Linme's Gourmet Soul Food and Catering

New to the area and decided to give this place a chance. Food is tasty but very small portions for the price. I ordered the catfish sandwich l, cabbage and potato salad. My one piece of fish didn't even cover the slice of bread.

This was absolutely the worst order I have ever received! I ordered a fried pork chop that was so fried that it was actually hard! The sides of mashed potatoes and gravy, and fried cabbage. The cabbage was burnt so bad that you could smell the char and the mashed potatoes had so much salt in them that if I didn't have high blood pressure before, I certainly do now. I myself will not be ordering anything from them again and I will not give it a recommend!

Do not waste your time or your money. I hate to be negative but... there wasn't a lot to be happy about. Over priced, food was underwhelming, portions were so so tiny. I ordered fried chicken with Mac n cheese, blackened catfish with collard greens, mashed potatoes n gravy, yams, bbq chicken salad, fried cabbage, and corn. And a peach cobbler. The fried chicken was 6 chicken wings. For $20. The Mac n cheese was legit, it was tasty and seemed homemade. The portion was perfect for a toddler. The price was more that what you normally pay for a toddler. The catfish was tasty, the collard greens were so salty I couldn't eat a second bite. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good, the potatoes tasted like instant potatoes but they were fine. However for the price of the sides I thought the portions were more family style... or at least more than a half cup. The yams were alright, again tiny portions. Salad was fine cabbage was fine and the corn tasted like canned corn with HELLA butter and brown sugar. But what really ruined it for me was the peach cobbler. $10 for MAYBE a cup of peach looking stuff with some crust tucked into it. It tasted like vegetable oil. It was basically oily canned peaches and pillsbury crust. We were super disappointed and will not be going back.

I am all for people getting there hustle but this place is tidy. The owner ain't minding the shop. Ordered food through Uber and my driver got to a house that was empty. No one was home.

Last night I had ordered smothered chicken with rice, two sides of it and a peach cobbler, which was very overly priced and basically didn't get what I wanted because whoever owns this business does not know how to cook a meal ..When I got my bag of food I opened it, and it was basically fried overly cooked salty high cholesterol High blood pressure chicken wings that were disgusting. I also open the two sides that I had and it was mushy rice basically mixed with gravy that was not good at all. There was no pride... I feel highly disrespected because we work hard out here and we have businesses like this trying to scam their food!! no class no pride I don't care what celebrity ate at this place from my reviews on Facebook google or whatever you know Stevie Wonder is blind, but I'm not in my tastebuds is not! Now I'm understanding fully. This is a food truck and is non-hygienic as well or this is out of a house not a clean restaurant. I will be definitely reporting this to the Better Business Bureau because I don't like people that scam people out of their money. And I really think that they feel it OK to make food like this. It's not good at all. It's highly disrespectful and to our people that are really actually making good food out here, but I decided to go with this place last night and I should've read the reviews but I'm making a good bad review on this place, and it's zero stars!! so people please beware of places like this that's trying to make a dollar out of $.15 the people that have good reviews. I don't see how they have good reviews when this place is tasting the way it was I never in my life have ordered from a place that gave me oily peach cobbler maybe with dough that way I can put it in the oven and crisp it up but oil are you trying to kill people out here with a high cholesterol I would definitely boycott this business because this is disgusting! This is not hating it's real!

Horrible. Dry, overcooked catfish. Disgusting to say the least. Won't ever eat here again.

You definitely don't get fast food or rushed food experience. My food was still piping hot once I got home and finally sat down to eat it which was probably about 20-30 mins after I received it. I got the catfish meal with Mac and cheese, yams, and collard greens for my sides. The food definitely met the standards for the type of soul food I crave. The only thing I would say is the price is a little too high for the portions so I couldn't come back as often as I would like to but definitely could see myself coming here when I want to treat myself or I have some extra money. The food is so good I wish I could make it one of my regulars.

I ordered the smothered chicken with gravy and rice and as a person that cooked in their parents soul food restaurant in northern California everything was on point especially the gravy. My only negative comment was the price, what I received was four ultra small wings and drumsticks by the time it was delivered it was $42. Next time I will go pick it up and possibly have a better pricing experience.
