The movie theater was incredible aside for the fact you do have to go and get your food and drinks from the front . The chairs are comfortable, and the staff is kind. The only issue I had was, it seemed as if the staff was a bit lazy because the whole walkway up the staircase was completely trashed and there were employees standing around doing nothing for about 10+ minutes when I walked in . The facility could've been better maintained and ownership probably needs to keep a better eye on that! They do play great movies!

My husband and I used to LOVE coming here when it was Art Houz. Today we decided to go to the now 'Downtown Cinemas'. Theater's are still nice with the comfiest chairs in town, although this is the 1st time we got to our seats and the reclining buttons were broken on both of our seats. Lucky for us, we had the entire theater to ourselves, so we tried out chairs until we finally found a set where both recliners worked. Chairs are clearly not maintained anymore. They also messed up the ticket counter & concessions. You used to check-in downstairs where you either purchase tickets or they'd scan your barcode for pre-purchased seats and print your tickets. Concessions used to also only be available at your seat; you'd scan the QR code and a staff member would deliver drinks/food directly to you. They even had some wonderful gourmet food options. This is no longer the case...Tickets & concessions are now combined into 1 tiny desk area upstairs outside the restaurant with 1 lady scanning tickets and 1 lady grabbing popcorn. No more in-seat waiter service. Concessions are now reduced to stereotypical eats you'd get at AMC or Regal. (PS: Worst popcorn; overly salty & not fully popped so it's super crunchy & kernel-y). Seems wildly inefficient as there was a line of people from the restaurant/brunch area in the ticket/concession line to buy snacks and drinks, causing movie goers to wait to have our ticket barcode scanned; we barely made it into our assigned theater on time because of this. I don't know why people there for brunch were having to get snacks & drinks from the same counter movie goers had to go to, but it was weird and slow moving. I should've taken pictures of this weird new check-in/concession area, but alas I did not. Needless to say, I can see why we were the only ones in the theater for our movie. The charm of this theater is completely gone. We'll be sticking to AMC from now on; similar comfy chairs, ample parking, and closer to home. No desire to drive 30 minutes to Downtown Cinemas anymore :-/

Still love going to the movies in the theater and this place is one of the comfiest. Grab a drink and popcorn, sit back in the reclining chairs and enjoy the show. This place has parking and a bar restaurant attached if you want to grab a drink or a bite before or after (I believe also during) your movie.

Downtown Vegas is my Jam!! I remember back in the day they had a theater at the Neonopolis area many years ago and they closed it down!!! I am so glad to see that they have a beautiful modern-day theater here. There is so many friendly and wonderful people who work here. This is the best theater in town!! I usually go to Brenden Theaters for their reclining chairs but I did not realize they also have reclining chairs here! This place is in a very convenient location and open at convenient hours. They have a fabulous menu for food if you are hungry this is the place! They have a full kitchen and delicious gourmet food and snacks such as burgers, mozzarella sticks, and jalapeno poppers. Other places just have popcorn and nachos.... The service is 5 stars. I was helped by two lovely ladies Alexsandra and Nikki! They helped me choose delicious snacks and provided nothing but 5-star service. Looking forward to watching many more movies here in the future!!!

I never knew this cinema was there but my friend and I went and it was great & very "homey" feeling!! The woman up front was very nice and informative. It had very comfortable reclining seats with a little table, but the thing that impressed me the most was how clean it was, a very big plus! We will definitely be making this our go-to theater when my friend and I meet for lunch and movie day!

I get that you have to cater to every audience, but showing a Matt Walsh movie is beneath this fantastic theater. I've always enjoyed this place, and I hope this doesn't become the norm.

Love the new name Love the rebranding I've been coming here for years. Total buzzkill the in-theater dining was cancelled. That was the main reason I would pick the cinema. Come on, Downtown Cinemas, make it special again. I can go watch movies anywhere. I did get to eat off their new menu from Naomi's kitchen which was excellent, but could y'all just have it delivered to our seats?!? Still recommend but i am pretty sure if I don't feel like driving in futures, I'll pick a local cinemas to watch a movie if I want the regular movies experience.

This USED to be my girlfriend's a I FAVORITE theater due to the service and how luxurious it felt to be inside BUT that was when it was called The Art Houz and it truly felt like an art house. You used to be able to walk inside get scanned in downstairs and the walk up the flight of stairs was magically. Beautiful art pieces all around the staircase and at the top. You were able to just immediately go to the theater and order your food from inside. Table service was amazing and you could order actual food and cocktails. Not only that but they used to have a combo that included a large popcorn large drink and your choice of candy(enough for two grown adults) and noticed I said used to. The seats were amazing. The last time I experienced this was for the Barbie movie. Went in this past weekend to go watch maxxxine and I truly do not want to go back. Everything that made the Art Houz an art house has been stripped down. Now it's just the boring doWnTowN ciNemAs. All the beautiful art has been stripped from the walls and replaced with mirrors. And the concession stand is this tiny little table. No more popcorn drink candy combo. No more theater table service/food and cocktail service. It feels like if I'm going to a basic movie theaters now. It looks like a boring hotel lobby. The staff informed me they recently changed management/ownership. Me and my girlfriend had a short conversation with the staff at how truly heartbroken we were as they made drastic changes and made the overall experience even worse. The staff agreed as they had been working there when it was still the Art Houz. The only good thing about it now is that the seats are still the most comfortable perfect seats for any couple wanting to relax lay down and watch a movie but besides that it's truly not worth going anymore. It's crazy how it's right there in the ARTS DISTRICT and the ART HOUZ has been made into a corporate theater. Won't be going back anytime soon. I'm only leaving a 2 star because of the many memories me and my girlfriend had there before but it is not the same anymore.
