Palms Race & Sports Book

As of now Palms is open again. If you're going to Vegas know this before going. Palms was one of the few hotels that still wasn't reopened yet. Ownership had been very vague about it. There's a sports book that's been reopened too and it's not a bad place to come bet and watch a few sports.Casino itself is just okay, but one of the great things about it is the sports book. It was cleaned up a bit too, and is much better now. This is now a lounge style instead of the more common stadium style. Better place to hang out. Lots of TVs. Close to a bar. This place has most of the sports action and you can bet on almost anything happening, plus get drinks and food.Good sports book. It's much better than the previous one. There's a pretty good bar close to here so watch sports here or there.

So the wife and I got free buffets, which are great at Palms.... but the Horrible Sports Book? Not so much.I asked very nicely - THREE TIMES - to put the hometown Golden Knights on. Lots of screens. NONE w the hometown Knights. Yet they put up women's volleyball, Jack Hanna's wild kingdom, and Clemson-TCU basketball? These people are deranged.

I really like the new and improved Sportsbook it's one of the most comfortable seating in town it does t seat a lot of people but the seats aren't right next to each other plus lots of couches for groups. The TVs age big and clear the nice feature is the restroom is in the sports book. William Hill runs the book

This is one of the best sports books off the Strip. It's got a lot of tvs, plenty of employees booking bets and a bar is conveniently located adjacent to the sports book with plenty more tvs

Stopped in to bet a few horse races since I had an hour before my movie started. Asked for a racing form and the harness books. They tell me they don't even carry the racing from. Then they tell me they don't have most of the harness books and need to print them. I waited 15 minutes, and they told me the supervisor was busy signing up a mobile account. Finally just left. Obviously they don't give a shit about race players.

STOP THE SMOKINGPrevious owners had stadium seating and a No Smoking policy.New owners now re instituted SMOKING. Big mistake. Great screens but the vibe and experience is killed by all the smoke. 90% of people don't smoke.. why cater to the few that ruin the experience for majority

The bartender that served me was Greg and he was very attentive as well as very knowledgeable about the beer. He poured the "perfect local stout for me" which was very interesting and cool. This bar was very laid back and cool I would definitely come back.!P.S he even asked what kind of beer I drink to recommend a certain beer. Amazing bartender.

Overall great time...The book had its issues but worked to rectify them. Great screens and attentive staff...

The new layout of the Sports Book at Palms is amazing! They went to a lounge style vs the cluttered rows like before and it is an awesome spot to hang out. The amount of huge, great picture TV's make it a perfect spot to spend a football Sunday. It is very clean and the bar right behind it makes good drinks and quick! They also have live entertainment which creates a good vibe. Check it out next time you're in Vegas!
