If you're coming to Vegas, this should be on your to-do list! A great way to get away from the traditional Vegas experience. The scenery is gorgeous- a supreme tranquility in the air. The added bonus was our river guide, Ian! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and flora/fauna of the region. And such a great conversationalist. Our first stop was emerald cove, which is much smaller than I was anticipating, but still just as beautiful as the photos! On our way back, we detoured at a small rock beach, for a small hike up to a viewpoint where we admired the river from above. The high was 118 so the cool river water was the perfect way to cool off. Overall- highly recommend this experience for anyone who is looking for a unique Vegas adventure!

A half-day kayaking excursion was a great way to do adventurously celebrate my Husband's birthday this weekend, especially during this time when social options are limited.Booking online was easy, and I was very happy to support a smaller, local outfit on the river. Immediately after inquiring about a half-day tour on their website, Robert responded promtly to my questions and gave clear information on how the day would go. Robert was also great with getting back to me via email with a few follow-up questions I had.Our river guide, Morgan, was awesome! Morgan was so easy to get along with and very knowledgeable on the river - history, animals, things to do in the area, etc. He took lots of photos and sent them edited to us the day after our trip; see attached.Overall, strongly recommend Kayak Lake Mead to anyone interested in kayaking this beautiful area!

We had so much fun. We booked a full day and it was very leisurely which was perfect for us because we are beginners. Morgan was our guide. He was very easy to talk to, educated us about some of the different locations as we were floating along, and was overall very pleasant to have around. We booked through Robert and he was very detail oriented which made packing and finding the location very simple. Very happy overall and already looking to book a night time trip.

We absolutely had *THE BEST* time on our tour Sunday! It was more than we could have expected and we totally "clicked" with our amazing guide, Morgan! He was so accommodating, informative and fun, too! We can't possibly say enough great things about how fantastic our experience to Emerald Cove was! We will be back!!! Thanks again for offering such a great service!!! The kayaks were also awesome...I had never been in a sit-in type and it was so sleek and easy to maneuver for a first timer, even, just as you said! I didn't have trouble at all, so that was a relief for sure! See you on the next Adventure!

Kayak Lake Mead has a lot of services from kayak trips, kayak lessons, hiking, and adventure/fitness trips. Our group of 8 booked the 1/2 Day Trip to Emerald Cave. The Date: March 22, 2020The Location: Willow BeachOur Destination: Emerald Caves Our Leader & Guide: Morgan Eisen of Kayak Lake MeadOur Overall Experience: 5+ Stars! We had the time of our lives!!Morgan was awesome! He was prompt, professional, very patient, and most importantly, was entertaining. Although everyone in our group kayaked before, Morgan still covered the safety rules and gave us kayaking tips. A good leader leads from the back and that's exactly what Morgan did. He ensured that everyone was safe and kayaking in the right direction. We kayaked through Black Canyon, stopped at a small beach for a mini hike, made our way into the beautiful Emerald Cave (where the water is literally Emerald), stopped at another beach for a quick snack, and then back to Willow Beach. We picked the right day to be here too. The weather was perfect, and the water was calm. Wildlife even cooperated. We saw bighorn sheep chilin' on top of the mountains, carp jumping out of the water, ducks coasting by us, turtles sunbathing on a log, and even our national bird, the bald eagle, perched on an iron cable. The bald eagle looking down at me and giving me a nod as if to say that I'm an excellent kayaker was a highlight of our trip. The other highlight was of course, the Emerald Cave. I didn't take photos, but Morgan took a bunch (should be posted on their website soon). The water inside the cave is so clear and it even looks like it's glowing. We had a blast! Overall, I highly recommend Kayak Lake Mead if you plan to kayak through the Black Canyon. TIP #1: 1/2 Day Trip to Emerald Cave is $120 per person. You can book a trip through their website kayaklakemead.com. TIP #2: Kayak Lake Mead will send you directions and where to meet. TIP #3: Kayak Lake Mead will give you suggestions on clothing. I recommend that you bring some water shoes. TIP #4: Bring snacks or a meal with plenty of hydration. You'll get at least 30 minutes at one of the beaches to rest and eat. I also recommend sunscreen (to protect your skin, not to eat).TIP #5: Kayaking is the best way to practice social distancing. Thank You, Morgan & Kayak Lake Mead!

Had a wonderful experience with my girlfriend. Morgan was a joy to be around and the other people on our trip were very pleasant. I loved that it was a small group which allowed us to speed up and beat the larger groups to the Emerald Cave so we weren't sitting around waiting for those groups to finish in the cave. Definitely interested in kayaking again this fall with Kayak Lake Mead and checking out the hot springs!

Decided to take this excursion because after going to the Las Vegas strip for many years, we wanted to try something different/new. My family loves to party and the outdoors. And we had such a great time with Ian. He's a one man band, and he did great leading the group. He chatted with all the participants and made everyone feel included. Can't recommend him enough

My family of 5 really enjoyed this trip! Our guide, Morgan, was so awesome and knowledgeable! Robert was pleasant and made the booking super easy and accommodating. We were so excited and felt like we won the jackpot considering all the other outfitters had large groups and were congested. We had our own private tour and had a ton of space to roam the CO River!

These guys will make sure you have an amazing experience. This company is all about friendly service, they're very communicative, you'll get high quality equipment -- smaller groups than the other guys. I'm definitely paddling with these guys again!
