A very small chocolate shop/stand located on the bottom floor (casino level) of the Venetian. We were wanting chocolates from Frederic Robert at Wynn but they closed. The only FR chocs you can get are from the Cafe at the Drugstore at Wynn and there isn't a selection, only regular chocs, not the specialty ones they had before. When we got to the Venetian, I looked at the selection here and almost everything had some fruit in it. There wasn't a huge selection of dark chocolates. In fact, the selection was rather mediocre at best. If you like chocolate covered apples, dried fruit covered in chocolate, you'll like this place. If you like a good selection of specialized chocolates, go elsewhere.

What happened?Years ago I stumbled upon this little stand in the Venetian near where Phantom of the Opera was shown. There I had a mini lemon cupcake and it was glorious. It was a lemony surprise, moist delicious cake with flavorful icing. I liked them so much I took six home with me and had TSA agents joke at the airport that they would keep them! I raved about this place to family and friends and on my recommendation several went and also enjoyed the most delicious mini cupcakes ever. Last year I did not go here. I missed it a year. This year my friend and I joyfully sought it out and we arrived to find it mostly like it was, but the details were slightly off. In previous years a delightful stand of mini cupcakes adorned the top shelf and inside the case there were several trays of them. This time all the cupcakes were in plastic containers sitting in the back shelf. There was a stand of mini cupcakes but on close inspection it was obvious it was display only as spiderweb tendrils draped from cupcake to cupcake and the icing looked hard. They could have been plastic. I am hoping they were plastic. The stand was empty with a "Be Back Later" for 12:30. No biggie, we left for the gondolas and arrived back at 1:15 to arrive just as the lady returned. She was talking to another Venetian employee and meandered slowly to the stand when she saw us coming. She never smiled and barely looked at us as we placed our order. I ordered my favorite lemon cupcake. They ordered four. We went to the food court to devour our treats. Then disappointment kicked in. I unwrapped my cupcake to find pistachio green cake with lemon icing. It wasn't like that before. I was prepared to ignore this change because I knew it would be delicious. It was not. It was the opposite of delicious. It was super dry and unpleasant. The icing wasn't nearly as flavorful, or fluffy. It just tasted like dry sugar. I could not taste any of the lemon. My friends and I started tearing the cupcakes in half thinking smaller bites would make them more palatable. The wedding cake cupcake was the moistest but far cry from the prior years. There was a bit of real strawberry in the strawberry cupcake that stuck to the wrapper when the cupcake was pulled away. The icing on that cupcake was so hard that when torn apart the icing didn't tear along its respective cake chunk. It simply fell off the cupcake in one piece. The cupcakes drove us to drink water because they were so dry. I'd like to think they had an off day. I would. I just don't know if I will give it another chance.

I brought two apples home for the wife and kid and they were nice enough to share with me. The apples were $10 each. One of them (one of the apples, not my wife or kid) was covered with caramel, then chocolate, and then hazel nuts and macadamia nuts. Some of the reviews said the nuts were stale, but we did not have this problem. However, the overall consensus was that it just wasn't a good combination. The second apple I bought was really fantastic. Very fresh apple and good combination of ingredients. The only problem is, neither the wife or I can remember what it was. Oh well, if I think of it I'll update this review.

Small "shop" at the Venetian. It's actually more of a kiosk near the wall. The chocolates are decent, but nothing out of the ordinary. As for the cupcakes, skip 'em. If you're looking for pastries of some sort, walk a little bit further to behind the escalators to Bouchon Bakery. They do have candied apples, which I thought was a little weird, considering this is supposed to be a higher-end shop in a fancy hotel. I can't say anything about the rude lady at the booth, because I have never dealt with her (although, it's been awhile since I've went).

It was friends birthday last night and I decide last minute that I would grab him a cupcake from this cute little cupcake stand right outside of my room. Some of the cupcakes had little descriptions and some of them didn't including the one I selected. The sales woman goes to the back counter and packaged a cupcake and from where I'm standing I can't see what she's packaged. She brings it up and it's not the cupcake I wanted so I ask, "are you out of the one with pink frosting dipped in chocolate?" then her demeanor which wasn't great to begin with went from ok to crap - she says, "this isn't the one you wanted? You said with hearts." then I tell her the one I selected had a heart candle in it.. Without boring you too much with specifics, this went on for a minute and at one point she was YELLING at me because she couldn't "see" which one I was pointing at and describing in great detail. Finally, after being berated in front of a large-ish crowd - I've had enough! What I should have done was walked away but I was committed to this Birthday cupcake.I stayed calm the entire time and was polite in the way I responded her. I was under the impression that she was there to help me but instead she continued to yell at me. I say to her "excuse me you're being extremely rude!" she then snaps back with, "yes I am right now." - At this point I am floored. All I had wanted was a cupcake. I get the cupcake I want and leave.I won't be returning. Even if the service wasn't horrible the cupcake wasn't great either it was dry and the icing was way too sweet. The cake wasn't even Duncan Hines quality, With service that bad you would think that their product would be delicious. Obviously I would give 0 stars if I could.

I love their display. The various chocolates (white, milk, dark) in pretty gift packages are tempting. I asked the associate a bunch of questions while lingering over the counter. She was winsome and helpful. I came very close to buying absolutely everything here. In truth, I walked away with the feeling that I'm glad this place is here. And I look forward to going chocolate-wild here soon.

Even if the service wasn't horrible the cupcake tasted bad as well. The cake was Duncan Hines quality but it least it wasn't dry and the frosting was super heavy. With service that bad I sort of at least expected a stellar product. Obviously I would give 0 stars if I could.

I came across this small shop walking through the Venetian and decided to stop by for a treat. The lady working was very nice. She takes the time to explain the different candy apples since there were no signs for them, but if you know me, I was there for only one thing: their red velvet cupcake. I decided to go for the regular sized one for $4.50 rather than the mini ones for $1.95 each. I was uber excited to eat my cupcake but there are no tables/chairs around so I took a seat at a slot machine. I first tasted the frosting. It was too sweet and it did not taste like cream cheese at all. I ended up scraping it all off. The cupcake itself was alright. A bit cold since it came from the fridge. I liked the vanilla filling which I wish they would put on top. Overall, too pricey for what you get.

First review ever. I had to do this to warn everyone about this store. Rudest employee encounter in my entire life. The lady behind the counter who works the night shift I guess (who seems to be appearing in all the 1 star reviews since 2012) was extremely rude and hostile.I asked her very politely "excuse me mam may I ask you a quick question?" She goes "NO" without looking at me. So I go "uh may I ask you where .." Then she interrupts me and goes "STOP BOTHERING ME." At this point I am severely offended so I stand there talking to her "Mam I was being extremely polite to you. Why are you so mean to me?" Then she goes "YES YOU ARE VERY POLITE. I HAVE TO GO HOME. NOW STOP TALKING TO ME."I asked for her name. She said her name was Elliott......I was so mad I kept questioning her attitude and she goes "YOU ARE VERY PERSISTENT. DID YOU NOT HEAR ME WHEN I SAID STOP BOTHERING ME?"I was just going to ask her a question........None of the conversation here is exaggerated it is listed verbatim word for word. Wow..I can't believe someone like that is still working at such a nice hotel for over 3 years. Someone needs to either fire this lady or if she's the owner the hotel needs to get this shop expelled out of their premises because I never ever want to set foot near the Venetian or Palazzo ever again. Do not go to this store.
