My daughter and I love Persian food. She's half Persian. We've eaten at several Persian restaurants in LA. We were pleasantly surprised when we visited Rumi (great name that honors the poet!). The food was great and tasty. The menu features Persian, Indian and Pakistani dishes. We loved the ambiance and the decor. It made me nostalgic of all the places we know West LA. The customer service was great. Our server was attentive and polite. The prices were excellent and the size of the dishes were enough to make you happy. The restaurant opened 9 months ago and it's in an up and coming area in a luxury apartment building complex. I would recommend this place to anybody who loves Persian and Indian food.

Second time trying Rumi Room. The first time was left over chicken tiki masala. So good, I couldn't get enough of it.This time I ended up going in person and it was a fairly good experience but some parts missed the mark. They go pretty heavy on the oil here I am not sure why... I got the shirazi salad and the dressing was way to oily. Every time I have had it in the past from other places it was not made with that much oil.Got the chicken tiki masala again and it was amazing once again.I ordered one skewer of beef koobideh and it was pretty good. It had a strange taste that I can't really identify. It didn't taste like any koobideh that I have had before. I am not sure if it is mixed with lamb or not. Not that it was bad but it just didn't taste how I expected it to.Service wasn't the best here. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't good. It felt uncoordinated amongst the staff members.I think its worth trying out. Some of the food was really tasty.

Good for date night. Great ambiance. But its not somewhere we'd go to grab quick dinner or lunch. We went at lunch, there was no one else there. We ordered a butter chicken w naan and a lamb shank. I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely the salad, and rice were. Lamb was well made, but could use more flavor. Butter chicken itself was very mediocre. They charged us $7 for a bottle of water (of which we were not informed of when we asked for water) which was kinda upsetting. Food was overpriced imo. Overall, would not recommend, and would not come back again.

Located in a small plaza with ample parking spaces. The restaurant had dim lighting and very nice ambiance. We made a reservation for a group of four and it was not that busy on a week night, and plenty of seating. The host was super friendly and checked in regularly. She gave great recommendations as well.We did family style and ordered the following:- vegi samosa -- crispy outer puff pastry with well seasoned stuffing; dipping came with a red chutney sauce and a mildly spicy green sauce. I liked to mix both sauces together and use as a dipping sauce for not only the samosa but also the naan we ordered- garlic naan -- nice and crispy; super good to eat as is and dipped with the chicken tikka masala we ordered as well - chicken tikka masala -- well seasoned; plenty of sauce for eating with the rice or naan; we got mild spice- beef koobideh kabob -- ground meat skewer; this was my favorite; so tender and flavorful - shish kabob -- medium rare filet chunks; tasty but a bit too meaty for my preference Everything was so tasty, so eating family style was great since we got to try a bit of everything and this ended up being plenty of food along with leftovers for takeout Highly recommend!

Rumis Room is delicious! The grand restaurant itself is extremely well decorated and welcoming. We had an amazing server, who was quite informed regarding their menu items. Our order did not disappoint! We've had our fair share of Persian, and Pakistani/ Indian cuisine and I can tell you the chef in their kitchen knows exactly what they're doing! Our kabobs were tender and juicy, while our Desi dishes were flavorful, and well executed. Moreover, their presentation was impeccable!I LOVED this place!Highly recommend to anyone looking to eat Persian or Pakistani / Indian cuisine. You will find the best of all three countries.Literally, amazing.Cheers to beautiful restaurants and even better food Yelpers xx

I was instantly blown away by the decor of this restaurant. To sum it up, it was posh, modern, and elegant. They have a fairly large dining space that can accommodate a range of parties. We had made reservations, which made the dining experience more seamless. The concept here is unique, offering a mix of Persian, Indian, and Pakistani food. I was excited to see one of my favorite appetizers on their menu, Kashk bademjan. The dish here was tangy and had bold onion flavors. For my main dish, I enjoyed the chicken tikka masala. I have to say this is THE BEST I have ever had. It was the perfect level of spice and creamiest curry. Paired with their garlic naan, it was a match made in heaven! I would encourage you to save some room for dessert, they offer a pistachio cake, very similar to a princess cake, which is mouthwateringly sweet! I cannot wait to come back and try the koobideh and their samosa. Check out their website/social media accounts for lunch specials!I almost forgot to mention how generous the portions are!!!! I was glad I had some leftover to take home.

This was seriously one of the best meals I have had in the last year and is officially my 2024 restaurant of the year. I am not even joking, I had dreams about the meal I had and about when I could go back and immediately decided to come back for my birthday dinner. The inside is gorgeous, the staff are incredibly kind and informative, and most importantly, the food will knock your freaking socks off! As the name suggests, there are three sections of the menu, Persian, Indian, and Pakistani. Most dishes you can choose what type of meat you want, including, but not limited to, chicken, lamb, and goat. I opted for the lamb korma off of the Indian menu, my date chose the chicken tikka masala, we shared the vegetarian samosas and butter naan, and each got a delicious glass of wine. For plenty of amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere, I was surprised the bill was under $100.The naan was tender, chewy, and the perfect dipper for the amazing sauces which accompanied out dishes. The samosas were filled with peas and mashed potatoes and came with two sauces, one spicy and one sweet. I loved going back between both of them. The lamb korma, let me tell you, I could literally bathe in that sauce every day it is so good. It seriously blew my mind how amazing it was and when I go back, I have to stop myself from ordering it again so I can try the other dishes.Do yourself a favor and go here! Do not let this place fail; it is far too good for that and I will be forever mad at you.

Very delicious. We are persian and love to support persian restaurants. The meat was very tender and the rice was well cooked and subtly aromatic. Do I think it needs the Indo-Pak fusion? Not necessarily. Let the traditional flavors shine. However, the samosas were delicious and a nice change from our usual.
