Spam musibis!! Glad they were still a bit warm.
Decent slice of spam. At first I thought their spam slices were going to be eyebrow thin.

One Lincoln for two scoops of rice, and an entree, and a side dish, and a dessert, annnnd a can of soda of your choice (coke and pepsi products). What?! Delivered to your door free of charge. What?!Here's the drill...their Facebook page offers what their menu is for the week. They run during the week only with delivery between the hours of 10am and 2pm. So...don't go grumbling on a weekend or after these hours. You preorder as quantities are limited. Once they are sold out...they're sold out. You have up to 930am of the day of (I believe) to place your order. How?!Text the number your name, address, how many plate lunches, and choice of beverage. They offer spam musubis for a Washington more (1 dollar for those who didn't realize that's Washington's face). For those 808ers or those who enjoy Hawaiian sun products, in lieu of your free drink...you can switch it up for a Hawaiian sun beverage for.....drumroll...a Washington more! I'm typing as if I work here, I don't. Actually, I don't even know if they're a business you can drive to or if they are strictly a delivery service. The gut believes they're strictly delivery. It was my first time placing an order after noticing their business on facebook. I texted on a Thursday afternoon for a Friday's delivery and the person on the other end was pretty prompt in reply. I wanted to give them a try by eating on a day they were serving a dish I am accustomed to. It was Korean style mochiko chicken. Which is basically a sweet and salty marinaded chicken that is tossed in mochiko batter (mochiko flour) then deep fried. It did NOT disappoint. The chicken was deeelish!!! Perfectly marinated and I wasn't biting into fat so no fat checking the chicken. I do enough fat checking on myself. Lol. Side dish was a potatoe mac salad with a macadamia nut dream bar as dessert. Sadly, I'm allergic to tree nuts so the husband scored this morning as he instantly whisked the dream bar away into his dream land. He was in heaven with it. I, on the other on, kept dreaming. Needless to say, it must've been pretty tasty. Potatoe salad to me was pretty much what it is...it wasnt too bland nor was it mayo overload. Couldn't place an order without scooping up some musubis for the kiddos after school snack. For a dollar more...you can't beat it. I thought the musubi was pretty decent. The slice of spam, rice ratio, and flavor was very complimenting to my palate. Wasn't sauce overloaded which is how I like my musubi, oh, and perfectly wrapped. That's 808 basics. When I get served a simple spam musubi that's quack-wrapped at an island restaurant...I peeve. 2 plate lunches, 2 sodas, 4 spam musubis...14 bucks. Beat that?!? I didn't have to load the boys up in this rain to pick up lunch nor did I have to cook. How luxurious. Lol. We don't ever use delivery services of any kind so it felt pretty nice! The morning of delivery I did receive a text ensuring I still wanted my order, then another text with an ETA...The guy who delivered said 1045 and he was here at 1045. Also, he had a very nice spirit about him. I will say this, if you are looking to fall asleep after your lunch...then order 2 more plates or add a musubi or two. Because one plate won't knock you out if you're a big eater. The scoops of rice are rather on the smaller scoop than your normal scoop, and I think the chicken I got was literally 1 chicken thigh sliced into long pieces. So if you are someone more on zee health conscious note and portioning is part of zee plan, this is absolutely the place for you! If you're a small eater, then this is the place for you! But...remember for 5 bucks...two scoops of rice, an entree, a side dish, a drink, and a dessert, annnnd free delivery...where are you going to find that?!?! I will definitely be using their service because I have become a fan unless otherwise. To the service, promptness, and food quality....as we say in the visayas...Lami Kaayo!Since it's a delivery service...keep the strollers in your car and consider it extremely kid friendly as you can keep everyone in their pajamas. Hahahha!Highly recommend!

I found Da 9th Island Kitchen thanks to a FB sponsored post and I'm so happy I did!! If you're looking for a storefront restaurant, then this is not the company for you. But if you want delicious Hawaiian food delivered straight to you, be prepared to be amazed! They have an ever changing weekly menu, featuring 1 special per day.We ordered 5 of their lunch plates (today's special was Spicy Hawaiian Chicken, rice, macaroni potato salad, banana split poke cake, and a can of soda - $6 each), 6 spam musubi ($1 each), and 2 orders of lumpia ($2/order), all for the bargain price of $40 delivered!!!! Seriously folks, $40!The quality of the food was top notch! No gristly pieces of chicken, but rather all high quality, delicious pieces! Food was still warm when it arrived at my house, way up on the NW corner of town. Drinks were ice cold! Now, if you want to ensure you get to have your fix of Hawaiian food, I suggest ordering the night before. They post the weekly menu on their FB page on Saturdays and then you can just text them with your address and order the day/night before. Technically you can order until 9am or so, but I've noticed they seem to sell out regularly, so why take the chance? They'll confirm your order via return text quickly and then on the day of delivery, you'll receive a text with an approximate delivery time.Seriously, so glad that we found this amazing business!!!

Horrible. Fried noodles were disgusting. Mini lumpia yuck. Mac/potato salad sucked. Manapua and mochiko chicken ok. $300 wasted, threw out half. 2 year olds birthday ruined. Never again!!!
