A limited run production of a so so male revue show. The guys were nice to look at, could dance and the drinks were reasonably priced- all of which you can get at any male revue show. With that said, the production wasn't as good or even up to par of the other shows in Vegas. I thought they would bring something different to the arena of male revues, but this was not the case. I'm not even asking for something new, just something different. Instead the lights were in our eyes, the production lacked flow, energy and sensuality and nothing by Taylor Swift, Kesha or Mylie Cyrus are stripper material. Not sure who thought men stripping to pop songs was a good idea but it was not. The emcee was the most irritating part of the show- from start to finish. I wanted to just leave about half way through because he kept talking over the music as if we were all at a party telling the girls to get their dollar bills out and scream louder. Not sure what the premise of the show was but I didn't know tipping the guys real money was part of the act. They'd have to be a bit hotter or sexual to tip them anything.I've honestly experienced better.

I had heard of the show quite a bit before attending it; they had some kind of documentary and a tour and were at the Trop for awhile, I believe. My expectations, therefore, were pretty high when I saw this production. The venue was surprisingly nice although a bit of a pain to park and walk to on the strip (and $10 to park in the closest garage). It was held on its own floor of the Hard Rock cafe with a big open balcony overlooking the strip and a nice wide bar with plenty of seating. Unfortunately, the venue was the only thing impressive about this production. Firstly, this thing was LOUD. No exaggeration, I lost my hearing in my left ear for a full 24 hours after seeing this show, and I was sitting further away from the stage at the bar. The MC was terrible: annoying and I could barely understand what he was saying half the time (though that could have been because I had already begun to go deaf). The show consists of various clips of the documentary they filmed a few years ago projected on a screen on stage, numerous cameos by Jeff Timmons from 98 degrees (the owner of the show) singing songs I had never heard from the band, an awkward off-key song and dance routine of popular songs from the past 60 years by the strippers, and mayyyybe 4 strip dances by the men themselves that weren't even erotic. To make this painfully honest review short: I cringed more during this hour-ish long show than I ever had before in my life. And I went deaf. Save yourself the time, money, and hearing loss and see Aussie Hunks.

I think this was one of the worst shows I've seen to date. First off, the show started 30 minutes late. Then, while we were trying to get seated, we were put on notice not once, twice, or even three times, but 6 times before the show even started to get our money out, "Wave it high!! The men wanna see that money and they'll come to you!!" Just tacky. What's worse? The production quality. The lights were in our eyes for a good 10 minutes at the beginning, the music was too loud for the small room we were crammed in, and the choreography was nothing short of a joke. My three year old nephew has better moves than these guys. Did I mention the bad singing? Oh, let's discuss that point next. I get it, Jeff Timmons. In an effort to remain relevant in this ever-changing entertainment world, but not like this...oh.. not like this. He sang 2 sets during the show, to which I began questioning whether I got tickets to a really bad boy band performance show or a male revue. I honestly wasn't quite sure at this point...especially when the dancers themselves started breaking into different sets of music-- one of them being the Jackson 5. This is precisely when I dropped the mic (well, more like I got up and left). My jaw dropped as all 5 dancers donned afro wigs and danced around and sang as if they were members of the Jackson 5. Not only were they bad, it just seemed in bad taste and teemed of racial misappropriation. Did I mention the DJ?? The way he loved to hear himself talk and even introduced one of the black dancers by rudely shouting, "Who in here has jungle fever?!?" Like, what the hell, dude. There's women and men of all races in here, and you're still stuck in the 90's? If I had to use 3 words to describe the show: TACKY, AWFUL, and DISORGANIZED. I couldn't believe Hard Rock would even allow themselves to be affiliated with that show. Just SMH. A hot mess. Do better.

Men of the Strip is an all-out, sexy fun party. The guys are handsome, sexy, approachable and just the right amount of silly. Loved the choreography, choice of songs and costumes. Plus there's Jeff Timmons, one of the sexiest men on Planet Earth, singing as he strolls through the audience and ripping off his shirt.....wow! Like any new production, this two-week run of preview performances determines what works with audiences and items that could be added/subtracted/improved. If you're expecting a polished production like Chippendales, with three decades and thousands of performances under their bow ties, you've come to the wrong show. Men of the Strip is crazy, relentless, raw and no-holds-barred. I loved that the guys hop up on the bar after the show and hang around for photos and conversation while still shirtless and sweaty. Bonus points galore for including men in the audience and onstage. Attended last Thursday and the guy who was brought up for a chair dance brought down the house!
