We decided to try this place because another was closed BUT we were not disappointed. From the time we walked in until we finished our meal our experience was amazing. Our server was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave true guidance re: the menu items. Our food was prepared relatively fast and cooked to perfection and the ambience in which we sat to enjoy this fabulous meal was relaxing and enjoyable. We even took dessert with us to enjoy later. Everything was so good, I even purchased the cookbook! I will be giving some of these recipes a try! Absolutely wonderful experience! I would go back.

Amazing. Please go here if you can! Make sure to make a reservation. We walked in right when they opened and had to sit at the bar and there are only 10 or so bar seats!Must gets:- Hummus and pita (duhh)- falafel (yum)- lamb kabobs- sooo gooood! (Forgot to take a pic) Only thing I'd avoid is getting the rice as a side. We didn't really like it.I will go back here and this time actually get a reservation!

This is a 1 month old concept restaurant with a popular chef. We got a chance to meet him and that was fun. The service and drinks were top notch and the setting was either great if you scored a good table or meh if you were in an active runway or near bathroom like we were. Don't leave this place without eating half to all of a pita. If you are a carb counter, plan ahead because it is worth it. The lamb Ragu hummus was great. The hummus was very creamy and I love crunchy chick peas on top of anything or nothing. I did find the Ragu to hummus ratio off a little and would have liked a little more hummus. The Ragu was also a little too greasy for my tastes. There were 3 of us so the 3 Wagyu dumplings worked but I could have eaten more! The sauces that came with the NY Strip made it a non standard steak offering and worth the try if you are in the mood.

Safta 1964 By Alon Shaya is a Modern Middle Eastern Style Restaurant located in the Jardin in the Encore part of the Wynn Casino/Hotel. This restaurant is by James Beard Award Wining Chef Alon Shaya. His Denver location of Safta is Michelin Recognized. The Las Vegas Location has a stunning atmosphere. It's light, It's bright and airy. The furniture is beautiful. The floor is also beautiful with tiles that make a colorful floral design. They also have outdoor seating in a beautiful garden. By day this is a different restaurant called Jardin that is open for breakfast and lunch so Safta 1964 by Alon Shaya is only open for dinners.Safta translates to Grandmother in Hebrew. This restaurant is a tribute to the chef's Grandmother who influenced and contributed to what is served here. They started us off with a complimentary keepsake polaroid shot of us at a pretty wall of flowers in the restaurant. Then we walked by the interesting bar area and I noticed a book about food written by the chef.We were greeted by a number of different people during our visit. We started out by sharing a BUNCH of things. We shared the Salatim Platter (dips, spreads, vegetables, pita) hummus, and falafels. WE WERE BLOWN AWAY BY EVERYTHING! Everything was delicious. The hummus was among the very best I tasted anywhere. It had a creaminess like only the very best can have. Falafels were the herby type with a shattering crisp exterior. All of the Salatim platter was delicious. Our favorite was the eggplant/pepper/tomato spread (Lutenitsa) Sooooogood! (we packed up some pitas and a little dip so we could save a little room but would have been easy to just eat)We ordered a lot so we shared the Dover Sole Schnitzel. It was fried nice and the fish was sweet and seemed fresh. It came with tzatziki sauce and these very good and pretty onion petals. This was good but didn't pop as much as everything else.I was full by now but wanted to try dessert anyway. We tried the Safta's Delights. They were ALL VERY VERY GOOD but it also was an amazing adventure of not one, NOT two, not three, not for BUT FIVE KINDS of bite sized miniature desserts. FIFTEEN of them. Blueberry rugula, halvah, baklava, a fancy chocolate/coffee dessert, and our favorite a teeny tiny lemon tart. I would highly recommend getting this. Our servers were helpful, and kind. It was very thoughtful to give us reheat directions for our pita breads. The chef was there and thanked us for coming and asked for our feedback.Parking was easy and free. (First three hours are free and we don't have to drive on much strip to get here)If you love different flavors and also enjoy vegetables I would highly recommend dining at Safta 1964 by Alon Shaya.

You'll get a very pleasant experience at Safta. It's got a warm, bright atmosphere and all the staff were quite helpful. The sommelier recommended a nice bottle of Archery Summit Pinot noir to start with. It was a great recommendation that paired will with everything we had. Started off with some roasted mushroom hummus. The hummus is really tasty, but what really sold it was the hot, freshly baked pita that it comes with. After that, we ordered a bunch of the small plates so we could get a full taste of it all. The falafel was super crispy (maybe just a tad too crispy) but very flavorful. We also got the scallops which was a super interesting take as it was served over whipped potatoes and pistachios. Not something I would pair together if I was making it at home, but it really worked well and super glad we ordered it. We also had the lamb kebabs (my personal favorite of the night), and the shish natal dumplings. We finished the meal with the crispy eggplant dish. I had been to several of the other Alon Shaya restaurants before and this particular visit is one that I won't forget. This restaurant has it all!

Must do, but only till April, it's a residency so get in while you can. Ambiance and food is exceptional and based off the head chefs grandmas receipts and time passing through Vegas herself in the 60s.

Amazing food! I highly recommend the babaganoush and pita and the lamb shank. It seems like this place is a trial/temporary restaurant, I hope it stays.
