

This store has really gone downhill since the pandemic. I visited this evening to run in and get a few quick items and one of the employees called Linda was one of the most toxic people I've experienced in a long time. Until tonight, I've never had an employee at a grocery store get in my face and raise their voice. This lady clearly hates her life as well as the store's customers that provide her with a job. I for one will never visit this store again.I asked to speak to a manger and Chad, the front end manager, was not much better. He did not attempt to understand the situation or rectify the situation. I asked for a full refund. He told me if I wanted help I could call the customer service 800-number and then gave me a non-working phone number. As for the grocery store itself, they have decent pricing if you can get figure out how to navigate the multiple purchase requirements, barcode scanning for sale items and other confusing requirements. The store had at least one full aisle completely full of boxes and closed down - you would think they would take care of making the store look nice in the after-hours so customers can navigate and find the items they need. The grocery store business is competitive and there are plenty of better options in the area - and employees that value their customers.

This is actually the worst, most poorly managed Smiths I have ever been too. Nothing is stocked. They are constantly leaving boxes in the aisles but no one is ever stocking anything. I bought sushi one day and the rice was hard and undercooked. Everything in the deli and bakery is sloppily made and tastes horrible. The rotisserie chickens are pathetic. It's just a disorganized chaotic mess and has been that way for the two years I've lived by it. I had to get a Costco membership and don't shop here anymore because it's just too disorganized. The regional manager needs to wake up and fire the managers of this store and do a complete overhaul of its senior staff bc they aren't cutting it.

I absolutely hate coming coming to this location They need to hire better workers, especially the guy, Jay Every single time I come here I have a bad experience. He clearly hates his job. I've had a encounter with him multiple times same experience I will be reaching out to corporate about him how he treats customers is unacceptableoh, and when you go up to the register He is on his phone and he is completely bothered that he has to work and do his job He doesn't help bag any of the stuff and leaves me that is completely pregnant with a little girl to bag everything He has a total nasty attitude Like if you hate your job and hate dealing with customers your clearly in the wrong profession and I know I can't be the only one to complain about this man

I'm taking my $2k+ a month to Albertsons. I pull up 20 minutes early on Thanksgiving and they are turning everyone away. They advertise 2pm and then shut people down at the last minute on one of the most important holidays. I had my whole day planned around that 2pm closing time.
