Fast service. Fresh. I enjoyed the just out of the oven flavor. Plus the taste was very pleasant. I enjoyed the eating experience.

The service is top notch here, never experienced anything like it. Our server was very helpful, very attentive and very friendly. The restaurant is busy but still very inviting, it felt like I was in a movie. And the music was great. Now the food, our steaks were divine, our sides were divine, our drinks were divine. Down to the dinner rolls! They're booked out for months so i had to wait 5 months but it was absolutely worth it

After seeing all the raves and five-star reviews, I was excited to try this place, but unfortunately, my experience was just "meh." As a bigger guy and a self-proclaimed foodie, I know good food when I taste it, and this just didn't hit the mark. The atmosphere and service were excellent--aside from my waiter, who seemed a bit off. He was more engaged with other tables, which made me question his attentiveness. However, the overall vibe and service from the rest of the staff were impeccable. Now, onto the food. The crab cake and meatballs were okay but nothing to write home about. Surprisingly, the highlight of my meal was the Golden Mule cocktail! I had the Longhorn and Lobster pairing. The steak was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection, which I appreciated. However, the lobster was dry and didn't taste as fresh as I expected for the price. My friend ordered the filet and said it was decent, but the sides were underwhelming. The mashed potatoes lacked flavor, and my cream of spinach was more like a soup than a side dish.At $420 for the meal, I expected much more than just "okay" food. While I appreciate the nostalgia of the restaurant, I can confidently say that this will be a one-time visit for me. It's nice to check off the bucket list, but I wouldn't recommend it as a must-visit spot.

Always wanted to go. So saw Frank Laspina show at Ahern hotel. Then walked over.Always thought how do you get there so this was perfect.Got a lovely booth and it was my favorite actor Clint Eastwoods booth. We shared a New York steak more than enough. A baked potato and.a Great salad. Well the busboy pointed out Eric Estrada dining. Few feet away so it made for quite the dinner. Service very Spot on. Food was very tasty. The meat was really good. What a treat. Was quite busy. Finally dined there. Yay!

What an amazing place filled with history. Our reservation was made six months before. It was worth the wait!We had the table side Caesar salad, the prime rib, snow crab legs, the 45 oz Tomohawk, sautéed mushrooms, creamed spinach, and mashed potatoes. Oh, and lots of Old Fashioneds. All this went on in Frank Sinatra's booth. When I go back, I am ordering the exact same thing. May be the best meal I have ever eaten.

So my brother and I were staying at Fontainebleau last Summer and had eaten at Don's Prime the night before and were blown away. We figured we'd try out the longest standing steakhouse in Vegas (since 1958) and compare them the following night. We couldn't make a reservation on the late notice but decided to walk in and got seated at a table top near the bar after a short wait. The location is just north of the Fontainebleau and west of the strip. You can tell immediately that this place has a classic, old school vibe to it, which I loved. It reminded me of a place the Rat Pack would frequent. Coincidentally enough, their website says they used to be frequent customers so that was spot on. Good service, classy. We started with an order of bone marrow which came out on a huge platter. Large portion. Delicious. Then we ordered the Tomahawk steak with a side of mac n cheese and creamed spinach. Good wine list as well. We both enjoyed our meals and the laid back ambience. I'd definitely return. Cheers.

Wowee wow wow wow this was a wonderful dining experience!! I can't believe we waited so long to try this historic Vegas steakhouse. You need to make reservations very far in advance. Like many months in advance. They're easy to make on their website. There is very limited parking in their lot. They don't have valet parking. We parked next door in the complimentary hotel parking garage which actually worked very well. The ambiance is very old world Vegas with leather booths and lots of historic decor on the walls. Some of the booths are labeled as the favorites of historic patrons such as Elvis and Frank Sinatra. Service was very good. Attentive and friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the restaurant. We tried several cocktails including the "Apple of my eye" which was exceptional. Ice cold and delicious. The wine list is extremely extensive with a small selection of wines by the glass as well from which I selected a decent Pinot noir. We had the shrimp cocktail to start. Excellent, fresh, plump shrimp with a classic and delicious cocktail sauce. Complimentary bread was served which was decent but not the highlight of the meal. When the basket was empty we weren't offered more. You must try the tableside Caesar salad. Amazing!! I never truly knew what went into a classic Caesar dressing, and the server went through the history of the salad while preparing it. Easily the best I've ever had in my life. If they served it on chilled plates with chilled forks that would have been the icing on the cake, and I wish they did this too!!We tried both the petit filet mignon and the standard 12 ounce filet. The latter was the show stopper and truly the "aristocrat of tenderness" as advertised on the menu. You could cut it with a fork. Amazing! We had the sherry mushrooms and whipped potatoes for sides. Again, both truly exceptional!!Save room for dessert!! We had the cherries jubilee which are prepared tableside unless you're seated at the bar or the small lounge adjacent to the dining room. The presentation was amazing, and the dessert was absolutely delicious and not too heavy. Perfect after the wonderful meal. I also had the Golden Steer cappuccino which features "7 different liquors." Delicious!! This was an absolutely amazing meal from start to finish, and we look forward to returning many times assuming we can snag another reservation!

Our very first night in Vegas we went to the Golden Steer since it was highly recommended online. My family and I ordered: - Dinner Salad (ok)- Escargot (ok)- Macaroni and Cheese (ok - taste like Chick Fil A mac and cheese)- Whipped Potatoes (ok)We opted out of their famous caesar salad because it was $19 per person (with minimum order of 2) and there was a salad for $10. Overall, the food was okay. I think it was a little overpriced (you're paying for who has eaten here and to eat what they might have eaten) and when we went on 12/23, the service was very slow (took more than 50 minutes since we ordered to receive our steak) and our waiter looked annoyed and tired. Their complimentary bread, however, was very good! And the guy who made our dessert was really nice. Between the cherries jubilee and banana foster, I recommend the Cherries Jubilee. I also like their red chairs and decorations.Parking: Plaza parkingLocation: Off strip Recommendation: Their desserts and complimentary bread! Skip the wait and eat at the bar/lounge. You might have an hour wait on holidays after you order...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Golden Steer Steakhouse in Las Vegas, a venue renowned for its classic, upscale charm. The evening began with their signature tableside Caesar salad, which, despite its theatrical presentation, left me underwhelmed. There was a pronounced flavor profile that seemed a bit unbalanced, though I'm not quite certain whether it was a single ingredient overpowering the others or an issue with seasoning. Regardless, the presentation was impeccable, as expected from a restaurant of this caliber.Service was swift, almost to the point of feeling hurried. Plates arrived with surprising speed, and while I understand efficiency, the pacing did feel a bit brisk for such a refined experience. Our main course, the 24oz Porterhouse steak cooked to medium-rare perfection, was nothing short of spectacular. The seasoning was masterful, allowing the natural flavors of the meat to shine. A thoughtful touch was the option to have the steak carved tableside, further elevating the experience. The Australian lobster, though generously portioned, didn't quite meet expectations. The lobster itself was somewhat overcooked, leaving the meat a touch rubbery, and the accompanying butter lacked the depth of flavor I had anticipated. However, the dessert was a true highlight. The tableside Bananas Foster was a delightful indulgence, with the contrasting temperatures of the cold ice cream and the warm, liqueur-infused banana sauce creating a harmonious finish to the meal. It's my second favorite offering on their menu--an absolute must-try.As for the complimentary cheesecake, though it was missing from my experience, I won't let that overshadow the many memorable moments of the evening. All in all, Golden Steer is a fine dining establishment with moments of brilliance and minor missteps. I look forward to returning for another round of indulgence in the future.

Loved loved loved ! Had our pre-valentines dinner tonight & this place was amazing! Been in Vegas for over 20 yrs & have never been to Golden Steer, so I made reservations 6 months ago for a pre-valentines dinner ! Well worth the wait. We got seated as soon as we walked in. Having reservations helped. They do get busy. Staff & customer service altogether was amazing. Ambiance was romantic, dark & dim. Noise level wasn't too loud. Loved the choice of music. Loved the booth history. We ordered the prime rib , whipped mashed potatoes, broccoli, & carrot cake. Oh ! & the bone marrow to try. Everything was great! Worth every penny. We recommend & will be back!
