My friends and I came to Chayo on a Saturday afternoon and were seated in the bar area right away. The bartender was super cool and very attentive, which made for a great start to our experience.I ordered the Flakita Margarita and the Chicken Tinga Tacos. Let me tell you--the margarita was delicious and strong as heck (just the way I like it)! Unfortunately, the tacos didn't hit the mark. The meat was in large chunks and lacked flavor, making them hard to enjoy. I really tried, but they just weren't for me. Meanwhile, my husband devoured his burrito, so clearly, I just ordered the wrong thing!If I ever go back, it'll be for drinks and maybe an appetizer. The vibes were great, but the tacos? Not so much.

I really liked this spot! Located conveniently on the strip, its not a tourist trap! Its actually quality food!The waitresses were extremely nice, quick and helpful even when training a new employee.I had the burrito bowl with chicken and i loved the guac and salsa it came with. I left feeling satiated but also light. I asked for hot sauce on the side. It was very very good!There is a nice bar area and looks like they have karaoke and a mechanical bull.Nice place to visit.

We came here on our last day in Las Vegas. It is right across from the Flamingo hotel. It was popping as we walked by, so we decided to stop by for brunch. I got the breakfast tacos and my partner for the chilaquiles. Overall, food was ok. It did not shine that much. I think the spot is mostly popular for their tequila and drinks. Since we didn't get that, we don't recommend it as a place just for food.

I recently visited Chayo, hoping for an authentic Mexican dining experience with a happy hour, but unfortunately, it fell short in a few areas. There is no happy hour ever offered. While the ambiance was vibrant and welcoming, the flavors of the dishes lacked the depth and authenticity that one might expect from traditional Mexican cuisine. The seasonings were subdued and the shrimp was cooked separately apart from the sauces which made the shrimp dry and unflavored. A surprising incident occurred when I found a bug in my pitcher of drink. To their credit, the staff was quick to respond, promptly replacing the drink and ensuring it wasn't charged on the bill. This situation could have left a sour note, but their professionalism and attention turned it around.Despite these setbacks, the service was excellent throughout the evening. The staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to make the dining experience as pleasant as possible. While I appreciated the warm service, I do hope they revisit their recipes to bring a more genuine Mexican flavor to their dishes.
