Mr. Tofu! This Korean restaurant is a place I often go to. They serve 15 kinds of side dishes, and they are clean and not salty, so they suit my taste. The cold noodles and soft tofu are also good. The galbijjim was made with real galbi and was really delicious. The spicy seafood jjambbongtang was also good for hangovers, and there was enough squid, seafood, and noodles, so it was enough for two people. The seafood pancake made with a generous amount of green onions and seafood was also good because it had less flour and was surprisingly delicious. The bulgogi and chicken bbq were equally portioned and delicious. And even though they must be busy preparing 15 side dishes for each table of guests, they are always kind. I am happy and thankful that there is a Korean restaurant like this in Las Vegas that serves consistently delicious food and does business honestly.

I'm surprised this place isn't as busy. A friend wanted to grab lunch here. Let me start off by saying - the bancchans were enough for a meal itself! I think there were 15 sides. Portions of the food were big enough for 2 people to share. Flavors were amazing!! Service was really great too! The servers always checked up on us to make sure we were ok. I definitely want to come back again.

Brief Summary:- 15 mini plates of banchan is the highlight of the table- Entered hungry, left pretty fullWhen we were looking for a place to eat, we were attracted to this spot because of the photos. In most of them were plates upon plates of banchan dishes. This compelled us to try the restaurant out.We visited when it opened and was seated inside near the windows. My rule of eating at restaurants with lots of banchan, is that we order one dish fewer than the total amount of people, otherwise, you will feel too stuffed to enjoy the banchan dishes. When we ordered in this style, the staff notified us that the banchan amount will be served with the ratio matching the main dish count, and we replied that that was fine. This was a good decision because it filled us up to "more than content" level.I'm not sure if any dish will come with the 15 banchan, but that might be the case. Observing other guests eating here, they also had 15 banchans. For our case, because I ordered the tofu soup, the banchan increased to 2 more: the egg and a fried fish. We're still in speculation, but it was probably the fried fish that was on the salty side. I usually don't eat a lot of rice, but because the flavor was so condensed, I was taking a bite of some rice to balance it out.Overall, I had an enjoyable experience eating here.

We came in on a Friday night and were seated right away, despite it being busy. My friend mentioned that this place makes their tofu in-house, which is a nice touch. One of the highlights here is the banchan, with a variety of sides to try.My favorite banchan was the eggplant - it had a great meaty texture and savory seasoning. I've never been a fan of eggplant, but this was a complete game-changer in the way I look at eggplant now. They also had some unique banchan that I don't usually see at Korean restaurants, like seasoned acorn jelly, kelp salad, and soy-braised peanuts. I really enjoyed trying these for the first time--they were flavorful and well-seasoned. As for the classics like kimchi, spicy cucumber, spinach, and fish cake, I thought they were just okay compared to other places. All the soondubu soups are priced the same, and they offer a variety of protein options. I went with the beef soondubu, which had small chunks of beef that were perfectly salted and paired nicely with the simple broth and sides. They also serve rice, a fried fish, and eggs on the side, making it a filling and satisfying meal for the price. You definitely won't leave hungry! The only downside was that while they heavily promote the unlimited sides, I noticed that after our second round of ordering banchan, they started giving us way smaller portions, even though we had finished everything before ordering more. Overall, the food was satisfying and a great value for the price, and despite the smaller portions of sides after 2 rounds, it's still worth visiting for the variety and quality of the main dishes.

Come for the banchan, stay for the banchan! The array is just stunning and the flavors are just as good. We can't handle serious Korean spicy, so we were delighted to find that even the hottest choices on the table were only medium. I love a nice crunchy cucumber kimchi with reasonable red pepper, and this was one I could actually eat. The sweet/spicy peanuts and the fish cakes were other highlights. Honestly, the food we ordered was almost beside the point. Give me a bowl of rice and a banchan buffet like that, and I'm good to go. But the oyster soondobu and kalbi were tasty, too, with plenty of oysters in the stew. I have not had such a crispy seafood pancake before, but turns out I'm a fan of well-done pancake. The room is utilitarian and so is the service. Nothing fancy, just a fun meal.

I really love the soon tofu here. They offer a diverse selection of banchan, about 15 in total, and all of them were delicious. I went with my family yesterday around 5 PM, and there was no wait time, which I loved. We ordered the gopchang, seafood, and oyster soon tofu, which came with La galbi and bulgogi as part of a combo menu. I tried them, and everything was really delicious. It's the best soon tofu I've ever had, and the portion sizes were perfect. The service was great. They kept checking to see if we needed more banchan, and they were attentive and friendly. The ambiance was nice as well. I would definitely try more dishes here

Located on Spring Mountain Road in Las Vegas. Place is nice and clean. Staff friendly.I usually order combination seafood tofu soup and galbi, but last night had the oyster tofu soup and yangnyeom-gejang (marinated raw crab). They were both delicious. Ordered the soup medium-spiced but I wished I had it a little bit more spicy. Soup had tons of tofu and oysters, plus the raw egg placed in the soup gave it a better taste. The crabs were delicious and seasoned well. The meal came with unlimited 15 side dishes, all of them delicious. Also came with fried fish, just be careful, fish bones...Been coming here regularly and always liked the food. The menu is extensive, and the prices were reasonable in my opinion. All the food I had totaled less than $33.00. I saw some things on the menu that I will definitely try.So I recommend you visit them if you're in town.

I've seen a lot of negative reviews about Mr. Tofu, mostly about rude service and stinginess with the free side dishes (banchan). It made me hesitant to even visit this place but after my visit, I will say that my review will probably ruffle a few feathers. This review is based on my experience and having empathy for the other side of the table which may or may not be true.Let's be real--yes, the service can be blunt, but if you've been to enough Korean restaurants, you know that's not unusual. For me, what matters for this type of restaurant is that the real conversation should be about the quality of the food, and on that front, Mr. Tofu delivers big time.Their banchan selection is one of the best I've ever seen, and I say that as someone who has lived in LA and eaten at all the spots in Koreatown and other top-tier Korean spots. The variety, freshness, and portion sizes were outstanding. This isn't a place that skimps on quality and variety, and honestly, it's rare to find such an extensive spread anywhere. They had a spread of maybe 15+ side dishes which is not common for most Korean restaurants with most of them being universally loved and more uncommon at Korean restaurants nowadays (eg: fish cakes, cuttlefish, acorn jelly) and not necessarily just the cheap stuff. When my family and I dined here, we did what we normally do at a restaurant--we each ordered our own dish. And surprise, surprise: the servers offered us refills on banchan twice without us even asking. That just reaffirmed my belief that they aren't being stingy; they're just enforcing a basic expectation that customers should be ordering enough food which is also probably part of the Korean eating culture of mutual understanding and respect. That's why I understand why the restaurant might be strict about refills when people are splitting a single dish. Banchan is complimentary, but it's part of a mutual understanding--customers aren't just here to eat free side dishes, and the restaurant provides them as an investment in the overall experience. If you're only ordering one entrée to split between multiple people but still expect unlimited refills, I can see why that would frustrate the staff. If you're not that hungry, why do you need multiple rounds of side dishes?I'm not saying every complaint is unwarranted, but let's be honest--I'm not saying everybody but some folks do come in trying to game the system. That behavior doesn't just hurt the restaurant; it impacts those of us who genuinely appreciate what they offer and want to see them stick around.Bottom line: If you go to Mr. Tofu with a reasonable mindset, order properly, and respect the dining experience, you'll have an amazing meal. The food is very good/well priced and the banchan is some of the best you'll find anywhere. I'll be back--and I hope this place thrives for years to come.
