Memaw’s Gumbo

I am so glad I ordered from Memaw's! The food was still hot and crispy when it arrived which was a huge plus. My order was a catfish nugget combo with a side of dirty rice and red beans and rice (you can choose from a list of sides). The catfish was well battered and the catfish to batter ratio was pretty good too. You get way more nuggets than i anticipated and the meal is easily a two-day endeavor. The batter is so good I was eating the crumbs from the box. Very fresh and flavorful as well as the fish. Delicious! The sides made me roll my eyes (the good way) because WOW. The dirty rice was very well seasoned and dressed and the red beans and rice packed so much flavor. I loved both. THAT is good rice. Last note: it was not soggy or mushy at all. 10/10 would definitely recommend!!

Catfish was very soft to eat seasoned just right. The sauce was amazing garlic sauce especially. My first time having sweet potato cornbread and it was moist tasty and the butter sauce chefs kiss. About that chocolate cake lord baby Jesus that was the best cake I ever had. Thank you guys for a great eating experience.

"Memaws Gumbo!"... I just think it's fun as say :) ...... I've visited Memaws's several times to pick up my to go orders. Although the visitors were brief, the customer service for the short time I was there was really good. Speaking of good that's exactly what I would say about all of the food that I've ordered. Whether it's the catfish po' boy and fries or the gumbo with a side of hush puppies. I look forward to trying their salmon as well as their shrimp and grits, which look amazing. Although I've been rather busy as of late because let's face it life sometimes just be life'n. I feel I really need to make the time to stop by and have a proper dine in experience with quite possibly a rather large group of my good peoples. And just enjoy some good food while also showing support to this fine local eatery....... Can't wait.

I recently discovered Memaw's Gumbo through DoorDash, and it was an absolute treat! The food arrived warm, well-packaged, and bursting with flavor. The catfish was perfectly fried, and the shrimp and grits were rich and satisfying. The watermelon lemonade was a refreshing complement to the meal.The sides were just as impressive--the red beans, dirty rice, and sweet potato cornbread had a delightful balance of flavors, and the mac n cheese was creamy and comforting. To top it all off, I received a $5 off coupon for my next order when I spend $50--a great incentive to indulge again soon! Memaw's Gumbo is a hidden gem in Las Vegas, offering authentic Southern flavors that will keep me coming back for more!

THE BEST GUMBO IN LAS VEGAS! I lived in southeast Texas for a couple years and I was taught how to make gumbo and I ate a lot of it. This is Louisiana gumbo! It has the smokiness, the sausage, chicken and I added grilled shrimp. Yum! I wanted to try as much as I could. I ordered the hush puppies, earls chicken wings, sweet potato cornbread, and dirty rice. Also had the banana pudding, delicious and homemade! Everything was amazing. The dirty rice and gumbo were my favorite! So much flavor! The young women helping was amazing! They have a kiosk to order but she took my order. Beautiful pictures on the wall too. I don't know why this place was empty at dinner time. Come here! The prices are great too!

It's horrible not to have proper hours of operation. Very sad for this business because from what I gather it has potential. It seems as if they go to work when they feel like it. Very bad for a business.

I have no words, a friend and I wanted soul food. So we drive there, almost couldn't find the place because the signage is only in the window not on the bldg. Nor is it on the strip mall marquee! Then you walk in and it's an empty room with tables and a kiosk. A young lady came out and told us we would have to order from the kiosk and they only had 4 entrees and a few sides! So that defeated the whole purpose as to why we came, for the things on the menu...that they didn't have!I did call prior to arriving, got a voicemail. So it was just an odd experience and we decided to eat elsewhere, wanted to share the info!

Wanting to try this place. Times are incorrect on Yelp and Apple Maps; unfortunately the second time I came (first time I came is when I noticed the time is listed wrong, so came back during the time listed on the door) - unfortunately they were having issues with their system and only taking cash at the time, which I did not have any on me. Staff was very friendly and helpful in the time I was there, unfortunately did not get to try any of the food, but planning on coming back in October and will be making another attempt at that time

This place is absolutely a hidden gem. Located in paradise valley, tucked in the back of a plaza just off of East Warm Springs road. I happened to see their sign so I decided to give it a try. You order from a kiosk but an employee will walk you through the order step by step and give you some recommendations. I decided to order the shrimp and grits w/ extra shrimp. I don't regret that decision one bit. Every single bite was full of flavor and the perfect amount of spice. The added sausage was a delightful surprise and a the perfect addition to this classic southern dish. The melted cheese really set it off. A definite must try and I'll surely be back again.

Finally got a chance to try this place. We walked in and were greeted by the nicest lady. She explained how to order at the touch screen kiosk and answered any questions we had. She was so helpful and just a sweet disposition. Very welcoming. We decided on to go even tho they have a small establishment for dine in. It's clean, but not really inviting. They definitely do a lot of take out. On to the food. We ordered the catfish platter with grits and mac and cheese. The catfish was good, a little salty for me but still flavorful. Their tartar sauce was delicious but you will pay extra for any sauces. The grits were bland and needed a little pick me up at home. The mac and cheese was good. We also ordered a shrimp platter with rice and mac and cheese. The shrimp was delicious and the rice was bland also. Hush puppies are a must. I loved them. And we topped it off with a banana pudding. That was just ok. It was more whipped cream tasting than banana. I'd definitely like to come back and try some other things.
