You can never have enough local food in life. I have always been fan of Grinds 2 Da Max from food truck days. They just opened another free standing restaurant in Vegas. It close to the house but hours weird cause outside weekends close at 4pm and weekends relatively early 6pm. I made it work plus friend keep raving about Furikake salmon. I had check it out besides local food need know all the spots. My first impression was talk about tiny spot more like take out then sit down. Literally table three and bar stools. Guess less than 15 total. Lucky found spot all tables full just had spot at bar stools. The interior love it. Artwork original and hell of cool. Total 808 vibes plus know current selling Noms candy on the side. Iykyk.I had to get the Furikake Salmon just cause. I more of Furikake Chicken guy. Menu nice size for sure has all local classics. They offer combos pick two meat or fish off the menu. I went with Furikake bliss got the Salmon and Chicken. Both were amazing. The chicken spicy version the sauce was Onolicous. Crispy skin, moist, and winnah! Same for the salmon. The portion size steal of deal and know local style plate lunch cover barely keeps the food in. The only thing ok with was the Mac salad. I prefer more plain Jane style. Overall will be back already thinking meat jun on the menu.

Ordered the laulau plate- Good amount of rice- laulau pretty small/ has good flavor- crab meat was weird/bland- kimchi was good, not enough** for such a small amount of laulau.. It was not worth the price. I'd go elsewhere for this. However, the taste was on point, moist.Still will visit to try other dishes... will come back

Combo plates/chicken is definitely the way to go here over the fish. I liked the garlic chicken more than the furikake chicken, and the portions for these were huge. On the other hand, the tuna poke was pretty standard. The fish was firm and didn't really melt in my mouth, and the portion was also small for the price. Very much a hole-in-the-wall kind of place. Super cramped restaurant with limited seating. Also, I came in once in the summer where they were running fans and it was still super warm inside. Not sure if their AC was simply out at the time, but beware of this if you're trying to dine in when it's hot.

Why was this place so good? I haven't had Hawaiian food in a very long time so was excited to try this place out. When I called to see if they were open, the were responsive and picked up on the first ring. I think next time I will order via phone because we had to wait 20 minutes after putting in our order and the store is quite small with not a lot of seating. We ordered this for 4 people and it was the perfect amount:- Meat Jun (Regular) - I've never had Meat Jun before, but it can be roughly thought of as scrambled eggs with beef. I thought this was pretty good as the eggs had a lot of the sweet flavor that went well with the rice. I also thought the potato crab salad was pretty good as the imitation crab added another layer to the dish.- Half Garlic Chicken, Half Dynamite Chicken Katsu (Regular) - I think I liked the Dynamite Chicken Katsu a bit more as the sauce elevated the dish. - Shoyu Poke (1 pound) - This was the star of the meal. Although the poke was a bit expensive, I thought the fish was incredibly tender and the sauces soaked throughout the fish. I feel like when you buy poke from Costco, the fish has a bit more tendon in it, so I really appreciate that this one was way more soft.Overall, a fantastic place to eat in Las Vegas and would definitely recommend going especially if you're visiting with a car.

Food is always right on! Dynamite ahi Katsu is so ono, it's our family's favorite! Butter garlic shrimp was pretty good too.Plates come with potato salad and kimchi. We ordered a large pog juice but it tasted watered down fruit punch with strawberry, idk that was not good. Definitely not pog juice like back home. Other than that everything was alllrigghh!

What a great place! It's close to my home, so I went for lunch. The staff is really nice! I got off the menu stuff and he made it into a combo for me. It's really busy (11:45am) and there is a small line (1-2 people). It's a great Hawaiian place and I'll make sure to visit again and again...

One of our fave places when cravings hit. This place is small with very limited seating so your best bet is to order take out. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Some of our faves are Dynamite Katsu, fried noodles, meat jun and their garlic chicken to name a few. They have a good variety to choose from their menu. We really do prefer this place compared to other places here in Vegas. So

There's counter tables and 3 tables. We ordered the mini dynamite chicken katsu with fried noodles and mini Teri steak. My husband said the dynamite chicken katsu with fried noodles was delicious but it was too spicy for me. The Teri steak was delicious but I wish had more Teri flavor or Teri sauce on the rice. The mini plate was good portion size for us. We would have leftovers if we ordered the regular plate.

I love Hawaiian food. And once I saw they offer jun beef I had to try.. Very minimal seating and it's very busy . But don't let that away you from truly this place. Food was very very good. Had a combo garlic chicken and a spicy sweet and spicy garlic shrimp. So good . Flavors was perfect and the sauce on rice was excellent. Both highly recommend Next combo was Hawaiian poke and Jun beef. Poke was fresh. Decent nothing to rave over but was good. Jun was cooked nicely. Not as good as my fav spot broken mouth in ca but overall very good

I saw Grinds 2 Da Max on Instagram and while I was in Las Vegas, I just happen to have a friend come here a couple days before I did. The picture of the food looked great, so we decided to check it out as I love good Hawaiian food. Well, Grinds 2 Da Max did not disappoint! The food is Da Bomb! They are located in the Wantai Plaza, unfortunately in a tiny space so there was not much tables to sit at if you wanted to eat in. Most people were doing take out. We were fortunate to get a table, so we did dine in. The whole time we were here, all the table were full and plenty of people waiting for their order or in line waiting to order. Everything we ordered was delicious and packed full of flavor! The only thing that could have had a little more flavor was the Hawaiian style Poke, but it could have been because everything else was packed full of flavor. When you are in Las Vegas, You need to come to Grinds 2 Da Max for some awesome Hawaiian food!
