Drive by this place every day and wondered what it was all about. This might be our new date night spot. I'd come here just to fulfill my sweet tooth cravings. There was not a single dish that let us down. Everything was really good. Even the house bread was good. It was so soft and delicious. Dipped it in our pasta sauce. Excellent. Branzino was tender. Sauce was light and flavorful. Balanced out the heartiness of the short ribs which was also superb. My bf doesn't normally like sweets but he said it was the best Chocolate Gelato and Pistachio Affogato he's ever had. The gelato was so silky and smooth. Last but not least, the service was spot on. They were constantly checking if everything was okay. Cleaned our tables during every course. Our waters were always full. Even gave us the Chocolate Gelato on the house since we were celebrating our anniversary. I'd wanna keep this place a secret just so I don't want to be on a waiting list but I want this place to stay open so give it a shot!

My husband and I can't count the number of times we've had dinner at Sgrizzi. We love Italian food and typically the food is phenomenal! However, when we came for date night this last Thursday we were severely let down. The service was and always is phenomenal...but when I ordered my favorite pasta dish ( the chicken riggies ) I barely recognized it. Maybe someone new was in the kitchen but the dish was extremely watery and the noodles were tough and undercooked. I was pretty surprised since I've had it quite a few times and loved it but Thursday was a major let down.

I've been here a few times for dinner, and I really enjoy the atmosphere in the evening. The dinner menu and flavors are excellent. However, my first experience with their brunch was a bit disappointing. Everything was overly salty, especially their pasta. The croissant with egg and ham was the best thing I ordered--it wasn't salty and was cooked perfectly. The cheese dish was okay, but it was still too salty for my taste. I've had their meatballs for dinner before and thought they were great, but for some reason, during brunch, they were tough and overly salty. I'll definitely continue coming back for dinner, but I hope they make some improvements to their brunch menu. I think it would really help their business!

We had been to Sgrizzi for brunch and had tried the bakery, which is excellent. But finally we got to go for dinner, which is more of an experience. And that "experience" aspect is the strongest attribute of this place - from when we first walked in and began waiting for a table, the chef came over and entertained us with information about different instruments and techniques, to when we were seated and deciding and the chef again came over to discuss what was the freshest and most interesting options for us to order. That direct line of communication with the chef, along with plenty of great service from the rest of the staff, really made this experience the peak experience it could be.The table side risotto was an amazing recommendation that our table really savored. The calamari we had was probably the best I've ever had, it was amazingly light and fresh. My only reason for giving less than 5 stars is just that the price is high, and some dishes really warrant it, while other dishes we had were less remarkable. The service and experience overall were great though.I would definitely recommend Sgrizzi for an amazing night out!

Weekend Brunch ReviewWe love Chef Marc - having experienced a couple of his past restaurants and having such a great experience with him. One of our fondest memories was at his pizza place on Eastern in Henderson - Novecento. We had ordered a pizza and Chef Marc happened to be walking by and saw it. He was not happy with how it came out and offered to make us a new one. He invited us behind the counter to help him make it and the Husband had the best time doing it. (I was watching the Little Guy, so my hands were full.) He was so personable and just a lovely person in this casual encounter. On another occasion, we were dining with a large party at Parma by Chef Marc and the 7-course menu had been pre-organized. Chef Marc came out to talk to our large table and to go over each item. It was such an engaging evening with wonderful food. When word got out that Chef Marc was opening up a restaurant in the southwest area of town, we couldn't wait! It was a bit confusing intially with the opening of Florentine Cafe also. From what I gather, Florentine Cafe is a pastry shop with mostly sweet items and desserts. They are a few savory options though. It's mostly a take out place as there really isn't any seating and I'm not sure if you can sit in the Sgrizzi Restaurant side. Meanwhile, Sgrizzi Restaurant and Bar by Chef Marc is mostly open for dinner. However, they do offer a weekend brunch option and that's how we found ourselves dining there. With a limited menu, our party of four went with four dishes to share. They offer four savory options, two sweet ones, and three pasta dishes. I've seen a few Instagram reels and their affogato looks amazing. However, I didn't want to order this decadent drink until after our brunch came out.* Giambotta $18 - This was surprisingly quite a large size, but a bit one note. The Husband mentioned that if you got a bite of the hot cherry pepper, it helped a lot. Unfortunately, my few bites didn't include that. It also came with an arugula salad and focaccia bread. 3/5* Polenta, Egg & Mushroom $16 - Their polenta was very good, mushrooms well cooked, and came with 2 sunny side up eggs. It also came with an arugula salad and focaccia bread. 4/5* Bucatini Carbonara $20 - This pasta was heavy from the moment you looked at it. It was good, but definitely puts you out for the day if you eat the whole dish to yourself. 4/5* Bucatini Basil Pesto $18 - Their version is more on the creamier side, so again, it was quite heavy. Good, but can put you to sleep if you consume the whole thing. It's considered a "summertime classic", but I think a lighter version would be nice too. 4/5The manager came by our table earlier to drop off a couple of hot sauces, which I believe is made by one of the partners. This is definitely something you need to add to the omelette dishes. When it came down to it, this was a heavy meal for a weekend brunch and we had leftovers as well. As a result, I never made it to the affogato as it was just too much. Their dinner menu is quite extensive though and would love to return to check that out.

We had brunch here on Saturday. We were early, so not a lot of people were inside. There is a limited menu for brunch items. I had the Brioche French Toast with berries on top. My friend had the meatball sub. The single slice of French Toast filled me up, but if you are a hearty eater, you would want more than that. It was veI wish it would have came with a slice or two of bacon. I don't remember seeing that as a side order. The meatballs on the sub were delicious. The sub was smothered with some serious cheese! The brunch menu is really limited in choices. The prices were very reasonable. When you first walk in, there is a little pastry & coffee/cappucino counter. Everything looks decadent! I have to come back to get a cannoli and a cappuccino! Off & running today!

My recent visit to Sgrizzi was nothing short of spectacular, highlighted by an array of dishes that truly captured the essence of Italian cuisine with a twist.I started with the Chopped Salad, a vibrant and fresh prelude to the feast that was to follow. The star of the show, however, was the 16oz Aged Butter and Herb Crusted Ribeye, cooked to perfection with an aromatic crust that added depth to every bite.A delightful surprise was the Buttery Parmesan Polenta, which came with a side of Mashed Carrots and Sweet Pickled Cabbage. Out of these three, the mashed carrots were my absolute favorite; their smooth texture and sweet, yet earthy flavor were a highlight of the meal, showcasing Chef Marc's ability to elevate simple ingredients into something extraordinary. The Chicken Riggies added a spicy kick that was not only delicious but also memorable. Their heat was balanced just right, making them a unique and addictive component of the meal.Sgrizzi stands out as potentially the best Italian restaurant in town. The combination of quality ingredients, innovative dishes, and the evident passion in every plate makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and exquisite dining experience in Las Vegas.

I just graduated from UNLV and I had a low-key celebration with my boyfriend at Sgrizzi following the commencement (a bigger celebration is to be held later). After seeing all the hype about Sgrizzi, a new Italian restaurant here in town, I thought this would be a great place to go to after achieving a major milestone in my life, as I have become the first person in my family to hold a bachelor's degree. When we walked in, we were greeted by a bakery with a different name. Initially, we believed that we walked into the wrong establishment, but the hostess asked us if we were dining in. We said yes, and she directed us to the door on the left to get to the dining area. So heads up to those planning to go to Sgrizzi in the future, you will be met with a nice little bakery when you enter.I made a reservation for 7:00pm on 12/18/24. We got a table near the back of the restaurant facing the kitchen, with Kevin being our waiter for the night. Once we were seated, we got started with a complimentary bread basket that had raisins in it, I believe. I'm not 100% sure if it was raisins, but it definitely looked like the texture of raisins. The bread also came with a small bowl of vinegar, which I felt to be a little strong for my taste.I enjoyed a glass of Chardonnay while we waited for our food to come out. If it wasn't on a Wednesday night and if I didn't drive here, I would've had more than one glass of this. We shared a plate of cheesy garlic bread as our appetizer. This was indeed cheesy and really good. Our entrees were the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe pasta for me and the Chicken Riggies pasta for my boyfriend. Unfortunately, it did take a long time for our food to come out...I think we waited between 20-30 minutes, if I remember correctly. It was busy at the time when we got there, but it was slowly filing out as we finished our cheesy garlic bread and as I finished my Chardonnay. The Bucatini was good and it had an exceptional quantity, but at the same time, I feel that they overdid it on the black pepper a bit, which made it spicier the more I finished it. And no, I did not ask for extra pepper. My boyfriend's Chicken Riggies, which also had an exceptional quantity, looked absolutely delicious with all that cheese and sauce mixed in. He said it was also spicy but that's because there were jalapeños mixed in.Anniversaries, date nights, get together with friends, or any other special occasion, Sgrizzi is the place to go. Come check them out!
