Use to be my go to spot. Changed there name and doubled the price with less portions. Last time I'm here unless I'm really wanting a Cuban sandwich

Stopped by to try out their cuban sandwiches. Place is adorable and staff welcoming and friendly with a few precooked dishes to serve immediately. Mango and watermelon beverages were delicious. The cuban sandwiches came w/French fries or plantain chips. We did plantain. I've tried many cuban sandwiches in the city since I'm half Cuban and had delicious ones in the past bur was looking for a place in the NW area. The sandwich at first looked great large in size with plenty of roasted pork not so much ham. However the taste was not great and met below expectations. After pulling it apart noticed they didn't use the traditional sub sandwich pickles, ham or cheese that is commonly and traditionally used in these sandwiches. Seemed they used alternative cheaper ingredients. Roasted pork was okay very dry and lacked that cuban mojo flavor. Other ready to serve dishes looked like they might be delish and had people coming so I will definitely try the place again just not for the sandwiches.

It's by my house and all I can say that this is a good Cuban food place, the staffs are friendly and will walk you through about their food if you have questions. And on the outside they have this big chair good for picture taking .

When I went to grab my order she didn't believe my name was my name. Even though I had confirmation and was upset I got there 15 minutes early and was not expecting my order to be made then and there I just wanted to get there early. She was upset I got there early and had an attitude saying it wasn't going to be ready for another 15 minutes. No one was even there I can see why now. Never going again.

Just as its predecessors at the same location (Carlitos, Dona Lisset), El Bolero continues the tradition of homestyle, authentic Cuban food made with fresh ingredients. The prices aren't as wallet-friendly, but that's a familiar lament with most dining establishments these days. The combination platters (with a choice of meat/main dish, rice and side), served cafeteria style, are generously portioned with an average price under $15. We particularly enjoy the roasted pork (lechon asado), shredded beef (ropa vieja) and stews (fricases) as well as the appetizers like the fried croquettes (croquetas) and stuffed potatoes (papas rellenas). Sometimes the rice is on the dry side. We have yet to try the sandwiches or desserts. The small size of the premises means that there is very limited seating, so we always do take-out.However, the owners have set up a delightful patio outdoor eating area, and everything looks clean and inviting. Buen provecho!

They forgot the black beans. This is one of the worst Cuban meals I've had, complete lack of seasonings.

This place has mazing Cuban food, and the staff is so nice and helpful. It's small on the inside but there is a sitting area outside that's covered and keeps you cool.
