I have my wonderful Yelp friend, Renee N., to thank for sharing this lovely and delicious small business with me. Being a fan of donuts, I was very excited to give Poppy's Donuts a try. Even arriving in the last hour before their closing, there was a great selection of donuts and pastries. I also received the friendliest customer service from the wonderful Summer.I am a sucker for donut classics, and let me tell you, it's been difficult to find French crullers, chocolate frosted chocolate cake donuts with nuts, and a favorite of the hubby's, blueberry cake donuts. Well, hallelujah Poppy's has them and they are DELICIOUS! To quote the hubby, "That's a top notch blueberry, right there!" Poppy's Donuts has absolutely nailed the texture of cake donuts.Poppy's also carries ham and cheese crossaints and kolaches! Like many donut shops, arrive earlier for the best selection. I am so happy to now know another excellent (and classic) donut shop to visit in Vegas. (Thanks for the recommendation, Renee!)

Who doesn't love donuts? Something about a good donut shop always makes me excited and I was happy to find this one. I went in at around 10 AM and there were a few people in there as well so this place getting busy. Upon walking in, I wasn't immediately greeted, but that's OK. They have a pretty standard selection of donuts which include raised, cakes, and croissant style. A standard donut is $2 and a specialty is $3.50. Pricing isn't bad but also not great.I will say the two donuts that I got were pretty fresh. I was very satisfied with the sprinkle cake doughnut. The blueberry was good, but not the best blueberry donut I've had. The service was pretty standard and nothing extraordinary. The girl had just asked me what I wanted and she backed it up for me and that was that. Hey do you also have a good variety of coffee and it didn't look too bad, but I did not end up getting anything. The inside is clean and there are a few tables available to sit. This is located in a smaller shopping center, but there is plenty of parking available. If I do come to the side of town, I'd probably pop back in and get me a donut. My review is as follows: - Food: 4.5/5- Service: 2.5/5- Ambiance: 5/5

Meh. The female EMO cashier is unhelpful, grouchy and seems to not want to be there. Maybe because her son is in the 'kitchen' area watching TV? When customer service is a big focus these days you should really step it up. If everyone knows you hate your job and/or life it is time for a career change. We walked in and the line is a hot mess. You have to walk in front of paying customers to get food. This is a bad setup and irritates people because they think you are cutting in line. The place was dead quiet. You know how most nice doughnut shops have chill music or hipster music? NOT HERE. Just chilling dead silence. We bought 4 doughnuts because they were really hyped up in reviews. They were noting special. Regular, plain doughnuts. Not fresh. Not stale. They weren't greasy so I gave one star. The flavors weren't good or bad. Everything was just kinda ok. Not memorable and not worth the price and def not worth coming back. The bathroom is a bummer. You need a code. The rude lady will yell it to you. It is right in the center of the dining area which again is super quiet. Uncomfortable. And she pays no attention to who is in the shop so she very well may give the code to several guests at a time. Not great when there's no lock and you can be busted in by anyone who gets the code! Lame.Final note. Someone came in with a 'Pink Box' mug. The cashier gave him a berating in front of everyone in the shop. How rude! That made me realize that this PINK BOX must be the place to go for good doughnuts!!! Note taken rude cashier - we are off to Pink Box next time and thanks for the tip..... ;)

I'm shocked that I haven't left a review.Started coming here over 2 years ago and I've tried a lot of other donut places in town since then. Poppy's is still the undisputed donut champion of Las Vegas. The best flavors, friendliest staff. Tanya the owner is engaging and an excellent conversationalist.

This review is long overdue! I been coming to poppy's for over a year now and they consistently serve thee best donuts in town! It wasn't until I had eaten donuts that I had leftover from the day before that I realized just how good their donuts really are! They are some of the best moistest donuts! The girls working the counter are always pleasant. The young lady today was patient with my 2 kids being indecisive and picking different donuts. I just overall love everything about this place! Anytime I'm even in the vicinity I will stop in to grab donuts.

I was a huge fan of the old shop, Real Donuts, and was sad to see there was a new place that took over. Decided to still give it a try. Most of the donut places in town are all fancy donuts now but it's nice to see this place still focuses on the classics. Sweet level was good but the donuts tends to be on the doughier side which I'm not a fan of. I enjoyed the cake with sprinkles. I would say that it's similar to Randy's.The location is far from where I live so I don't think it would be worth the trek for me to get here but I would give it a try if you're in the area.

Wow! It's been 10 years since I updated this review. Really nothing has changed in terms of how I feel about this donut shop. Still my favorite in the city. The good news is that they have expanded into a much larger space and now provide seating to sit and enjoy your donuts and drinks. They also offer some cute merchandise for purchase and they have added some additional treats like kolaches. I love this polish version of a hotdog! So tasty with some mustard and served warm of course.A couple of weeks ago they hosted a fun Father's Day event where you could come in to purchase a dozen donuts for the price of a half dozen donuts. We made sure to get in on this great offer.Whenever I find myself in the area, I gotta stop here and get my donut fix!Long live Poppy's Donuts!

I'm just a simple man who occasionally enjoys some fluffy donuts, and Poppy's Donuts does just that. I've been to Poppy's Donuts on a few occasions and have enjoyed every single donut I've eaten. I took my wife here a few weeks back on a Sunday morning and ordered a chocolate frosted donut and a glaze donut and both of them were exactly what I wanted. The donuts here are on the thick side but not in an overly cakey way, they are light, easy to eat, and just really tasty.Overall, Poppy's Donuts is a simple, but delicious donut shop that will treat you well. The food is good, the people are friendly, and the service is fast. What more could you want out of a neighborhood donut shop?
