I stayed at the Plaza Hotel during Valentines day/Presidents day weekend and I would say I enjoyed my stay! We received Champagne bottles as a welcome gift. We're so grateful for that!Pros:- Casino game odds are pretty good here. The bubble crap machine is the only one I found in all of downtown that does $1 minimum bet.- If you're a table craps player I've seen the minimum get as low as $10 and as high as $25. Usually in the daytime and weekday it's cheaper but if you're here on the weekend it'll be higher.- $20 daily credit for food.- Decent variety of food to satisfy every craving. They have a pink box donuts, pizza place, and cafe just to name a few.- Right at the end of downtown so it's super easy to just walk across the street and be in fremont street. ABC store is right there if you need anything.Cons:- The casino doesn't smell of smoke too much but it has a funky food smell, which you can really smell when you enter the casino but you kind of get used to it. I just don't like the initial smell.- Getting a parking spot in the garage is really hard. Sometimes you'll need to camp out and follow someone who is leaving. There is a lot outside of the garage but I feel a lot safer parking in the garage.- Our room was big but the bathroom part of the room I did not like at all. The toilet and shower room was crammed. When you open the door it almost hits the toilet and it's so tight that even the bath rug will get pushed by the door if you try to open it.- The water pressure for the sink was low and i saw some white mold around the rim.- The bathtub had a hard time draining.- The lighting in the bathroom area was dark which sucks because thats the only mirror you can really use to get ready.- The only mirror to do makeup/get ready in the room was the bathroom. I wish there was some vanity desk where you could sit down.- We stayed in a room in the older tower, it didn't feel super clean because the sofa had some stains but it also didn't feel dirty. It was ok.I give the Plaza a 3.5 round up to 4 because for the value and location it's great. If I had the chance I would stay here again but maybe in the newer tower. If you're coming to check out the casino I would say the bubble craps are nice but my boyfriend and I preferred to go to the other downtown casinos to play at the tables.

Requested King bed...had two queens...unacceptable for two tall individuals. Allegedly no king available. Housekeeping upon prior day request...short cut obviously to retain revenue. Our refuse piled up in two small trash cans.Serious effort needed to abate smoke from lobby/registration area for the non-smokers.The sink had a foul odor when the water ran while brushing teeth or washing hands.I wouldn't recommend this location.

This is only for the casino/public areas of the Plaza. We didn't stay at the hotel. We're very frequent visitors to Vegas but have only stayed on the strip. I wanted to branch out and when MyVegas deals began covering the Plaza, I had a reason to visit. Curiosity abated. The Plaza isn't much like the strip resorts. It's old and feels sort of crotchety - the Plaza doesn't care what you think about it - and it shows. We immediately headed to get a Rewards card and they wouldn't even hear of Status Matching (I have top Status in 3 of the largest programs on the Strip but... OK whatever). There are no offers for new players. It's pretty clear they don't care if you are a Rewards member or not. It's been almost a week and I've yet to get a welcome email... believe me, any Strip resort would have sent that email before we even left the casino. But that's OK because I don't think we'll hurry back. They do have some more recent slots but not a huge selection. There is Brian Christopher's "Smoke Free" slot room but between the smug pics of Brian and the equally smug attendant who kept asking us if it didn't feel "so fresh" in there... we walked around and left. GIVE ME THE SMOKE any day. We drank at the Carousel bar, which was pretty and served some tasty cocktails, but why the hell can't you smoke when you're actually sitting OUTSIDE? It makes no sense. We had lunch at Pop Up Pizza, which is a pretty solid skip. And that was about all... there isn't much to see or do here. You can now get some free cocktail deals, some casual meal deals and a few other offers on MyVegas - so if you're just dying to play slots with Brian Christopher, maybe do that. We'll be on the Strip... SMOKIN!

Second time staying here, it was convenient because we had tickets to the Horror event that was being held there Room was big, clean outdated furniture The beds are ok not the most comfortable pillows are a little cheap. They don't have comfortable bedding it's a bit rough Tv worked, air conditioning worked Bathroom was okay Water pressure wasn't very strong Bathtub wouldn't hold water with the plug stopper Housekeeping was great very friendly brought clean towels and water This hotel is a good place to stay if you like "old Vegas" Super close walking to Fremont street Elevators inside are a bit scary lots of voices and very slow to open The elevators to the parking garage is absolutely scary it bounces before you get to your floor and takes awhile to open the doors didn't trust those ones

Back again! Love this hotel and love the staff even more. Everyone we've come in contact with has been super friendly and helpful. Our casino host Nicole is superb as always! Crystal helped us at the pool today and she was amazing. I ordered pizza at pop up pizza and the ladies there were awesome. We have a 2 queen bedroom suite with a king bedroom attached and it is so roomy and spacious. Love having the living area separate for the kids to have more room. Will absolutely be back!

The casino is quite smoky and the parking situation on the top floor of the garage is a little scary since there is no lighting. It could be a bit nerve wracking if a single woman has to park up there at night. They need to have this addressed.

Pros: We had a great view, the room was spacious, and there was a mini fridge included. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows.Cons: The ac unit was very loud and the room wasn't particularly clean, but that's to be expected in a Vegas hotel.I would definitely stay again if we are downtown.

Registration line was a little confusing because it's off to the side of the front desk but other than that it was great. Everyone was nice. Room and hotel lobby were very clean and maintained. The restaurants inside the hotel/casino were also nice.I also enjoyed the variety show at Mavericks. It was a truly amazing experience and I look forward to my next stay at The Plaza Las Vegas

Plaza Hotel and Casino is perfectly located at the end of the Fremont Street Experience. They have a great pizza place, taco place and subway for casual dining. And Oscar's Steakhouse for those fancier dinners. The best part is the Bingo hall. We love the Plaza!
