Founders Coffee - St Rose

Haven't been to Founders Coffee before. Ordered the bacon croissant and a dark mocha ice blended with oat milk. It's a pretty chill dining room. Staff was friendly too.

Visited this place for the first time today with my friend to get some studying done. The shop itself is so cute and the huge windows allow for so much natural light. There was a lot of seating and it was the perfect place to spend a few hours doing work. I ordered the strawberry ice cream latte with oat milk - it was gorgeous and tasted pretty good! I liked the flavor, but it was just a bit too sweet for my taste, so next time I'd get a few less pumps of flavoring. For food, I ordered the breakfast croissant which was really good and piping hot! This place is definitely gonna be in my rotation for study spots! I really want to try one of their coffee flights next time.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT ASK TO HAVE YOUR DRINK REMADE. I've been going to Founders Coffee for a few years now and never had an issue. Recommended to others, has friends go visit, buy coffee and loyal to the company for forever. Today at the St.Rose location, my fiance and I went per usual. Ordered a iced tiramisu and I am very very aware it has dairy in the cold foam. Typically I can drink it with no issues as long as the coffee itself has a nondairy milk. My fiances drink tasted a bit off and my drink tasted creamier than usual, we drove off but decided to turn around and ask to remake the drinks about 3 mins later. The initial barista via drive through clarified it was with oat milk and we just explained it tasted a little different and if we can just have our drinks remade in general. We did not want a refund, no apologies, nothing but a remake. Instead of just taking the drinks, the drive through barista brought the manager SUSIE/SUZIE out. Now I had no idea who she was as she did not introduce herself and came out the window upset exclaiming "she 100% made it with oat milk, I made it myself. I can guarantee you, I used the right carton, the cold foam has dairy" She also said I know its with oat milk, I can tell by how it looks. (??) We explained we understand but if its okay can we just get another drink in place of the tiramisu and remake my fiances drink. She at first did not want to help us, I asked several times if we can just get a replacement and not a refund. We love the coffee, just needed a little tweak. Susie begrudgingly took both drinks and when the drive through barista came back, I asked if the other barista was upset because she honestly sounded pissed. We have been going to Founders for many years but this is the first time we've had it remade. We explained we would get sick if it is too much dairy since we're lactose intolerant but for this entire time of months and months going and ordering the same drink, never had an issue. I asked if baristas get in trouble for remaking two drinks and the drive through barista stated, "Im a barista and I can guarantee that is made with oat milk and we don't get in trouble exactly but it is a loss of product" I said I understand but is it atleast documented? And she says no. So why they're so upset with us, I was sincerely dumbfounded. I asked if I could speak with the manager to discuss this interaction and that is when the drive through barista said that WAS the manager. My goodness I was definitely disappointed and truthfully angry because we put so much money into this place. I will reiterate that am aware the cold foam has dairy but I go weekly with my fiancé and fairly familiar with how it tastes. I am confused as why Susie came out so aggressively and it was such an easy fix especially when we both work in healthcare and we all need caffeine, that's all we live off of and I would ALWAYS talk highly of FOUNDERS multiple locations. My sister came to town and even though the Durango location did not do well with her drink we still came back. I'm really not sure if the owner will see this but as someone who works in customer service and patient care, that interaction was way too aggressive and felt so personal to Susie we just wanted some milk and syrup over ice at the end of the day. It's a minimal issue handled with maximum inappropriateness. I will reiterate that am aware the cold foam has dairy but regardless, to remake a drink even if it didn't taste quite like how we expected shouldn't be so intense. I usually don't write reviews but jesus christ that was way too much for one large coffee and one small one.We didnt return thousands of dollars worth of product, we were 't purchasing a house, we work in critical care and emergency services so we know two iced lattes was not a matter of life and death, that's for damn sure. I usually let this stuff go but the way she approached us heated already, I will never accept. As management, do better.

Probably the most aesthetically pleasing matcha drink you will find. Matcha overall taste was not overwhelming like others which I thought was perfect when mixed with the banana/strawberry. Although I appreciate having pastry options with my drink, I would skip on the banana bread (it was a little dry and plain). After ordering, only waited about 5 minutes and they have cute table cards so the barista can bring out the drink/food right to your table. I highly recommend this spot for your morning coffee and to start your day off right!

After giving blood, I found myself in the area for another appointment and needed a snack. Joshua was so helpful as I poured over the menu trying to decide. I ordered the Purple Rain smoothie (Prince fan all day) and a cranberry orange muffin, heated. Both were delicious.Gave me that little pick up I needed to get through the next few hours without passing out! I would definitely recommend the Purple Rain smoothie made by Joshua Z. I would also recommend the cranberry orange muffin, but I think it would go better with a coffee, my preference. Presentation of the smoothie was nice, it was served in a cute, clear plastic cup with a black lid and the muffin was accessible and easy to eat in its packaging. This all happened in the drive thru which was simple and convenient!

I decided to finally stop in and try Founders Coffee. This is definitely a popular spot on Saturday mornings. Most of the tables were filled with groups enjoying coffee and pastries. That said, it wasn't overly noisy.The menu offers a wide selection from coffee, boba, smoothies and lemonade. There is a pretty big food menu as well, ranging from pastries to breakfast sandwiches and açaí bowls. I opted for the seasonal Pumpkin Cheesecake latte, which has a cheesecake cold foam. It had a nice sweetness, but not overpowering like many pumpkin drinks. The spices were somewhat subtle, so that could have been enhanced a bit for my taste. For a medium (16oz) it was almost $9 with tip, so definitely on the pricey side. I hope they catch on to the trend and stop charging (especially $1) for alternative milks, it's ridiculous at this point when Starbucks is even stopping that.

Always love this spot to get my caffeine fix. It's easy parking and pretty spacious inside. There are two larger sized couch areas with some booth and chair seats. The seasonal coffee flight comes with the strawberry matcha and raspberry almond latte which are very good at $17. Also got the toast flight with lox, burrata avocado, and egg salad $20. Lox and burrata avocado are tasty, especially the burrata avocado seasoning with pesto sauce which is very delicious. I am a big fan of egg salad but you can pass it here.

Great coffee shop! They have a drive thru and a very spacious inside area if you would rather just chill. I had their breakfast burrito and it was so good had some heat from the chorizo. It's made fresh so was steaming hot. They have other options like juices and smoothies too if you want something other than coffee.
