We needed a pet-friendly hotel in the downtown area for the weekend and this is pretty much the only choice available. No worries though because it's close to everything we like in downtown. Mere steps away from the Mob Museum, a block away from the Fremont Street Experience. Not bad. Def not as pricey as a Strip hotel. It's not so much a "new" hotel per se but the two older towers are the shell of the former Lady Luck Hotel and Casino.I did some research on hotel details such as location, parking, check-in/check-out time, etc. I read A LOT of online reviews and they were either really good or really not-go-good. In true Vegas fashion, we "rolled the dice" and I must say that we came out a winner!Check-in was fast and friendly...3pm check-in but you can also request early check-in at 1pm for an additional $25 bucks. A nice gentleman assisted us and answered our questions especially about the Pet Relief Area (PRA) and self-parking details. He also asked us if we wanted a "lower" or "higher" floor since we he knew our dog would also be a hotel guest. We opted for the "higher floor" and to our surprise , we were given the 25th floor which provided awesome views of the area. Room was pretty standard but the weirdest thing was the "missing" shower door...so water could/would/and did splash out into the floor, even though we tried to be very careful. For those bringing pet dogs to stay with them, keep in mind that the PRA may be quite a distance away from your room. The PRA is tucked away in a corner near the valet parking area, so it's a bit of a challenge to get to but we were definitely thankful that it was available as there are no grassy patches in the immediate area. As far as parking, there's valet and self-park (free for hotel guests!). We were considering valet bc of the convenience but we opted to self-park instead. The parking structure is located across the street and it seemed rather secure. Still, be sure to keep your head on swivel, especially if you're going out or coming back from some late night adventures. Also, unbeknownst to us, the elevators weren't working...which meant...we had to...carry our belongings up/down three flights of stairs. Wasn't that bad but hopefully they'll get fixed soon. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay here. We simply needed a clean, safe and reasonably-priced dog-friendly place to stay and the Downtown Grand surely delivered!

The his isn't a bad spot to gamble on the old strip. More locals than scammers probably come here than in the middle of Fremont. Dealers were nice; servers were not nice. One was annoyed with our friend and rudely told him to keep his 50 cent tip. It was kind of funny, but not meant to be. The dealer was super nice and helpful. We were playing regular black jack, which I don't actually play. The expected play is different from free bet black jack, and the dealer helped me figure out what to do. It was a fun learning experience. This spot is pretty run down and very smoke filled, but still a fine place to play.

The hotel location is perfect to downtown Fremont street and other attractions. It's important to park in the 15 min waiting parking to check in. The garage is around the corner and I wouldn't want to bring luggage thru garage if you can prevent it. Once inside check in was seamlesss and everyone was very nice.I received a room on the 25th floor beautiful view of mountains but terrible at night to sleep due to the music/bass from below. I really wish they had better windows or curtains that block sound because the room was great but to rest was difficult because of noise. I didn't eat at the hotel but enjoyed drinks from the jazz bar. A very nice vibe! I'd stay here again and ask for a quieter room if there is one!

We stayed here for three days and Greg at the front desk made our stay very nice! We got an upgraded room and he made sure our room had water at all times. I wish I would've took pictures but we were too busy exploring during our mini vacation. The room was clean and comfortable! The hotel also has hot dogs with a beer for only $3! We would stay here again because it's close to a lot of things and places to explore walking distance.

Hotel and room is pretty clean and all staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. Rooftop pool has a nice layout and vibe. My issues are with actually sleeping and staying inside the rooms. I was in the Grand Tower in room 1933. Loud music kept me up way too late even with earplugs in. The half wall shower in the bathroom is horrible and water gets all over the floor. I don't know why any hotels put these type showers in their guest rooms, my guess is they save money because people want to take quick showers. I won't stay here again.

Just spent four days here and man was it a great time! The casino experience was wonderful. It was always lively but never crazy busy. The $1 blackjack was awesome, a little hard to get a seat on the weekends but awesome still. Ended up making some new friends at the table and played until 2 a.m. Brandon and Brent your Ledgends The dealers were super kind and helped anytime we needed since we were new to the tables. I enjoyed the roulette table as well as the various games they had around. The Freedom Beat Restaurant in the hotel honestly had really great food for both breakfast and dinner. Our room was clean, spacious and perfect for the weekend. Overall it's a great hotel and casino. The $3 Hotdog and Beer combo stole the show too! And you can't forget the BOGO Mob Museum tickets

You know this place was fine to stay for a few days. It was pretty inexpensive and the rooms are fine.Plus column - * location is good if you want to go to Fremont street or mob museum. Also it was very easy to get rideshares at the front of the hotel.* staff was nice, easy to get them to hold our bags until our room was ready and I felt like everyone I interacted with was pleasant.* Free water every day!* Good price for a room.Minus column -* The bed was not super comfortable to sit in - just to sleep. The mattress would move around off the frame.* Not really a good place to sit and read - one extra chair in the room but there wasn't a lamp above it.* Trash cans were tiny and you only get maid service if you ask for it. We were able to call down and get service and I guess could have had them empty the trash. Oh and there was a candy-wrapper outside our room the entire time we were there so I feel like they don't clean the halls that well!* We stayed in one of the towers that didn't have elevators that went to the ground floor so you have to go to the third floor then take an escalator to the main casino floor.

I love the location of this hotel. The fact that it's somewhat inexpensive is great, too. I've stayed here many times. This time, though, the housekeeping policy had changed. I didn't realize that they don't do a daily room refresh. Once I figured it out and found the app to request towels and water and toilet paper, things were great! The rooms don't really smell smoky. The tower isn't over the casino which helps a lot in keeping the smoke smell down. The $2 hot dog and PBR in the casino is great. The hotel is just steps away from Fremont Street experience and the mob museum. The container park and some great restaurants are very close. Uber pickups and drop offs are great if you plan to go to other areas. I do plan to stay here again.

Great off the strip location. Rooftop pool is a complete vibe with bar and dj. Drinks were strong for the price. Casino tower room was basic and had a few issues like broken black out shade and the sink stopper was stuck. Overall worth it though.

Stayed here twice--super convenient for Fremont, but the cleaning staff is a problem. The night shift is fine, but the day shift? Absolutely not. They banged on my door before checkout time, and when I left my heels behind, they were never turned in. If you stay here, don't leave anything behind because you probably won't get it back. I called the lost and found, and they told me the cleaning ladies have 24 hours to turn in the items.
