El Tacontento

Had some craving for some quesabirrias tacos last night so I decided to hit one of my favorite food spot: El Tacontento and boy did they not disappoint. Tacos were on point as always. Freshly made corn tortillas, meat that's seasoned and perfectly tender then add the cheese snd grill it THEN dip it in the consume... perfection! I got their special of three quesabirrias and a chorizo taco and a drink.Thiis not a fast food place, all orders are made fresh so be prepared to wait 10 mins even for a simple order like 3 tacos!

One of the highlights of my visit was meeting the owner, whose passion for his craft was evident in every word he spoke. He was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help me navigate the menu, offering recommendations that perfectly suited my preferences. I decided to try the chicken tacos, which turned out to be a true delight. The tacos were perfectly seasoned, with tender and juicy chicken wrapped in fresh, flavorful tortillas that seemed to have been made with great care. What truly set the tacos apart, however, was the red sauce--a masterpiece of spice and flavor that elevated the entire meal to another level. The sauce had just the right amount of kick, leaving a lasting impression that made me eager for more. Throughout my visit, the owner's kindness and enthusiasm stood out, making the experience not just about the food but also about the connection and care that went into creating such a memorable meal. El Tacontento is more than just a taco spot--it's a place where you feel valued as a guest, and I can't wait to return to try more of their incredible offerings.

I really love the food at this place because it just tastes so fresh and delicious. It really goes to show you the owner has a passion for the food he is serving which is authentic Mexican food here in Vegas. Definitely would recommend checking out this hidden gem in vegas!

Food and service are top notch. I was craving some authentic Mexican food and so glad we made a stop. Area was a little sketchy but worth it. The cashier and cook were both pleasant and helpful. I didn't get pics this time but will be back for sure! We tried a Huarache and a burrito, both were really tasty and stuffed. The sauce selection included a spicy option as well as mild, there was also a pico de gallo for those scared of any heat.

I have been coming to this place for years maybe 8 or 9 years never new the name just the taste. The best street tacos around!! And the owner is pretty cool always good when I come. You should check it out!!James.

This location is at the corner of the gas station. I actually pulled into the gas station to recheck my map app. and then saw the food truck. I bought three tacos to go. Two asada and a soft birria taco. The red sauce has an adobo smoky taste to it and the green sauce was mild. The red sauce was a nice change to your usual red sauces . The green sauce in comparison did not impress me. The handmade tortillas are big and stand out in taste. Without reading the sign of handmade tortillas you can tell just by looking at the tacos that these are not your average store bought and reheated tortillas. The birria soft taco was also very good The meat did have the birria flavor I am accostumed to. The tacos are filled with meat generously as well but would suggest adding a bit more onion. Also they have a $1.00 processing fee if you pay with an atm, and there is also a sign that they are short in change if you pay with cash.

It's located in a gas station, it's a small business. We were first hesitant since it was located in a gas station but surprising the food was good. The tortas and tacos de birria are delicious. The agua frescas are really good probably the best I had in a while. The lady who placed out order was very kind, attentive, and welcoming. Would go again when visiting Vegas and recommend to others to try it themselves.

Kept passing by this place and decided to finally give it a try. The service was amazing, super friendly and helpful. The food was really good. I got two Al pastor tacos, very savory and juicy. The salsa verde wasn't too spicy. I would highly recommend this place. Will come back again!

The food was so good!! There was one man working the register and kitchen who was incredibly kind. highly recommend

Doesn't look like much when you're walking by but it is delicious. I 100% recommend los huaraches de asada they are delicious.
