My husband and I have frequented this place for many years and became a regular of the waitress CiCi who was always absolutely wonderful. It had been a while since we had been there so we figured let's go have some dinner and see her, but upon our arrival we noticed that things were different. Of course we asked if she was working and they seemed annoyed by us asking, which I understand. I work in the service industry as well and I know how it is when people see you and ask for someone different but I also understand that people get used to their regular servers. I'm giving two stars because the service was very friendly and prompt. However, the food was completely different and not for the better. Pho tasted nothing like Pho and was all noodles with barely any broth and the fried rice completely lacked flavor. Very sad :(

This was probably my 3rd time eating at Kobe. From what I remembered it was good the previous times. Never reviewed them until now. As I walked in, the restaurant was empty when I arrived. So I was able to sit wherever I selected. After choosing my table the hostess/server provided the menu. After a few mins to look over the meal, she provided me with water and took my order. She was pleasant and attentive. I proceeded to order my normal sushi order of nigiri (pics below).Now for the food. From what I ordered, the Garlic Tuna came out first. And about 10 mins later the rest of order came. The issue that I had was rice to nigiri ratio. There was just too much rice. If they cut the rice down a tad, it wouldn't have been bad. And that would go for the nigiri pieces as well. I enjoyed the Garlic Nigiri which had great flavor with the sauce. Salmon and Tuna were solid. Again, just too much rice too much nigiri. But the Yellowtail wasn't cut properly. When I bit into one of the pieces, I got some bone. Not really expecting that. Otherwise it was a good.Overall Kobe is a decent place, a good location, and reasonable pricing. It was clean and staff is friendly. Didn't order as much but it did take time to get to me. A bit surprised it took long, considering at the time, it was only me in the restaurant. Can only imagine if it were busy, how long the order would have taken. Would I go back? Possibly but not anytime soon.

I'm a very frequent regular here. Cici is always wonderful. I tried to call to place my order and for an hour nobody answered. I only live a few minutes away and I decided to drive over and see if something happened. Unfortunately they are permanently closed! There was a new neon sign in the window that said ramen and pho. This place had really improved over the last few years, and they made it through the closure too. I don't know why they closed, they're in a super busy plaza, food has been very good. Service is great. They were definitely doing business. So I think this was something owner related. Once they reopen as the new business I will try to find out if it's the same owners and if they're going to still offer any type of sushi. There was no sign on the door mentioning anything unfortunately.

This has been our favorite spot for years and it was recently taken over by new management, remodeled and the menu reworked. We were pleased at the changes but miss our favorite server, CiCi as she's no longer there. Great food. Nice presentation. We will continue to come.

I love coming here for lunch, they updated their prices but it's still a good deal! I get full fast so 2 rolls and 1 appetizer is perfect for me. And they have it here for $20 a person! They sit right away and have good attentive service. They play music and have a few tv screens.

Mood: Sushi and Chill Service was great. They were very attentive, nice, and made sure we were set at the table. Place was clean and that's always a bonus! We came here on a random afternoon and decided to get the 3 items for 19.99. Safe to say that was such a good deal- two rolls and an appetizer. Food & Beverage Warm Sake: 8/10: their small size was very small. The taste was smooth and just the right temperature. Nothing too crazy about it. Soft shell crab 5/10: there wasn't enough flavor for me. The crab was a little over cooked as well. Egg rolls 6/10: very small. Packed a little mild flavor. The dipping sauce saved the taste. J Roll 9/10: who doesn't love a baked roll. Size wise was a mouth full. Taste was really good. Flavors were also pretty good and on point. Coco roll 7/10: fresh! Always good with fresh sushi Volcano roll: 6/10 kind of bland and the yum yum sauce was very mayo tasting. The cream cheese was very over powering as well. Not too bad- will give them another chance just because service and so many other options.
