Went here on a recent trip to Vegas from NY. Had so many recommendations from people saying it was the best restaurant they've ever been to so we had high expectations. Reservation confirmation stressed their dress code so our part dressed "business casual" at a minimum upon entry we notice that the group of people ahead of us were dressed in sweats so it was evident the dress code is not enforced. The ambiance is cool and high end but attending on a Tuesday when the restaurant was pretty empty it was strange to be sat at a small table as a group of 4 when there were a lot of open larger tables and booths. We had very limited room for what we ordered. Our waitress had a bad attitude from the beginning not really sure what that was about but she wasn't very inviting by any means I don't think she even smiled once. The milk bread was good and the lobster crispy rice appetizer was really good. The other things we ordered were ok. The rainbow sushi roll was also very good. I wish I stopped there. I ordered the king crab lo mein as my entree and it was SO SALTY I felt like I was having a heart attack but because it was $80 I tried to consume the entirety. Everyone else in the group enjoyed their steaks and dumplings. I guess based on others experiences I just really had high expectations for a $1000 meal but I just wasn't that impressed and it's sad because I wanted to like it so bad, we were really looking forward to eating here. Worth a try but I wouldn't eat here again.

Had an incredible dining expereince at Komodo. The restaurant is stunning, the service was top notch, and the food was perfection! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an upscale resturant with laid back vibes.- We started with fresh sashimi recommended by our server. I cannot remember what type it was, but it was so fresh!- Chilean Sea Bass: FAVORITE DISH! It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was out of the world. I would get this dish every time. 10/10!- Maine Lobster Kamikaze: Loved this dish as well! Also cooked to perfection, tender, and a flavor bomb. Almost as good as the sea bass. - Spicy Prime Filet: A bit disappointed. It was cooked beautifully, but the flavor was lacking. I didn't get any spice or wasabi flavor as described. Still good, but I wouldn't recommend. - We finished with a dessert recommended by the server. It was like a moist, snickers cake. Very good.

My 5 girlfriends and I had heard from a friend's husband that Komodo was one of the best meals he's ever had in Vegas and we were excited to treat ourselves to it as part of our night out. We ordered the Peking duck, lobster Kamikaze (with caviar added), lobster dynamite, a variety of the dumplings, and more. First the positives, the ambiance of this place is beautiful, luxe, and lively (in a classy way) and the drinks were fantastic. I really enjoyed the lavender haze cocktail especially. Our waitress was also lovely and as attentive as she could be given how busy they were. And now, the "meh". I will preface by sharing that we are a group of ladies that don't mind throwing down for a memorable meal. (We enjoy our local Michelin star spots as well as traveling to try new fabulous restaurants. My husband and I once planned an entire Vegas trip around having dinner at e by Jose Andres in Vegas - which was fantastic by the way!) All that being said, admittedly we found the food pretty underwhelming for the cost and the hype. While the Peking duck was good, it was by no means the best Peking duck I've ever had. In fact, I would say it's very comparable to the great full Peking Duck you can find at Journey to the Dumpling in Sacramento for $40. (This is not a diss on the Komodo Peking duck - again it was good - but so is the Peking duck at Journey to the Dumpling in Sacramento and for nearly a quarter of the cost.)The lobster kamikaze with caviar was good (I would recommend it). The dumplings were solid but not something I would necessary rave about. Though I did very much enjoy the plating and presentation of them. The food came out quickly (which was appreciated) and they staggered it nicely. The drinks were quick at the bar (we got a round while waiting for our table) but extremely slow once we were at the table (towards the end of dinner, we actually asked if we could cancel the second round of drinks as it was taking so long and two of our friends needed to leave to go pump. While they didn't cancel them, the bartender did put the drinks in to-go cups which we appreciated.) Overall, it was a nice experience and I thought the service, especially given how slammed they were, was great. I just was hoping to be wowed a bit more by the food!

Interior of the restaurant is pretty. Servers are polite and food is quick.I liked the lettuce salad, Japanese milk bread, and sashimi. The fried eggplant was also good. I thought the wagyu dumplings were average and the Korean fried chicken was bad. It was dry and did not taste at all like Korean fried chicken.

10/10 recommend!!! The food is to die for! The sea bass melts in your mouth. The wagyu dumplings are amazing. We had a large group (15 ppl) and the fabulous fun server recommended we do the group tasting menu and it did not disappoint. The server was laughing with us and keeping everyone entertained and engaged and informed on all dishes that came to the table. The atmosphere was fun and up beat all night with a live DJ. Makes for great pictures with friends!

Komodo offers a lively - perhaps too lively - dining experience at Fontainebleau. My girlfriends and I dined here on a Friday night. The place wasn't very busy and the service is absolutely fantastic! While the Asian fusion cuisine shows promise, the premium Strip pricing makes it a little difficult to justify the overall experience. The standout dish was the crab lo mein, which delivered on both flavor and execution. Highly recommend it. If you're trying to get the best bang for your buck, the Kamikaze lobster will be your best option. And while it was good, it could've used more flavor (even after adding caviar). The cocktail program deserves praise, with well-crafted drinks complementing the menu nicely. We tried the Pikachu, Fortunes told, and the Lavender Haze (my favorite). The dessert menu truly shines, offering rich, decadent options that serve as a memorable finale to the meal. We had the banana Pagoda, 11/10!! The overwhelmingly loud music poses a significant drawback, making conversation challenging and detracting from what could otherwise be an enjoyable dining atmosphere. While the food is generally good, the Strip location comes with inflated prices that don't quite align with the quality of the experience. Consider visiting if you're craving Asian fusion and don't mind shouting across the table, but temper your expectations given the price point.

My boyfriend and I celebrated my advancement with my job for a dinner at Komoda last week. Be sure to give yourself cushion time when you arrive which is located at Fountain Bleu, second floor next to their food Hall, so it's a bit of a stroll since the property is spread open. As you walk in you will immediately be greeted by surrounding presence of moody red pillars of orchids. Live Dj that handled house music vibes, Trunk nature that hit the celling and red energy vibration through the interior. Menu was not mindboggling. Very easy to read!To start with my celebration my boyfriend and i toasted to Lucien Albrech, Crémant D' Alsace, Brut Rose from France. I loved it! not dry and very light bubbly. I would order this again and again! and for my second drink I ordered the Chardonnay Chablis from France. Loved it! you can tell that they don't do the cheap wine at this place. For appetizers we ordered Hamachi Serrano, Money Bag (pork, shrimp, tobiko, gold leaf), and Wagyu Beef. Lastly, we had to get the Japanese milk bread with miso butter on the side. So far what we tasted was just exquisite, flavorful and memorable since I had the wines. Entree we shared the Snake River Farms Szechuan NY strip medium well. For the Grand Finale for dessert we shared the Miso Ducey Lava Cake! I cut open up the cake and there was a suprise of a assemblage. So delicious this reminded me of a melted Reese's pieces by elevated with such elegance. Kudos to our server of the night -Nataly! She was great and friendly! A cherry on top!!!Everything was superb. As local I definitely want to come back here!!!

I loved the atmosphere of this establishment, to be frank, it is sexy! I will say that the apps didnt do it for me. The chicken salad for me had not taste, it was so bland to me that for a brief moment I thought I had covid and lost my sense of taste. The shishito peppers had the same affect for me, I began to lose hope. Then we pivoted to the mains and all hope was restored. The fried rice was great, I have a soy allergy so they made me an order without edamame. The dumplings were ok,, but the star of the night was the sea bass. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, and executed perfectly. If you order nothing else, get the sea bass.

Good but not the spectacular experience I was hoping for considering the price and location in the incredible Fontainebleau hotel. The place is gorgeously decorated. I'd say a combination of hip and romantic vibe going. Service was solid but nothing special which I feel should be a big part of the equation in a fine dining experience. Our server could have checked in more but perhaps he was stretched thin? Idk. The bus boys were en pointe clearing dishes and refilling water quickly. Food. Some good stuff. But that is kind of my point here. Good not spectacular, amazing, uncanny, mighty....you know...adjectives for Marvel Superheroes. We had the:Wagyu roll Brussels sproutsLobster dynamiteEggplant chipsWagyu dumplings Mushroom lo mein Good but is it concerning that our favorite dish was the eggplant chips? I just feel that I could have had these dishes at other places tbh.
