It had been years since I went to Cork and Thorn. However, I decided to return after I met a promoter who promoted Cork and Thorn in the barbershop. I went on a Friday night after I attended the Isley Brothers concert. The security was professional and cordial while patting me down, and the cover was free all night! I enjoyed myself, and the spot got lit after midnight! The DJs were some of the best I heard in Vegas as they played nothing but mainly classic rap and R&B and focused on songs to get the women twerking, and they sure were twerking in there! The patrons were nearly all Black, with a drop of non-Black folks sprinkled in. The dress code was casual, but I dressed as dapper as usual. I loved the vibe, and I met several attractive women there. I will return. It's a local spot where you're guaranteed to meet locals, unlike going out on the strip, where you're more likely to meet tourists visiting from out of town.

Hmm, not sure how to feel about this place. To start, I came here for date night with my hubby and upon entry, we noticed the staff was really friendly. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks that were pretty pricey (two drinks totaled $40) We had just came from a high end steakhouse and their drinks were only $13 each sooo... yeah... We enjoyed the live music for a bit when all of a sudden, the bartender taps us and lets us know that the bar chairs will be taken away at 11pm *sigh*All was going well and here goes the BS smh. We weren't redirected to another area to lounge, we were just told the seats were leaving. We assumed this was because they were transforming into a club, I guess? We later confirmed with the security that that is exactly what it turned into. Look, I understand if this place was marketed as an actual club but the vibes (as well as their own google and Yelp descriptions) say lounge and/or bar? So why take away any chairs to become something you're not marketed as? Again if I knew this is what it was prior, I would've made other arrangements. I wasn't sure if the "reserved" tables were also being cleared away so because we were unsure of what the place was turning into at the time, we just left. I seen that the seating on the perimeter of this club? lounge? bar? weren't being cleared but we didn't want to sit and be told we have to get up again. We came for a chill date night to listen to nice live music and to support a black business but I feel like I was duped. Please start marketing as what you are and stop trying to be something you're not. Maybe it's difficult to be a lot of things (club, lounge, bar) but letting your customers know exactly the type of establishment you are would be nice. I would've wore sneakers had I known we had to stand up for the remainder of the night. Again, ANY form of the staff letting us, the patrons, know where additional seating that is open to everyone (since we didn't see the reserved tags on the reserved tables being cleared) would have been nice. All in all, it seems this place disguises itself as a wine bar that really wants to be a club with bottle service and booths. Pick one or separate the establishment to have a space for people who are there for the wine, a place for bottle serve/booths club experience and those that just want to sit at the bar... or lounge with hookah... oh or lounge with cigars? Lol. Maybe make it's so there's a time limit for all. As I stated before, please market yourself to be exactly what you are. Maybe it doesn't really matter because there's lots of positive reviews so people don't care but it just seems like a missed opportunity. We won't be back but I guess it doesn't matter.

Family came in to see Adele and wanted to hang out for a bit, so I made a reservation (which is really easy on their website). Arrived and there was no hostess and I had to get a server (not a huge inconvenience but IJS). For two people the only seating options are bar or high boys-couches are reserved just large parties (just information). Server came to take my order immediately and we're off to a good time (well sorof). Asked about hookah and it is sold, managed separately (so off to that section to order-a little inconvenient but not a deal breaker-yet). After a while, the coals needed changing, so back to walking over to ask...was informed they don't change coals but they could swish the coals around or I could buy a refill.... wait for $60 you will only swirl coals and by the way you never came to check to see if everything was ok with the hookah?!? Mind you, I only paid because this was my only chance to spend with my cousin while here and she was just off the flight so no going anywhere else with her jet lag. During the entire time, I kept having to flag a server or tap one that would go by, this made the experience bad and after catching up we decided to leave. I have two stars instead of one because the food was delicious (although limited menu) and the location is in the beautiful arts district. Also, the bartenders are nice.

We came here on a Tuesday night and had a blast even there was almost nobody else but us. The music was amazing!! All the old school 90s hip hop and r&b hits were great for us millennials! The berrie mule was amazing! Interior is great and beautiful. Staff was super friendly and attentive. You don't come here for the food. We tried several items and this is great for a snack when you're hungry but there's no dining experience here:) we had the sliders, tacos, nachos and flatbread. All was acceptable. The drinks were amazing. Value for money for sure!!! Can't wait to come back here!! We had a great time!!

We saw Cork & Thorn on an episode of Bar Rescue and decided to check them out during our Arts District bar hop. While small, it's still easy to find off Main Street.Security was guarding the front door and he asked us for our IDs for entry. I find it kinda odd that he was talking on his phone while he was checking our IDs. We then went down the hall where another person was guarding the entrance to the main bar. She asked us if we had reservations and we said no. It wasn't packed so we were able to get a high top table without a reservation.I learned upon entry that this is also a hookah lounge. I don't smoke hookahs and never tried to, so we skipped that and had drinks instead. I had a pineapple fizz cocktail and my boyfriend just had a rum and coke mixed drink. Live music started about 10-15 minutes after we entered, which was smooth jazz music. We stuck around for a little while longer to enjoy the music, then went on about our merry way.The ambiance was intimate and the pineapple fizz was excellent. Probably one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. They also have an outdoor seating area to your left before you reach the bar. Everybody working there, including security, was super chill and nice.

A VIBE!!! Me and my girls went out the other night and watched the amazing band that performs on Saturdays. We were all out of our seats grooving to every song! Neo-soul vibe till the band leaves then the DJ plays hip hop. Bartenders and hostesses were very friendly! I would suggest coming in before 9 to get a good spot to see the band. This place is a must!
