We ordered:100% Black Line Pork Katsu Set 7ozPork Loin Katsu Touban-ni Thick Cut Pork Loin Katsu Pumpkin KatsuYuzu Miso Toro SalmonOkinawa, Hokkaido, Nagasaki Milk Tea Having been to a Katsu shop in Japan, from the moment I saw the mini mortar and pestle with sesame seeds in online photos, I knew this place was legit and had high expectations. Everything we ordered was authentic and fresh, notably the salmon and cabbage. Never had Pumpkin Katsu and that was delicious. Service was good. Not a ton of seating so it's best to arrive earlier than later.

Finally came back to Katsu Ya Ton Ton! Rhodes Ranch and the adjacent area seems to have a lot of gems, and this is one of them! We came around 5:30pm on a Saturday night, and it was a 30-45 min wait, but the cute seating right outside the restaurant was really cute and was nice to sit and admire the little patio setup. The restaurant itself is smaller than I would expect it to be, but the seating is cozy and intimate (and I actually really love the chairs at the tables). The service was great! Despite being busy, all the workers were very kind and apologized for some delays throughout the night. For food, we ordered the Yuzu Miso Toro Salmon, and we loved it! The miso was sooo good, and we loved this little lemon bowl of salmon. We ordered the 100% Black Line Pork Katsu Set (7 oz) and the Regular Pork Katsu LoinSet (4.5 oz). You can really taste the authenticity, and we enjoyed grinding the seeds like a little activity haha. Will be coming back to try more!!!

The service from your waitress needs improvement. I was there Wednesday, February 26, 2025 to place a take out order.A pregnant waitress took my order. She gave my total which came out to be about $134. I decided to pay with cash today. What took me by surprise was she had the nerve to ask if I wanted my change.*Never ask a customer if they want their change*Take out order - majority of the restaurant is asking for tip. Why??? It's a damn TAKE OUT ORDER!!!*If a customer wants to tip, they will tip.In Japan there's NO tipping. Yet, their service is excellent!!!Much, much better service than what we get in the states. The food here is AWESOME!!!!

I am so obsessed with this place that I don't even mind waiting in my car for a table to be ready for over an hour. I take everyone who comes to visit me here and everyone is always so satisfied. I cannot fully express how delicious this meal is, and how it is the closest in taste, presentation, and ambiance as the katsu that I tried in Japan. Every time I come here, I order the chicken katsu set, which comes with miso soup, pickled cucumber, cabbage salad, rice, and dipping sauces. The chicken is juicy, light, piping hot, and perfectly crispy every single time. The salad dressing is spectacular, and the katsu sauce is so tangy and uniquely not too sweet. I also looooove the yuzu soda and recommend that everyone try it. I have also tried a couple of other types of katsu - the salmon, pumpkin, pork, and mushroom, and every one has been just as delicious. And on top of all of that, if by some miracle you have some leftovers, they package it so adorably and sometimes even add some extra pieces of meat for you to take home. This is one of my favorite eats in Vegas because it's delicious, filling, fairly prices, and consistent.

The food was overall very good. The only reason for the 4 star vs the 5 was that I felt a bit rushed thru the meal. Tried the normal lunch set that came with a very tasty pork katsu, all the salad you can eat with a tasty dressing, and some miso soup and rice. They also provide the little bowl with the sesame seeds which I like. Overall pretty authentic taste to what I've had in Japan so will definitely try it again. I saw the table near me have a shrimp katsu. I've never seen shrimp that big, so next time, I'm going to try that too. Space is tight so you are basically sitting next to strangers - again, feels authentic like Japan!

If you're looking for top tier Katsu this is the spot!We got here at 10:55 am on a Sunday morning and there was already a line! We were the last in line so we ended up having to wait about 45 minutes. They do provide a buzzer so you could wander off. As you walk in, it reminds me of Japan! It is very tiny inside but so cozy. The menu is very simple! Different choices of katsu with different types of meat. I recommend the korabuta pork. It is soooo thick + it has some fat to it which tastes so rich. I also highly recommend the yuzu salmon. I like to take the ikura eggs and eat it with a bite of my katsu. Each plate also comes with cabbage salad with a sesame dressing, Japanese hot mustard, and miso soup. For $20-$30 it is very filling! The bathroom is also one of the reasons why I love this place. Very clean, they have a bidet.... Nice and warm too. Service was awesome as well. Now I am craving for some katsu!

Got here at 5:04pm on Sunday and had to wait an hour because we missed the first round of seating. We tried eating here last year when we were visiting but we didn't want to wait 2 hours at that time so we were determined to try it this time. The food was worth the wait though! We tried a variety of dishes and everything tasted really good. The scallops were large and fresh. We ordered a second plate because they were so good. The fried oysters were good as well according to others in our group. The kurobuta pork loin katsu was so tender and fried to perfection. My 6 year old loved her kids meal with chicken katsu. It came with her choice of calico, two scoops of ice cream and a little baggy of candy. She's a very good eater, especially if katsu, so the kids katsu portion was little small for her and we had to share other meats with her. The pork toban-ni is basically a katsu-don but with the rice served separately from the eggy saucy katsu. Since the katsu is served in the sauce it does lose is crunchiness. However, I love mixing the eggy sauce with rice and I enjoyed the dish. The pork menchi katsu is served as for pieces on a skewer and was fried perfectly as well. You can get refills on cabbage, normal miso soup and rice. We upgraded our miso soup to the clam one for $1 and the soup was lighter and more refreshing than the standard miso soup. Just keep in mind your refill will just be the standard miso soup. It is a bit hard to flag down a server as they are constantly moving and serving, so you do have to be patient for your refills. The yuzu soda was also really tasty as well. We would definitely love to cone again next time we are in town but will probably try to come well before opening to line up.

The place is very small and can feel a bit cramped. They tend to get busy, and since they dont take reservations, it can be a hassle. The best strategy is to arrive before they open. Ive been here a few times, and I can say they're consistent. This place serves one of the best, if not the best katsu in Vegas. My go-to order is the Katsudon, and I usually choose pork. It is absolutely delicious--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the sauce is exceptional. I've also tried their chicken katsu, which was really good, especially with their katsu sauce. Service is always great, and we've never had a bad dining experience. This place is definitely a must-try.

I came about 30 minutes after opening and it was full, so that's always a tell-tale sign it's going to be good. Got seated after 30 minutes, which wasn't too bad. We got the scallops and although really good, it didn't seem worth it for just 3 pieces. I got the chicken katsu and my fiance got the thick cut pork. The set came with rice, cabbage salad, miso soup, and some pickles. The dressing for the cabbage salad was very good! Not overly powering and added a nice sesame flavor to the plain cabbage. I really enjoyed my chicken; juicy, crunchy but not too oily. I like that the breading isn't excessive. The thick pork was a bit tough and dry, so I'd opt for another cut. Service was pretty average for a busy lunch on a weekend.

They are busy! Arrived on a Saturday around 11:30 AM, and we had to wait outside for approximately 20 minutes to be seated. The restaurant size is relatively small with limited seating, so either get there early, or be prepared to wait a good amount of time to be seated!Touban-ni set pork katsu (4/5)- $22- Overall delicious! I just feel that it is a little pricey for the amount that they give you. Firstly they don't give you that much meat. Just lots of salad and miso soup to fill you up instead.- Comes with Miso + Rice + Cabbage + 5-6 slices of pork katsu- As this dish is katsu in broth, do not expect the usual crunch that katsu has. Rather, the broth's flavor is soaked up by the katsu, making for an even more flavorful bite. - I thought the broth was on the saltier sideOverall, this spot is very authentic and delicious, but definitely on the pricier side, which I don't think is particularly worth it. Furthermore, expect to wait! Would definitely give this place a try, but not sure if I would personally desire to come back.
