WOW YAY Doya takes the crown as my number 1 jajangmyun place in town. I'm already craving it again after having it last night. * Jajangmyun (5/5) - smokey sauce and perfectly yellow noodles * Tangsuyuk (4/5) - not as crispy as I prefer but love the chewiness The portions are a bit smaller than other restaurants but the flavor is sooo good. Service is kind and they offer hot barley tea. The decor is clean and feels just like Korea.

Came in for a late lunch/early dinner around 4pm on a Saturday. I was seated quick and service was great. We ordered a few dishes to share and everything was delicious! Their sweet and sour pork would be the only thing that wasn't a 5/5, but I think that's just my personal taste. I felt like it wasn't fried well enough. Overall, great food and service and will definitely be back to try more!

Yummy! Got their food for takeout (someone picked up for me) and it was delicious! Their black bean noodles were tasty and so yummy! I can't speak to other dishes since this is all I got!//FOOD//* black bean noodles: good portions, nice noodles with lots of onions and raw onions on side and pickled radish. Seasoned well and not bland at all (unlike another spot I went to)//SERVICE AND ENVIRONMENT//My husband picked up for me so I can't attest to all the details but it seemed like.a seamless experience from what he told me! Would recommend if you're in Vegas looking for a conforting meal.

Faaaaantastic! This place is exactly what Vegas needed! After learning of this place, we legged it over there. It's located behind Mr. BBQ and Mama Chai. We ordered the Doya jjamppong for me and a small tangsuyuk. The jjamppong was perfect! All the ingredients seemed like they were wok-fried, then added to the soup. Deeeelicious! And the heat level wasn't overwhelming either. The tangsuyuk was great too. The sauce was unique in that they added slivered almonds. Not sure how much difference it made, but a nice touch. Will most definitely go back to try their jjajangmyun.

Was doing my usual search on Yelp for "Hot & New Restaurants" to see if there are any new restaurants that I might want to try. Came across Doya Jjambbong and apparently it's a franchise from Korea?! Whoa there. I went to search on Naver to see if there were a lot of Doya locations in Korea and there was -- they had the same logo and similar menu! OK, now I have to go.Today, we grabbed a few friends and decided to have lunch at Doya after our gym session. When we got there, we were told we could sit anywhere we liked. There were about 11 tables in the front -- all four tops. Doya's location used to be 702 Karaoke so they actually have about three private rooms in the back for bigger parties (8 ppl+) or if the groups wanted private dining. The restaurant filled up pretty quick for the lunch rush! Doya and 702 Karaoke actually share the same owner. The owner went to Korea himself to get the Doya franchise. Additionally, someone from the Doya franchise was actually here in Las Vegas teaching the Las Vegas staff on how to cook each dish. That is absolutely amazing! We had a party of five and it was our friends' first time trying Chinese Korean cuisine! That meant that we could share a bunch of things so everyone can try! Jjajangmyeon - Korean black bean sauce with noodles. We ordered the Doya Jjajang, which should be the "classic" version of the dish. You simply cannot go to a Chinese Korean place for the first time and ignore this dish. This is a staple and absolutely delicious. Doya's version did not disappoint. The noodles were cooked perfectly -- texture was al dent and had the right amount of chew to it. The sauce was savory, not too greasy, and had generous amounts of pork in it. Gan jjajangmyeon - We got the Doya Ganjjajang. This is similar to jjajangmyeon but a dryer version. The veggies that they use such as onions stay crunchier as well since it is less saucy. Since it's dryer and it's typically cooked with a wok, it should carry more wok aroma. Doya's version is a little less savory that I am used to for a gan jjajang and with barely any wok aroma. Additionally, it was a bit more forward in the black bean taste. It's not necessarily a bad thing but I think it's just not my favorite version. The noodles in this dish was also just perfect. Jjamppong (Jjambbong) - Korean spicy seafood noodles. We ordered the Doya Jjambbong, which should be the "classic" version of this dish. Jjamppong is similar to jjajangmyeon in that you simply cannot go to a Chinese Korean place for the first time and not try it. This is also a staple. Doya's version was delicious with perfect noodles, ample ingredients, and a super delicious broth. It wasn't too spicy at all -- just enough to give it some flavor. Also the mussels were plump in this dish! Beef Jjamppong (Jjambbong) - This is similar to the regular jjamppong but instead of seafood, it uses beef. This is a fairly new version of the dish and not as well known as the classic. I believe the only other location that offers this is Jin Jin. Doya's version is absolutely delicious and is better than Jin Jin's version. I think it's because for the broth, they use the same broth as the regular jjamppong so it will have that seafood sweetness but they also include slices of beef instead of mussels. Tangsuyuk - Sweet and sour pork. This is also another staple! I have to say that Doya's version might be the best version I've had in Vegas. The batter is thin and the meat is tender. It doesn't feel like you are eating a lot of batter and they don't over fry it. It's so good that I couldn't stop eating it. Kun Mandu - Fried dumplings. These are pretty simple. Fried Korean dumplings. Good flavor and they fried it pretty well. The service was fantastic. They were still new and probably figuring out how the kitchen will run so it might be a tad slower than expected. Despite that, the service from our server, Neo, was fantastic and friendly. Plus we were too busy chatting up a storm so we didn't really notice if things took longer than normal. The price is pretty decent for the quality. It's not the cheapest in the valley and the portion sizes are on the smaller end compared to other restaurants in the valley. They do give the option for you to add extra noodles for $2 though! But still, I think it's worth it. The tangsuyuk alone will keep me coming back here. PS: If ya'll are ever interested in the history of jjajangmyeon/jjamppong, there's a Netflix documentary on it! Definitely recommend. I will be back!

After reading excellent reviews here on yelp for Doya Jjambbong, we went here right after opening time today to pick up takeout. The restaurant was easy to find, right next door to Shanghai Plaza. The owner Jeff was very nice and helpful. I ordered Soft Tofu Jjambbong and Jeff accommodated my request to add more soft tofu and exclude noodles. It was a huge bowl and a little spicier than I preferred but very good nevertheless. We also ordered a large seafood jajangmyeon -- and it really was a lot -- all mixed and it was the best jajangmyeon we've had. It's seafood jajangmyeon but had tiny pieces of pork included as well. The owner's personality plus the ambiance of this restaurant makes us want to dine here with friends next time.

Doya Jjambbong is trying to take the crown for best Korean-Chinese food in Vegas. Jin Jin and Yuxiang are both excellent, but there are a few reasons that Doya might be better than both of them. The Jjajangmyeon was very flavorful while not being heavy, but it is honestly similar to in quality to the previously mentioned "rivals." The jjambong was a standout particularly for the chewiness of the noodles. They have quite a few varieties, and we had both the beef and classic version. While the soup is red, it is only lightly spicy so do not let the appearance scare you. Lastly, the tangsuyuk was one of the best I've ever had with amazingly tender pork, while the sauce itself is pretty normal. The only forgettable was the fried dumplings which just don't stand out in comparison to their main dishes. (Jjajang, Jjampong, and Tangsuyuk are like the triforce of Korean Chinese cuisine).Service was friendly and the converted Karaoke Bar has surprisingly really transformed into a well decorated restaurant. My only concern which didn't really hinder our meal was that it was only 1 server during a lunch rush where every main table was occupied - seems a bit iffy if there are a lot of people in, but Neo (yea like the Matrix) was able to keep up beautifully and kept a nice conversation with us as well.Prices are reasonable as well, so definitely give this tucked in the back of a really quiet plaza restaurant a try!
