If you're planning to dine on a Friday night without a reservation, be prepared for a wait -- around 30-45 minutes to be seated and another 20 minutes for your food. But once you're seated, you'll understand why the wait is worth it. We shared a variety of dishes, including the steamed shumai, chive dumplings, assorted BBQ, General Tso's chicken, and eggplant with garlic. Each dish was flavorful and authentic, but the standout was the eggplant -- it was so delicious that I'd love to get the recipe and make it at home. Our server was friendly, and the rest of the staff kept things running smoothly by efficiently clearing away empty dishes. The restaurant's atmosphere was clean and had an elegant dim sum vibe. A heads-up for those coming straight from the pool or heading to the club afterward: you'll need to be fully clothed to dine here. And just a suggestion, bring a jacket -- it tends to get a little chilly

Annual CES CONFERENCE with my husband. We had dinner at Red 8 on Tuesday. We loved it so much we decided to have dinner our last night here. Hostess Lina was so nice and so sweet, we got our table in less than 10 minutes. She was very professional and very friendly. Our waitress was very friendly, polite and all the staff was very attentive and hardworking. Wei and Ray were very nice and helpful very attentive. This place is authentic Chinese food our friend was with us in Tuesday and she is Chinese and she says it's her favorite place in Vegas at the Wynn hotel. Excellent location, beautiful rooms, private areas to dining in his excellent ambience Enjoy the pictures and we'll be back

This restaurant doesn't take reservations online or via open table. My friend at the desk was able to make a call to the restaurant and add us to the wait list or what ever passes for "we're expecting you". Anyway, we were seated in a very nice half booth, I found the chair uncomfortable (too narrow for my frame lol).Ray was our server initially, then Michael took over and when we had some questions regarding the bill, we spoke to Puma, everyone was pleasant and professional! The menu was pretty extensive and well ordered. Ordered some hargow and shumei as app's followed by some pork and preserved egg congee . We also ordered Dan Dan noodles and Cantonese crispy brisket. The hargow and shumei were served in the traditional bamboo steamer baskets and were tasty and served very hot . The congee was served in a large bowl with more than enough for multiple servings for two people. The texture of the congee was perfect, not too watery or too thick. The presentation of the Dan Dan noodles was spot on and it was also a large portion. The crispy brisket was "different" it almost looked way past well done and burnt, but the beef was tender .As we were finishing we were told dessert on the house was coming. Nice.... The first thing that came out were two steamer baskets, one with a mushroom dumpling and the other with a green steamed veggie hargow. We didn't order them, they apparently reached our table by mistake. Shortly afterward, the real dessert arrived, little fried bananas and coconut ice cream and Red 8 cheesecake. Both delicious. When it was time to settle the check, the desserts were added to the bill, but when I informed the server that they were on the house, they were removed. All in all a very good meal, well worth several more visits.

This is located in the Wynn hotel. It is gorgeous restaurant that does not take reservations. Arrive early to get a seat beause this is also not a big place.Food: ordered shumai and Singapore noodles. The shumai had so many textures, you get the soft shrimp purée then whole shrimp in the middle with fish eggs on top. It was a wonderful appetizer and would recommend to get these again. My friend ordered veggie egg rolls and they were crispy but I did not like the filling. The Singapore noodles were well prepared but very light on the curry flavor. I would recommend getting dumplings here.

This is a small restaurant located in the Wynn, so be prepared for long wait times during peak hours. Luckily, we arrived right when it opened and were seated immediately. The restaurant has a modern Chinese vibe and offers a good variety of Cantonese dishes. The waiters were attentive, and while the prices are on the higher side, that's expected for a restaurant in a luxury hotel. I really enjoyed the chef's special hot and sour noodles--they had the perfect amount of heat, which was perfect for someone like me who loves spicy food. The XLBs and spicy wontons were decent, though nothing particularly special. The BBQ platter was a highlight for me--it allowed me to try all the BBQ meats without having to over-order. The Hainan chicken was nice and tender, and the beef chow fun was very satisfying, with that distinct wok hei flavor.Overall, a solid dining experience, especially if you're looking for a more upscale take on Cantonese cuisine. Just be prepared for the wait and the prices!

One of our go-to places while at Wynn/Encore. Located just off the casino floor. Small, nicely decorated, casual atmosphere, red themed. There is usually always a wait for seating but they usually text us within 20 min of checking in. The service is always pleasant. We enjoy all the vegan options + the Chinese lettuce with preserved tofu (get a bowl of rice to go along with this dish) - it's such a unique dish and server told us spot one time and we absolutely crave it now, I encourage you to try it!We find it pricey so -1 for prices and the fact that one pot of tea is charged at $5 per person versus per pot.
