Slidin' Thru

Slidn Thru was once an iconic and craveable truck that dominated the 2010's Vegas Food Truck scene. I was pleasantly surprised to see it still up and running at a work event recently. The sliders were good but not what it once was. Flavor and everything was there but needed sooo much more sauce. For Both the Pep Pep and the Barby, it's like they added the sauce with an eyedropper. The sweet potato fries were pretty solid!Hoping to see this truck out and about more and try it again.

Let me start by saying this review is based on my experience while they were at First Friday. The service is friendly and despite a crowd, they are able to prepare the order quickly. My boyfriend and I ordered the Peppep slider with a side of sweet potato fries. The fries were good and the slider was just okay. The meat was cooked well, but it lacked seasoning. The homemade sauce was good, but the slider could have used more. Where I found the slider lacking was in the bun- the bun was dry and could have benefited from being toasted.

Awesome sliders, great service. Peppep was epic! Ingot 2 sliders and fries. The first slider was the pepep and the second was the captains order. Peppep - Flavor was outstanding. Grilled onions were on point. Captains order - First bite was really good, I noticed the middle was getting to be very "rare". I love rare steak, but draw the line with ground anything. Didn't finish this one. Buns, veggies and toppings were all fresh, quality and quantity. Fries - surprisingly good... I know you're thinking "really you're reviewing the fries"? YES I am. These were nice thick crinkle cut fries, that were actually crunchy but still soft in the middle. It's amazing how many places have terrible fries!! So when someone gets it right they deserve recognition. They also added a bit of seasoning which was perfect. Service - Crew was really nice and friendly. I had a migraine so I took forever staring at the menu. Didn't feel rushed, had some friendly conversation. Prep time - Seemed that my food was made fresh, from watching the chef. Came out super fast. Overall - I liked the food, I liked the service. I think the one rare slider was probably just a fluke. I'll be back next time I see them.

Stopped by at their truck behind the restaurant supply across the street from ventura munitions and MAN am i glad i did. I got the sweet potato fries which had an amazing sweet, salty and savory seasoning on them which was awesome. The mystery chicken slider was frikin insanely good and i shouldve gotten another one. And the peppep was a solid little burger with good quality meat and the house sauce was really good. All in all great quality all around from the buns, to the meat, to the toppings and will definetly try again. I wouldve provided a picture had i not eaten it so fast lol

Holy moly what happened to this truck? Haven't had it for many years. They were giving out sliders for some event today and she brought them to share with me for lunch. Dry, 2 day old bread it seems and nothing like the pictures on yelp. A national burger chain ad is closer to reality than this. If they are downgrading the quality to give out free burgers at an event that's a big mistake. If this is what paying customers get now that's even worse.

Although I tried the sliders at the food truck they have on UNLV campus, I have to say these are the most pathetic sliders I've ever had/seen. The buns were really dry and if u pinched it in between ur fingers it literally crumbles like sand, it feels like they dug through a bakeries dumpster to find day old bread. The Patty on the sliders are like really small and they put the smallest conceivable piece of cheese on the sliders. The fries were cold and somewhat soft like they barely microwaved frozen great value fries. Not to mention the service, the guy that took my order was kinda rude when I didn't understand what he was asking. I would NOT recommend this place at all

I stopped by there when they were at UNLV and I have to say I was extremely disappointed in they entire experience. The truck looked nice and everything looked clean. The first thing wrong however was the sign said the burgers were $5 each but I paid $13 for 2. I don't remember tax being 30% so I think they had the wrong price listed. Next I asked the guy taking my order if they had cheddar cheese, and it seemed like he didn't know what that was because he just asked if I meant the yellow one. As for my burgers I got the the plain Jane and the peppep. The burgers I got looked nothing like the picture's advertised on the truck. I feel like I got catfished since the pictures on the truck looked very good and what I received was the quality of school cafeteria food at best. In the pictures it looked like cheese was oozing off the burgers but on mine it looked like they gave me a quarter of a craft single. So basically I ended up paying way too much for school cafeteria food when I should have just gone to the in n out right next to campus to get something way better and cheaper than what I received.
