Decided tot they this establishment for dinner. The restuarant dine in area is closed and now there is only a sit down bar with limited seating. You can order food as take out and sit down next down in the food court open seating area. The bartender was friendly, helpful and very busy. Margarita was very good. They do have some very good happy hour specials. We ordered the guacamole and chips, and asada ans fish tacos. I was a little disappointed with the food. Asada was dry and we didn't get any salsa with out chips or tacos which would of helped. As busy as the one bartender was with drinks, ordered and getting the food from the kitchen, I am surprised that she was not provided a kitchen runner just to help with bringing out food orders.

Diane and I had a fine outing here on Cinco de Mayo. Complimentary Bean Dip, Red Salsa, and Green Salsa with warm tortilla Chips were a nice opening, followed closely by tableside Guacamole Gusto. Our server claimed that the four fresh avocado halves turned into cool Guac was enough to serve five diners, but I polished the entire batch, with additional tortilla chips, all by myself.A bowl of Albondigas Soup with vegetables and meatballs was then a good place holder for me until our entrees arrived. At this juncture Diane enjoyed a Quesadilla with melted Monterey Jack and Cheddar Cheese that was simply packed with shrimp, and I devoured a Combination Platter of Shredded Beef Taco, Ground Beef Tostado, Mexican Rice and Refritos. With the help of two requested very warm Flour Tortillas and some butter, I turned the beans and rice into small burritos. And, although the Taco and Tostada were somewhat small, they were chock-full of meat and tomato bits. This time service (by Chrissy} was excellent!Despite all I ate, the home scale showed that I had lost weight the next day. Perhaps this was due to only having a can of sardines for lunch!

This is a great little Mexican restaurant and bar with friendly and attentive staff. Candy, the bartender is fantastic. They seem to have closed over the holidays and as yet have not reopened. I hope this is just temporary. I miss this place!

This wasn't a terrible experience. We were approached by our waiter who asked our drink orders. He seemed a little disappointed that we only wanted water and a soda. Another lady brought out a basket of broken chips (definitely the end of the bag) along with green and red salsa and bean dip. The red salsa had good flavor, but was definitely mild. I didn't try the green salsa. The bean dip was ok. There were no straws offered and the Pepsi did not taste good. The waiter took our orders and our food came quickly. It was delivered by the same lady that delivered the chips. It was hot and tasted good. The enchiladas had good flavor, but were definitely small. The chimichanga was average, but on the small side. The flavor was good, but not great. The waiter seemed to be all business and while he was not rude, he was not very personable either. We noticed that there were plenty of tables available for dinner time on a Saturday night and wondered why. That question was answered when we were brought our bill with a pen but told that we needed to go to the front to pay. When we went to the register, we were told the cashier had to go to the bathroom and we had to wait for her to return. As we waited, the line to check out got longer and longer. The hostess smiled awkwardly, but there seemed to be nothing she was able to do. Apparently, only one person can handle payments. That seems to be poor management. Anyway, until the end, we thought the visit was about average. I took off another star because there was no effort to be friendly or accommodating to the guests and there was no plan B for when the cashier has to go to the bathroom.

Terrible service, took at least 15 minutes to order drinks, an additional 15 minutes to get drinks from bar. Food very slow to come out even though they were not busy. We almost walked out 3 different times. But the food itself was the worst part. Ordered carne asada, now I have had this many other places and I know carne asada is not a very thick cut of meat. What I got was no thicker than a slice of bologna. Seriously it was only 1/8 of an inch thick. How can they serve such a measly portion and have the audacity to charge $16 for a burnt beyond recognition thin slice of meat. Avoid this place like the plague.

This is a great little Mexican bar with friendly and attentive staff. Candy, the bartender is fantastic. The Casa Cantina dining room is permanently closed, the bar remains open, and the menu is limited. The food is prepped in the Victory Cafe kitchen by the Casa Cantina original chef. This is my first time back in about a year. Glad to be back.
