Great food in da House!Halal House is a new business that, per the gentleman whom I assume is the owner, has been open for about 3 months now. I was on the westside today and found this spot on Decatur near Oakey via Yelp, and it's gotten rave reviews so far, so I had to check it out.I saw some interesting beverage options, including a minty Blossom Green Tea and some sort of Zesty Ginger. However, the Mango Lassi ($3.99) seemed safer than the others. It was refreshing, with a light but not too light mango character with enough sweetness and creaminess to offset an intensely flavored food dish, such as what I had.For my lunch, I went with the Merguez Bocadillo ($16.99). I'm pretty sure I've heard of Merguez being a Moroccan specialty, and the bocadillo sandwich style must have spread here from nearby Spain, so this seemed like one of the more authentic options compared to other proteins or the pita options (not that those can't be great too).The sausage was 100% ground beef and freshly/recently made in-house, as the owner proudly boasted to everyone, and it was pretty tasty with harissa and/or other warming spices. The bread wasn't too heavy, the fries added filling without distracting from the merguez, and the spiced mayo was portioned lightly enough.I also ordered a takeout platter, the Lamb Shank ($22.79), for dinner. It's a huge bone-in piece of lamb with a lot of yellow basmati rice. This was definitely a bit more intense, possibly due to a little moisture loss? It's not like it was too dry when I got to it. Definitely try to eat it fresh (perhaps shared with someone), and expect big flavors including warming spices. And in case you're wondering, no white or red sauces were needed.Halal House is a great new restaurant with Moroccan and other Mediterranean food options. No tagine dish is on the menu yet, but I did see at least one of the requisite cooking vessels on premises, so who knows about the future? I'll have to make another trip soon to try more of what they already offer.

Absolutely delicious! You would have to fly to the Mediterranean and hope a local would take you in to experience the homemade meal! No joke! All meals are made fresh so be ready to wait a little extra longer for you taste buds and tummy will be happy as can be! It's a small place with nice simple seating so you chat with owner and family.

Small place with a few tables. We chose to eat there. Super nice people. Ordered and sat down. After a few minutes the owner came out to chat with us. Food was fresh and super delicious. The French bread for the sandwich was crispy and the fries were perfectly crisp as well. Chicken was flavorful and juicy. Would 100% go back.

Made from SCRATCH!! Deliciously amazing quality and flavor!!! Woah! You will NOT be disappointed. The food is so fresh, it will be hard to stop eating. Service was friendly and catering! For fresh food it did not take long at all, with good company. I WILL BE BACK!! This is a new favorite. Thank you so much for offering homemade deliciousness!

I live literally one block away and it was so hard waiting to get home to eat it! I tried this place on a whim and was so delighted! Even though it is small, it is worth a try. The owner was so friendly and even let us try the ginger drink. I liked it so much I bought it and it paired so nicely with the flavorful food! The blossom tea was so good too. The rice was the star of the show for sure as we had both the chicken and beef platters. We ordered veggie samosa and it was just as good if not better than many others I've tried around town. I can't wait to go back!

What a lovely welcome from the owner! I stumbled across this place for lunch with my partner and had a great experience. A warm welcome, family-owned business, and great customer service. Not to mention, the food was great. Home-cooked vibe! I got the chicken rice platter, Greek salad, and my partner got the chicken sandwich with fries. Chicken was so soft, rice was great, the sauce was delicious, the salad was so tasty and refreshing- it didn't even need the dressing. Fries were nice and crispy. If you want a great local, authentic place to eat- I recommend this place! And they just opened! Always love to support a family owned business.

Really happy Vegas is getting more halal eats! This place was delicious and felt very traditional and homey, the food was hot, very fresh and looked amazing! Inside was clean and quaint, the young man upfront was extremely welcoming and friendly, I will be back!

Just had lunch with a coworker at Halal House. We had a great experience. The food was fresh and tasty and the service fast and friendly. If you want traditional middle eastern food, this is a great place to eat.

We have been trying to find a mediterranean place for a long time that sticks. This one was amazing! Ordered the chicken shawarma and gyro both very delicious, great sauce and fresh veggies, lamb and chicken both very tender and moist. Great service as well - met the owner and really makes you feel like family. Very passionate guy. Small place, most likely need to order out when busy. We ordered more stuff to go so waiting to try that later!
