La Catrina Bar & Grill

We go here all the time, but never had their lunch specials...and let me tell you these were amazing ..enchiladas, rice, and beans and a drink and chips and salsa for under $20! You can't beat that in today's economy!!

Place was empty yet we could enter unless we spent $200 for a table. Over priced at best.

This place has favoritism. The security guard won't allow people inside once it has reached capacity. However when his friends or staff acquaintances show up, they get a free trip to the front of the line and then they are welcomed. (And it isn't a VIP table that they bought) How is it to "legal capacity" to us waiting in line and yet you let others in? I'm sure there will be a "logical" response to this post but maybe I need to report over capacity so that they actually keep things fair. We waiter for 20 mintues and it was at full capacity throughout yet when random nobody's showed up, they went in...As you can tell, I'm not upset because they were up to capacity.

The staff is very friendly, the music is good, and the drinks taste good especially the Mexican candy and the green tea shot. :)

This place is thrash honestly If I could give it a - 10 starts I would or less. My first experience I went out to have fun and the first time there when we got to the front door if you did not know the owner you are not getting in. Garbage place will never even cross my mind to go back not recommended at all might as well stay home and relax than go to this garbage place. THRASH

Sometimes you just go to a neighborhood bar to feel the vibe of the place. You're looking for a conversation and a good drink. Everything else is kind of beyond expectations. It's welcome, but not a must. Well my road dog and I walked into La Catrina on a Wednesday night around 9pm and at first were kind of surprised at how empty it was, but as we made our entrance the bartender made all the difference. He greeted us with a nod and a casual "it's happy hour..whatever you want I got you". That set the tone for the rest of the night and although my buddy was already asking to leave, the bartender, Martin started doing his magic. Plying his craft he wowed us with one cocktail masterpiece after another. Long story short, every cocktail came with a story, which is the stuff life is made of, stories! Anyway thank you Martin for being a master of your craft and making this trip to LA Catrina, ona a random Wednesday night, a memorable one.. If you read this to the end...just go and say hi to Martin. You can thank me later.

Came here for date night after a quick google search for a bar with tacos & was very disappointed service was TERRIBLE im a bartender myself & I couldn't believe the chaos of this place.. the atmosphere itself was very sketchy but we didn't let that stop our night at first we ordered shots to start and they poured us half shots in a communion sized glass it was laughable to say the least.. we thought hey maybe atleast the drinks will be cheap then.. came to find out they were still over 10$ a shot for a sample size cup the weirdest thing I've ever experienced we also ordered a margarita that only tasted of juice only so at this point we figured they were messing with us so we leftWhen we went to close out the tab our bill was 100$ which had there pre added gratuity which makes sense but only if your providing quality service We had no expectations and this completely sucked Go elsewhere..

Vanessa was great and loved her hospitality and she took real good car of us definitely gonna come back.

Great lounge vibe. Have an amazing time every time I stop by during the week and the weekends are always buzzing.

Great time from the time i got in, until i left! And i didnt want to leave! Great drinks. The guy named Danny was very welcoming. Great experience forsure.
