I honestly wasn't expecting KJ to serve food this delicious. I incorrectly assumed that a Chinese restaurant on the main floor of the Rio Hotel would be mediocre, inauthentic, or both. My friends and I were tight on time before heading to the nightclub, so we visited here for dinner out of convenience.Pork chop with spicy salt - my favorite dish out of the three. Crispy, delicious, and not overwhelmingly salty (which is common to miss the mark on).Sizzling beef - a great crowd pleaser; hard to go wrong and the first plate to become empty at our table.Beef chow rice noodles - I was skeptical at first since it didn't appear very appetizing. The black bean sauce is lathered over the entire dish and looked like a dark brown blob. However, I can confirm that it tastes way better than it looks. The sauce adds a nice savory taste to the noodles. When we walked in on Saturday night at 9:15PM, there were plenty of tables open. The entire room is designed in a format typically seen in traditional family-style Chinese restaurants with beautiful red carpets and rotating round tables for large groups. I wouldn't mind paying this restaurant another visit if I'm craving Chinese food at the Rio.

Came here to eat sun Sunday Dim Sum. Remembered how it tasted as this was the spot to go when they opened. Hot fresh food. Flavors on point. Don't know what happened after all these years. Their OG Chinese spot in Chinatown was the spot to go- for Chinese food, late night. On the other- food kinda turned the opposite way. Quality and taste wasn't what like I remembered. Even price spiked up 30%. May be the economy and inflation. Overall. Standard dim sum, some hits, some missed.Egg yolk bun was good. And the shrimp wrapped in rice noodle. That's lol that stood out from everything we orderedSteamed shrimp eggplant 4/5Egg bun 5/5Chinese broccoli 3/5Shui Mai 3/5Har gow 3/5Tripe stew w/ daikon 3/5Egg tart 3/5Chicken feet 4/5Coconut bun 2/5- the fake coconut flavor was pronouncedHot tea 5/5Believe I ordered more, but forgot. Over $100 check for twoService was as expected from a dim sum spot, had to flag down certain items. And wave no to the rest of the plates being pushed on your table. Open area, lots of space. This use to be my go to dim sum place. I came recently and was extremely disappointed. Our families don't waste food, we had some leftover that we didn't take. My 1 year old who usually will eat anything from bland to flavored at a restaurant spit everything out. Luckily I had food pouches and milk handy for him. One of the shrimp dishes tasted spoiled so we returned it. I got the lotus wrap and it tasted a bit sour, either it's spoiling or new recipe. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We came on a Saturday and it was so empty! The open lot use to be packed and the entire restaurant and outside was typically full of people waiting for a table. None of that existed this time around.

Visited KJ twice during my stay at the Rio. The breakfast dim sum was delicious. Ladies with carts of dim sum came around and introduced their offerings to you, and you can pick what you want to eat. They were always around and easy to flag down to refill your table and stomach. The dim sum was hot and delicious. The chicken feet was the most tender chicken feet I have ever had. The dinner menu has more traditional stir-fry Chinese dishes. We shared three dishes amongst 5 of us and it was enough food to fill us. The beef on a hot skillet was my favorite. Very flavorful with veggies all around. Truly hard to say if breakfast or dinner was my favorite, but easy to say I will be back next time. Servers were friendly and made me and my friends feel welcome. The room is very big and we never had to wait for a table. Definitely recommend checking it out!

This place is solid and is one of my "Go-Tos" whenever I am in town. The food is always consistent and the staff is friendly. It is located inside Rio Casino.

This was my first time eating at the one in the Rio, I had previously eaten at the one in Harrah's SoCal, and on both occasions have really enjoyed the food! The restaurant is conveniently located in the Rio right across from the new food court and open for quite a long time, from 10am-10pm. It is what I consider a typical Chinese restaurant ambiance with its large interior and red decor. The service was also in line with an authentic Chinese restaurant with fast efficient service and the food was rather tasty. This time I tried the shrimp balls and beef chow fun which came in a large portion with tons of beef. The flavors of both dishes were flavorful and were a very satisfying dinner. The prices were a little more on the expensive side (I.e. $3 for side of rice) but considering that it's in a hotel/casino, seems about on point. I hear the dim sum is also good so I will have to return to try it!

This place was absolutely phenomenal!! My best friend and I came to check in and we needed some time to kill. Our hungry stomachs led us to this place. I haven't had dim sum in a while so I was pleasantly impressed with the experience of it all. The moment we were seated, the carts came for us! These lovely ladies asking if we wanted this or that. Buns, noodles, dumplings, rice, and hot pot galore! Everyone was so kind when we politely declined our ever flowing table of steaming hot plates ! Hahah. We got the chicken fried rice, shrimp dumplings, what I think was a pork shumai topped with scallops (SO GOOD), veggie egg rolls, and steamed pork buns. These were delicious! All and every one of them. The place started off quiet and quickly packed up the closer it got to 12! I would totally come here again if I ever find myself in Vegas once more.

Still a good and consistent restaurant for dim sum. Appreciate the online reservation cuz I don't like to wait. Love the service. We were approached a few times and asked if we needed anything. It's a big restaurant within Rio. Plenty of parking in the self parking areas. On this Sunday, we didn't need reservation.

My girlfriend and I met for dim sum at this restaurant, where signature dumplings are served from carts brought directly to the table. We enjoyed an assortment of dumplings, veggies and my favorite custard egg tarts. The restaurant had an upscale feel with white tablecloths, and despite being busy, the dim sum was served hot and was tasty.

We tried KJ Dim Sum, and overall, it was pretty standard. The food was decent, but nothing really stood out compared to other dim sum spots we've been to. The service was a bit challenging since most of the staff didn't speak much English, which made communicating a little tricky. If it's convenient I would say it is worth it but I wouldn't go out of my way.
