Great service, huge pizzas, and upbeat restaurant. We tried their chicken parmiagiana and cracker thin Chicagoland pizza. The chicken parmigiana was excellent but the pizza was sweet which was not to our liking. We asked the server what made it sweet and we were told that they drizzled honey on it. We did not see that in the menu so we were quite bummed. We don't like honey on our pizza. We hope that these details are written on the menu.Anyway, not too bad of an option at Downtown.

I visited Pizza Rock while exploring Fremont Street, and it was a pretty good experience overall. The restaurant was clean, and we were seated quickly, even though there were a decent number of customers. However, the service could have been better. We placed our order, and then I wanted to add another appetizer, but it took the server a long time to come to our table. By the time I got her attention, our pizza was already ready. It was a similar situation when I needed water, and I struggled to get our server's attention again. For appetizers, we tried the zucchini fries and the salumi board. The zucchini fries were tasty, but unfortunately, there was a piece of hair in the side sauce, which was pretty off-putting. The salumi board, which was $19, didn't really feel worth it; the portion didn't match the price, and it wasn't anything special. On the plus side, the pizza was fantastic! We had the thin-crust Chicagoland, and it was delicious -- flavorful and the perfect size for three people to share. I also tried their Michelada, which was decent but nothing special.

Excellent pizza. Tony makes the best and the menu has expanded over the years. They sell slices too. It's a short walk from the Fremont street so definitely go if you're in that area and want pizza. They make most in the wood fired oven.

Was just grabbing a quick slice but look at these beauties. A great pie that was packed with flavor that took me off guard one Friday morning. I've been to one in green valley too and was also great. Tons of options to choose from. Every variation for every person. Slice was also enormous. Definitely bang for your buck. I ordered by the slice in the front and ate outside. Whole experience was pleasant. Worth checking out for sure

Tony Gemignani is the chef and owner of nearly 30 restaurants in Northern California and Las Vegas and I been to the ones in San Francisco. I remember seeing Tony in his younger days spinning pizza dough at the North Beach festival and Ghiradella square in front of large crowds. He surely had life long talent at such a young age and to see him create all these masterpieces of pizza is amazing. Only in Vegas there is happy hour special and you better believe that I will take advantage of that! Pizza Rock is so different from his classy North beach sit down restaurant as this place has a nightlife energy feel and sports bar in the back. You can also order takeout in the front as well. If you are lucky enough to snag a social fancy booth with chandeliers that would be perfect for date night! I sat in back by the bar to get a nice layout of the restaurant. For the happy hour I want to get again his Gold award winning Cal Italia which has sweet fig preserves, balsamic reduction, Asiago, mozzarella, Gorgonzola, prosciutto and parmigiana-Reggiano.personal pizza. With my first bite, yup, same consistency equal to San Francisco. That's how you know a restaurant is good if it tastes just like the original. I have always known about his Pizza Rock place but never came until now during Thanksgiving week 2024. Maybe it was because of the 2nd year of F1 racing, but the restaurant wasn't too full, so I was just chilling by the bar. The bartender didn't interact with me that much, but that was ok, I was here for the pizza, not the bartender. lol I enjoyed this casual vibe here. When you first enter, there's a takeout section on the right. The hostesses said for happy hour, just sit at the bar section. I guess they were more interested just hanging at the hostess stand than lead me to the back where the bar was. Between the hostess and bar was the restaurant with tables. There were people already eating and chatting with each other. This place is right about a block or two away outside the Fremont Experience canopy. It's right next door to the Grand Hotel. So if you are a fan of Tony and his North Beach restaurants, then come on out to take advantage of the happy hour which is a great deal!

Best pizza I've ever had.The pepperoni was crispy and flavorful. Its a deep dish pizza so the dough was super thick. It is a bit more oily than the pizzas I've had. This slice was $9.75 with tax but it was worth every penny. Definitely check this place out if you like pizza

It's been a while since I've been here and it was as great as I remember! Service is spectacular, everyone is friendly and attentive. Restaurants has a vibrant vibe and there is a full bar area with TV's playing sports. The Calamari is tasty and a good portion size. You can get it Traditional or Calabrese Style which is a little spicy. Our server suggested we get half of both styles and we enjoyed both. We got the Diavola Pizza. It's a perfect combination with the Soppressata, Hot Pepper Oil, Parmesan, and Arugula. Definitely an amazing meal.

We walked in on New Year's Day for a late lunch and waited ~20min for a table. There were quite a few patrons ordering slices in the to-go line at the time as well! We were excited to discover we arrived during their happy hour time frame and ordered a cocktail and beer. However, we later discovered upon paying that they don't offer happy hour on New Year's Day. We would have appreciated a heads up about this. The food menu is vast, featuring various types of pizza including Classic American, Classic Italian, Detroit, Sicilian Style, etc. My partner and I opted to share the Motorhead Detroit pizza, and my GOODNESS it was delectable and worth the 25min wait. It arrived in a steel pan, generously topped with meats (pepperoni, applewood smoked bacon, sausage, salami) and complemented nicely by mushrooms, ricotta (yum), and bail. We happily enjoyed leftovers as a snack the next day.

This place was so surprisingly good. So many different types of pizza that I didn't think any would be that good, but we got the Chicago thin crust and it was fantastic! The house salad with ranch was the perfect addition. Service was quick and effective. It was busy but they made space for us. I would go back next time I'm in Vegas. Whatever type of pizza you like they have it and it's good.
