Japanese curry is my favorite curry. I grew up eating it and never knew a different kind of curry until I was a teenager and discovered Thai curries. Then I moved to NYC and discovered Indian and African curries but none of them ever took the place of Japanese curry in my heart. Walking into Cheongdam Food Hall, I just knew Curry-Ya would be the place I ordered from. I wasn't really paying attention when ordered and just ordered my fave, chicken katsu curry (with level 1 spicy), and was pleasantly surprised when miso soup and a cabbage sesame salad were also part of the meal. This makes it a very good price. I was looking for some pickles to go with it on the menu but didn't see any, so I bought some in the little market in the food hall. Not exactly what I was looking for taste-wise (they were Korean style pickles, not exactly I was looking for) but hit the spot any ways. Thinking about it now, I should have just asked the person at the POS if they had any pickles. She was super sweet and helpful and seemed nice enough I could have asked her. Ordering was really easy because of the person working there but also because of how the menu was laid out. I also like the snack options they have in front, it adds to the food stall vibe and ambiance. Oh, and btw, the curry here is excellent. My hubs said it was the best katsu he's ever tried (man, I can't wait to take him to Japan) and it was pretty good. He liked his steak, saying that even though it wasn't the best cut of meat in the world, it was seasoned great. The miso soup was good and the cabbage salad was banger, great dressing. My only suggestion, adding some fukujinzuke. Then, chef's kiss!

Great spot to stop in for lunch if you're in a hurry. The food hall area overall is kept very clean and the available water dispenser with nugget ice is a nice touch.Regarding our lunch from the Curry Ya stall itself, the service was friendly and food came out quickly enough. The Katsu curry was delicious with the Katsu being cooked perfectly and not too oily. The curry to rice ratio was also ideal, albeit a bit small in portion considering the price. The miso soup was pretty mediocre being just white miso and water. The cabbage salad was also drenched in dressing making it a bit difficult to eat without shaking off the excess dressing in between bites. The kake udon was delicious and a pretty huge portion. A bit disappointed that there is no shrimp tempura udon available amongst the varieties offered.

One of the "lasting" establishments in the popular Cheongdam food hall across from Desert Breeze Park, offering curry rice plates, udon, and rice bowls for a surprisingly quite the decent price point (for 2024 standards). I have tried the JAPANESE PORK KATSU CURRY, ORGANIC CHICKEN KATSU CURRY, CURRY UDON. All pretty decent in their own way. Service is as usual for any "food hall/court" type of establishments. Order, get a number. Surprisingly though they bring the order to you, instead of call out a number and you have to go pick it up. They also have staff who comes around picking up your finished meal as well, unless they're busy. You can always dispose of your trash and stuff yourself as well Ambiance is as like any food hall/court. Busy, noisy. Can't dock this place from its value, either way. I sometimes come here after work for a QUICK meal and go home, and this place hits the QUICK, CHEAP every time and is pretty decent.

We ordered the Cheese Pork Katsu Curry and Takoyaki from Curry Ya. The food came out quickly, and we shared it with a group of three, along with items from other spots in the food hall. There were plenty of seating options when we arrived, and the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes, making it great for sharing. The pork was crispy, and the curry was well-flavored. I wasn't a huge fan of the cheese on the katsu, but that's just personal preference. Overall, a solid spot with good food and quick service!

Curry Ya is a fairly "new" establishment located inside the Cheongdam food hall. They serve up curry dishes, udon, and rice bowls. If this isn't your type of food, you can always go to a different food booth. We've tried the pork katsu curry, the organic chicken katsu curry, and beef udon. Flavor wise, everything is pretty good. Price wise, it is amazing! Both the pork katsu curry and chicken katsu curry was $12 each! It comes with soup and cabbage salad. The beef udon is only $10! They probably added a bit too much mirin to the broth and the beef quality is quite tough but for $10, I'd take it. Great price and good flavor. Would recommend and would come back!

Decided to give this Food Hall a try. Curry Ya is located inside, shared with other separate restaurants. We had the Tonkatsu Udon, Pork Katsu Curry, & Chicken Katsu Curry. It was good, but nothing to that stood out when compared to other similar places. The seating is in the middle of the food hall and the interior is cutely decorated. The service was very friendly.

2/6/25 craving for some curry and we decided to check out Curry-Ya. We both ordered pork katsu but I had mine with cheese. Wow, their slice is pretty thick that my husband and I jad 3 pieces left. They give a good amount of rice and curry. It's really good and price is reasonable. It comes with side miso soup and cabbage salad. Service is as good and place all around were clean. Definitely would be back. Happy eats!!

I tried curry udon here last week, and I really loved it so much!! There was little meat and egg in it, and the curry sauce was thick which I really loved! I loved the udon noodle's texture as well. The price is cheaper than others, and it was a generous portion. The seasoning was perfect and the service was nice. The staff were friendly. The ambiance in cheongdam food hall was really nice and clean.

So when checked out Smile Shota notice Curry Ya in the same food court. I have always been fan of traditional style Japanese curry. The only spot really enjoy in Vegas is Curry Zen. After experiencing Curry Ya would say not go wrong with either one.It all the curry. The curry exactly way use to from 808. Hearty, rich, warms the belly, and had right depth in flavor. Really nothing not pair better then rice. If one difference between the two I feel here lot more diversity comes to the menu. The options come to proteins crazy. So much tough to choose plus have mix or two same plate. Sides or appetizers another part menu options. I ended up getting the pork katsu with curry. It all numbered and with pictures so never been easy. The katsu perfect breading golden brown and porn moist and cooked on point. All entrees come with miso soup and salad. So get bang for ur buck. I got adashi tofu. Solid starter light and refreshing.Service five stars. She was super nice. Welcoming. I enjoy about food court setup order give number find spot and good to go. If curry itch nice found another go to spot in Vegas.
