Hilton Vacation Club Desert Retreat Las Vegas

Great stay! Loved that we had a whole apartment. Very clean, staff checked in everyday to see if we needed anything. Lots of parking. Heated pool and BBQ's to use. Easy access. The only Con was you couldn't set the air conditioning lower than 68. We like a cooler sleeping temp. The staff gave us a box fan. Maybe a ceiling fan in the bedroom would be good. We will definitely stay there again.

I really like this place!My wife and I stayed here years ago when we were looking for a house in Vegas. Now that we have moved away after a dozen years, I enjoy staying here when I come back for work or pleasure. The units are clean and well done. They have a washer and dryer and a full kitchen with a dishwasher. The rooms are clean and nice. The only issue that we ran into was noisy faucets and plumbing in the restrooms, which they surely know about and have not addressed. The fact that it's in each of the restrooms is curious.

Horrible experience. Jelyn, front desk staff, lied to us and then withheld my Hilton points on purpose and charged the entire amount of stay to my card up front. Floors were not cleaned prior to arrival. Creepy place, stay away!

Let me start with the pros here...Off the strip so a completely different Vegas experience (if that's what you're going for). Vegas was just a quick jumping board for the rest of our trip so I chose to book a room with lots of space and home-like amenities.Free parking. The two bedroom/ two bath suite was HUGE. This room was probably bigger than most apartments. Friendly service and easy check in. Everything we could possibly need was in the room. Extra blankets, towels, soaps for the washer and dishwasher.Everything was spotless. The price was exceptional compared to hotels on the strip. Some cons...Not on the strip. Good or bad thing depending on how you're looking to travel. You're not walkable to the strip and even though they advertise a shuttle I never saw it. The area around the hotel is kind of blah and not much around it. You definitely need a car if you're staying here. No elevators so if you need one you'll be stuck on a first floor. Light sleeper? Good luck. We had a second floor room and the people below us must've had an early flight. 4am I heard everything they were doing down there. The crowd here...this alone is why I wouldn't recommend this hotel or stay here again. We hung out by the pool our first morning in Vegas for a bit and the things I witnessed, um yikes.

Quiet, clean, and comfortable. We opted for this hotel not wanting all the noise and activity of the strip. These are spacious apartments that were converted into a hotel. We stayed in a two bedroom. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which was nice. It had a full kitchen, small dining room, breakfast bar with chairs, living room, and outdoor patio. The room also had a laundry room with a washer and dryer. The only thing I really disliked was the awful green chair. It looked stained and very worn. Other than that, our stay was great.

What is not to love about this place. It is amazing. The unit had a fully equipped kitchen, large rooms and a full size dryer and wash machine. There is a microwave, coffee maker and all amenities. You can't find a place like this on the strip. It is away from the strip but there are plenty of 7-11s, a Walgreens, various eateries and easy on and off to I15 and I215. This has been by far the best place for us to stay. You will need a rental since there is no Strip Shuttle. Parking is free at Treasure Island which is in the middle of the action. This is a gated location and parking is right outside the unit. Great staff and this place is highly recommended.

Roomy. Semi clean (we had baby roaches in unit 213.) the AC WORKED great. Clean property and picnic area. Not a lot of shops in walking distance.

The front desk is RUDE. Lifetime diamond and told multiple times this hotel is HGVC. Booked on Hilton.com, and should be the same customer service. If you can get past the front desk, you will find no amenities. No restaurant, bar or anything to justify the $250 deposit. Btw- they operate in the 19th century. Does not accept Apple Pay or online check in. Never again.

I arrived after 10:00PM, so no long lines at the check in desk area. It was a quick check in process and I was on my way to the suite/room. Most of the amenity area, like the pool, recreation area and gym was closed for the night. I will check it out the next day.

We loved staying at this property. We stayed for 5 days, loved the free parking, the hot tubs- we used them everyday and the room. Everyone we met were very professional and had positive energy. The rooms are a bit dated but very large, super clean, and loved having a full size washer and dryer. We would stay at this property again. It was an easier drive to the strip and very quiet.
