Charlies Lakeside Restaurant & Lounge

My husband and I have driven by a few times and finally decided to stop on in for a low key football Sunday just us two. We were able to quickly be sat and loved that they had the games on the tvs and the fact the had a few different drink and food specials available. It's a very cozy little place. We got a booth and were quick to order. My husband and I shared the pretzel bites with cheese on special for $6. They were so doughy and delicious. I was a huge fan of the cheese dip. As for our meals I decided on the chicken Caesar wrap and my husband just did a classic burger. For a beverage I opted for a screwdriver (also on special for $4). All of the food was so tasty, and love that it wasn't crazy for a football Sunday. Definitely will be back to try some more goodies.

We visited for breakfast/lunch on Friday with a party of two and it was a nice experience. We arrived and were told to seat ourselves, we chose the dining area, with large booths. The waiter came by and took our order. Their margaritas are tall and strong.We started with Potato Skins, which were ok, might have used a bit more cook time. After that we had the Steak and Eggs and the Pancakes, Eggs & Bacon Special. The food was standard bar breakfast food, good but nothing fantastic. The steak had a bit of gristle and the eggs were overcooked, but tasty.The service was good, the waiter stopped by frequently and topped off drinks. Overall, a good place to stop by for a quick bite and drinks.

Their kitchen was closed when I went there tonight at only 8:50 PM. Did not expect that. I left unsatisfied.

January 13, 2024 - Late Breakfast with my sister and daughter. We were on the West Side and stopped in. I love the Rounded Booths, Chandeliers and Fireplace. Thank you Omar for your wonderful service, making sure food was good and drinks filled, always a plus to have great Customer Service.I had Eggs Benedict, I always ask for extra Hollandaise Sauce, very delicious. My daughter had Steak and Eggs, she enjoyed it. My sister had the Deuce breakfast, crispy bacon and pancakes was what she wanted and they were cooked good.Chef Zephyr came out to see if everything was good, and it was. It was before the lunch hour so it was quiet, several Metro Officers were enjoying their meals as well. Omar was just a natural and made everyone feel welcome, that makes me happy and my time much more enjoyable.If you're in the neighborhood of Sahara and Durango, stop on in, gamble a little and enjoy a meal. Good Food and Good Company, I guarantee a great time!

This place has it all. Great food, great bar and wait staff, nice ambiance, and great VGK promotions. I highly recommend this place!

I will start off on positive points. The inside is actually very cozy and cute and clean. Our server was really fantastic she was adorable she was so sweet and nice and we really enjoyed her and I'm kind of sad that she works for a place like this. This was my first time coming to this place and it will be my last-the food was horrific. Most of the time I have a problem with places because of their service it's not usually horrific food and I hate saying that about somebody's dream but it's the truth. I ordered potato skins and I made it clear I really like sour cream and my server was awesome she brought me lots of sour cream I appreciated that. Potato skins looked like they were topped with ham and bacon and I am not really that much of a meat eater to begin with and ham grosses me out even though ham and bacon come from the same animal. So I picked off all the chunky weird meat that I did not want on my potato skins. If it wasn't ham it was just big chunks of fatty bacon *dry heave.* Dinner was a Turkey melt with Swiss on wheat hold the tomato. It tasted weird too. Not like the meat had gone bad but it was just not good. Also when I opened the sandwich it was very wet inside. I only ate half. My "husband", the server assumed so we had fun with that, had liver and onions. And he said it tasted really "liver-y" and also described his meal as tasting weird too. He thinks he had frozen microwaved vegetable medley and his mashed potatoes he said were cold while the first bite of my mashed potatoes burned off 273 taste buds from being really unpleasantly hot. It's overpriced weird food with great service in a cute and cozy atmosphere. I'll never be back.

I go to Charlies Lakeside often for lunch because it is right up the street from work! The servers all know me at this point and are always smiling and joking with me! I order the same thing every time I go in and they know i have limited time so they let me know their specials or ask if I just want the usual! I always get the beef dip but have tried almost everything on the menu and there is no wrong choice! The meals always have plenty of food and I never leaving wanting more, I often need to get a to go box! I work in a loud high stress job so I always enjoy being able to go and relax there, it is very comfortable and quiet! There is plenty of room on the bar to enjoy food and virtual game if that is something you are into! I sit in the restaurant part of the building and the seating is comfortable and roomy. You can't go wrong with Charlies Lakeside!

I had breakfast there today and the place is amazing and big. Food was great. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Great menu with a big beautiful bar. Food came fast and service was excellent. My waitress and the cook were fantastic. My first time there

Very relaxed. Has a rustic atmosphere. Service is friendly and attentive... not trying TOO hard, just sincere, you know? Food servings are generous and good. I had the shrimp scampi with a side salad. Salad was nice and crisp. Shrimp scampi had lots of nice plump shrimp on well-cooked angel hair.

Pleasant, prompt staff, excellent customer service, excellent food & drinks. Five stars always great experience.
