I wasn't expecting much considering this is just a big banquet room turned music venue. I was very pleasantly surprised. Went to see Jason bonham Saturday night. The sound was great. Chairs were regular dining room chairs in rows. They did have screen playing the concert up on the screen. It's not a bad seat in the house. No way you could get to the bar, the line was out the door. They should have a cocktail waitress around. For what it's worth, it was a great show, and I would go back .

I've lived in the Henderson area for over two decades and have been to GVR more times than I can count, but I had zero idea that this events center existed! It's kind of hard to find throughout the casino, so your best bet is to follow the signs and look for the escalators that take you down to the events center. Once you exit the escalators, you will see a bunch of different halls/ballrooms so make sure to find the right one for the event you're attending.I was attending an gala event at this center called "Healthcare Hereos" to honor local administrators, doctors, medical personnell, and volunteers who have served our community during the ongoing COVID panademic. I was honored to be able to attend and support a family member who was being recgonized at this event for all his hard work in the LV community. The hall/ballroom itself was absolutely beautiful and the stage is at the perfect height to allow guests to be able to see the presentation from any part of the room. The banquet staff were amazing and so kind to constantly attend to the guests needs for water, drinks, dinner etc. Overall the food was so delicious and I think the event itself was a wonderful way to celebrate and honor these heroes.Thank you to GVR and their amazing staff for providing space and service for this wonderful event. I would be glad to attend more events here in the future!

This was the worst concert I've attended such that I left within 1/2 hour of the start. I bought a front row seat for the show months ago. After following the line to the security area, I was through that quickly and I walked down the hall to the entrance to the event center. I was surprised how large it is.I was shown to my seat and waited for the show to start. As soon as the lights were dimmed, a hundred plus people rushed the stage and my view of it was blocked by beer swilling, middle aged women who were there to swoon over their idol and take video, photos, and all kinds of selfies. In short it was disgusting.I thought the event people would let them there for the first song or two and then have them sit down. This IS NOT what they do. Rather the area between the seats and the stage is open range and the critters wander freely. At one time I had to do a quick two step to avoid someone's beer falling on me.After about 1/2 hour, I got up and walked out. The price of the seat wasn't that much to lose and my mental health improved tremendously when I was outside the main doors. One and done. If they resurrected Lucille Ball and had her there, I would not go to the show. This event center needs help in crowd control unless they like the free for all!

The Events Center is just OK. Not designed for Concerts, more like Ballroom events. It was Festival Seating, 1st come 1st served. I give it a 3 Star Rating. Now for the Good Part : QUEEN NATION !!! They are Fantastic ! From Tie your Mother Down,Fat Bottomed Girls,Bicycle Race,Somebody to Love to Bohemian Rhapsody ! Loved all their GR8 Songs ! 2nd time seeing them ..... more to come in the Future ! Overall a 4.Pick a Good Group and you will have an Excellent Evening.

Guess I'm the only one on Yelp that reviews here. After you make it to a certain status in gambling, you get invited to these fantastic foodie events. Not a big deal or to brag, the banquet employees need to be recognized for there awesomeness. I bring my parents here because it makes them happy & they are all I have. Food and service are over the top! The live entertainment is always soothing as you dine such as the awesome angelic violinists who have been here before. Once was the Southern Baptist Gospel who were also awesome. It's a nice variety of entertainment each time & food. Once we walk in & find a seat, mom & I head to the Bloody Mary Bar while Dad watches our purse lol. Then we head back, he gets a mimosa, we cheers & he gets a plate. Then we head to the food extravaganza! It's a usual routine lol. I usually get a breakfast plate, another drink & am on my way up to the Sportsbook. I tell them to have a long leisurely brunch & that's that. I am not big into buffets, but this brunch buffet is so worth it. I did have a taste of quite a few items so that I'd give you a full review. The eggs were creamy & cooked to perfection, lox & bagel awesome, pork sausage, horrible, bacon amazing, pork w/ chimichruri fantastic, grilled salmon & prime rib ok, fruit good, bloody Mary bar fantastic! Desserts also were great! All is free and the fresh Rose centerpieces were gorgeous so props to the florist.

I attended an awesome concert by Blue Oyster Cult that at the end was ruined by security guards yelling at us to leave. The band was shaking our hands and tossing out guitar picks and over zealous security guards wanted us GONE. Mind you we were all over 50 and the stage is at least 6' high so there was no security threat. We were so excited, there was only about 15 of us, trying to shake hands with the band that we have loved for 40 years but security ruined it. They were terrible. They actually had me in tears when the guitarist tossed me a pick and I went to pick it up and was accosted by security guard "S" yelling at me to LEAVE NOW. What the hell is wrong with these people I will never attend another concert at this venue until I am told that they will handle things better.

I purchased a front row seat to a show here. What was the point when there is no security and people from the back came and stood in front of our seats for the entire show. Not worth it. The seats are also too close together as the woman behind me kept hitting my seat throughout the entire show. The performance itself was great. The venue staff was friendly and helpful. The lack of security and the way this venue allows folks from the back to just stand in front of the stage in front of seated patrons is why I shall not return here for another event.

Beautiful Resort but one complaint only. Actually 2. The floors in our room were not vacuumed and still had chips and little pieces of paper on the floors when we returned to our room. Too, the balcony is very spacious but very dirty! Looks like they haven't been cleaned in years. I left a tip for the housekeeper but I sure regret that I did now. Pool areas are fabulous! Sand pool that was pretty cool! Casino area are nice too! Professional-staff outside of housekeeping.

Run, don't walk from any events/concerts at this scam venue. This is NOT a "grand event center." It's a dated conference/banquet room with old table chairs linked together and terrible acoustics. Paid $1200+ for tickets and regret not checking out the venue before purchase. All sales are FINAL - no resale or refund options. E-delivery of tickets less than 48 hours before the event.
