I decided to book the Sahara for a birthday staycation this year. Although the location isn't the best, they have recently renovated and the property is really nice, easy to maneuver, and still has free parking.Check in was a breeze- no line and no hassle. I'd been getting automated text messages the few days prior to my stay as well. I ended up paying an extra $50 per night for an upgrade. The upgraded room on the 28th floor of the Marra tower was lovely and well appointed, but it didn't have the full length mirror that the regular rooms have, which was a bummer. I almost asked to switch back to a regular room, but decided to stay. The bathroom was definitely nicer- much larger, the showers have 3 heads to choose from, and the bedding was more comfortable. The only downside of the room was the AC unit. It was LOUD!! It sounded like a jet was inside of the room. The gym on property was functional, but not well equipped- treadmills, elipticals, dumbbells, a few cable machines, and stability balls. Enough to get the job done though. Overall, I'm glad I chose the Sahara and will be back!

This is my first time coming to Sahara. I went to see Magic Mike Live and it was awesome. This casino didn't smell like stale cigarette smoke like many do. Parking is free. They also offer valet parking. You can also catch ride share, such as Uber and Lyft, as well as taxis.

First I would stay here again...It's definitely been updated from when I remembered it twenty years ago. So for those that haven't been here in a "while", it's no longer the dump it once was. I had avoided it based on my memories of a hot dog buffet and dumpy tables. But they have a monorail station and I came here for CES2025 and this was the most affordable option nearby that work would pay for...So why the mediocre review?1) My television loses signal a lot2) the volume doesn't work3) they need more lighting in the rooms4) they got rid of their poker room5) one of their pit boss is rude to their dealers - very rude and disrespectful. Also acted irritated every time she had to do her job "change $100". That's literally her job and she acts like a jerk about it. She doesn't even look so why even bother?

Their housekeeping stole my expensive perfume. Security hasn't done anything to help. Overall, the hotel is 2 stars. No accommodations, cant check out an hour later. Stay at the Fontainebleau or Wynn!

Stayed in a Blanca King room back in February. The good: low rates, recently renovated, free parking, next to the monorail station, quiet room. The bad: slow draining shower, random hairs on ottoman and nightstand, damaged bathroom tile, towel bar coming out of the wall, weak wifi.

Great Casino located by the Stratosphere! Free parking, plenty of food options and convenient monorail if you want to hit other casinos and save yourself a walk!I enjoy this location because it's easily accessible from the highway without much traffic! Looking forward to repeating a visit here!

I stopped by Sahara to get back to my hotel via Monorail after going downtown by bus. I left my wool coat in the lobby while going to the restrooms. Security found it and it was in lost and found. So after filling out a form, they gave it to me. I won a few bucks playing the $3 machine craps. Later I left my cell phone on the Willy Wonka slot. This slot gave me a bonus. I left and had to call and came back within an hour. Luckily, phone my phone was still lying on the machine. For new Club Card sign ups, they were giving $5 free play on certain machines, if you got $50 of slot play. They gave higher amounts depending on how much you spent. The floors un the lobby are super clean. I stayed at the hotel 4 years ago and they offered free drip Starbucks each day and discount Monorail offers. Plus no resort fees if you booked direct on Weekdays. The Lobby area seating smells good too this time.

Stay away from this scam. This is not the Sahara the Beatles, Elvis, and Sinatra stayed at. My buddies each spent $2K each and we did not get an ounce of respect.Staff was horrible - I mean laughably bad, and everything is a hustle. As I'm typing this, one of the goons is kicking a guy out of the hotel for waiting on his brother to check him in."Free drinks" are really up in the air at the bar and you can very easily get stuck paying $5 for a glass of coke, or $18 for a whisky and coke.We almost got kicked off the property for having our own bottle of whisky - despite there being no signs indicating this being not allowed and if you know the first thing about Vegas, you can carry alcohol around the city.. You don't threaten people who spend $2K each at your casino. The security officer also said that all drinks were "free". Liar. There was also blood on the covers and my buddy at checkout wasn't asked for his room number or keys... and then double checked that he in fact did 'check out' about 30 minutes later to be told he'd be charged a $45 fee.Stay. Away. From. This. Place.

The hotel common area near room elevators reek of the smell of weed. The air is thick and unclean. The guest rooms are void of clean air rather you're sleeping in rooms that smell like unclean ash trays of a chain cigarette smoker. The decorate is the worst I have ever seen; sheet white walls with thoughtless stencil like design at ceiling and coming up from floor. There huge 1/4 wall mirrors with led lights on 2 a window wall with a shade wallpaper print of pale people at the head of the bed. The 1960 white furniture doesn't help this room at all. This room is not for sleeping or resting or breathing.
