I got the cream puff green tea flavored cream, and the lady there was like "Buy 1 get 1", which was cool but a bit sus since it felt like they were trying to get rid of the cream puff. And my fear was right. The cream was not creamy at all, it was all spongy, super weird texture and flavor, like they defrosted their cream puff. They tasted so awful. My bf who was with me was like "Ewww" the moment I let him tried it. He asked me to throw it away asap since it tasted like it could make us sick.

i absolutely love the fact that 168 market has a bakery inside.you can get all your asian grocery necessities plus a lil treat for yourself or your sweetie on your way out.or, better yet, grab something before you start shopping and grub away while filling your cart.desir bakery has all the essential chinese bakery items.from little egg custard tarts to big party cakes, everything is quite tasty.service is slightly lacking.for example, i purchased a birthday cake for a friend and they refused to write happy birthday on it for me.instead, the girl, and i say girl because she couldn't have been older than 15, told me that she'd give me a piping bag and i could do it myself.how weird is that!?i declined as i have a pretty good feeling that i can't pipe for sh**!!!a baker, i am not.the cake was a hit with the homies, though and the birthday boy loved it!writing or not, the cake itself was super moist and fluffy with the perfect amount of sweet.fresh strawberries and peaches on top and fruit in the middle of the cake.yum!oh, i can't forget to mention the prices.all of the baked goods are around $1 a piece.so, pretty easy on the pocketbook.=o)

Got here late at like 9:45pm but place closes at 10. First impression seems very organized, the bakery is inside the market 16 something the market name, anyway since it was late the bread was almost gone but I understood, I got the muffin and danish and chocolate bread this is my first try so I wanted variety of flavors. I've had the muffin sponge like bread before and I liked it but my sister thought it had a weird after taste the other two breads were super yummy I really loved them the danish is perfect to me. One thing I noticed though, is that there bread made me really gassy, I do eat organic so my body isn't used to baked goods but idk if it was worth it it tasted great but my sister said every bread she tried had a gross after taste, I just really love bread so I saw the bread amazing! Honestly though I make my own bread but I like fluffy delicate bread like this. We took five breads in total and I paid like 6$ something

I love the lightness of cakes from all parts of Asia. So, naturally grabbed a slice of pandan and saw that there was a special posted - buy a slice and get coffee at a discount - yum. Well, the gal at the counter was confused at my request for the coffee and cake combo, but we worked it out. I prep my coffee and have a seat in their dining area and...wow, the coffee had a richness that I was not ready for; so happy! The cake which is good on its own, was taken to new heights accompanied by that strangely delicious cup of joe.
