I don't think that the employees are aware that there are gift cards being sold online from the Carmines website: www.carminespizzakitchen.comhttps://carminespizzakitchen.com/We came here on saturday to celebrate my birthday (it was much earlier in the month, but my husband's step-dad got sick). We got two large pizzas, and three of us, out of five got soft drinks; husband said it was $65, including the tip. The cheese pizza is my favorite. The other one was pepperoni. We ended up with five slices to take home. Mmm, love it. Like I said, in my previous reviews, we've been coming to Carmine's (initially the Villa Pizza brand, before franchising) for years, my husband's been coming for decades, at the original Commercial Center location, until the fire; I discovered the restaurant on Maryland Parkway, in the 1990s. We are faithful longtime customers. We come here several times a year, sometimes to celebrate, sometimes, because it is near the field where our son plays flag football. I recently became a rewards member.

Yoooo, this was my birthday lunch. And it was beyond incredible! These meatballs are insane, the fried ravioli is perfect and the Stromboli... oh hell yeah!Amazing spot. Love this place!

Hangry! Famished! Help!It doesn't matter the location, however, this SW location seems to be the location I frequent the most. This was refreshing! Always worth its value. The first bite quickly reminded us why when we don't want to miss and we are starving, CARMINES is the quick answer. The service is superb. Always friendly, expeditious but not hurried. It feels like family. Thank you

This is a nice little place that has GREAT lunch specials! My review is based on two visits.They have a 2 Slice and Drink or Half Sandwich with choice of salad or soup for $6.99. There are several tables inside so while this is likely a popular to-go place, you can definitely have a seat and the cashier also is the server. Both times - staff were super friendly!Visit #1: Party of 2 and we both got the sandwich special. The pasta fagioli is just ok - it's a broth with little macaroni-ish pasta and I have had a lot of different fagiolis before. It was Ok. The Sausage and Peppers will have tomato sauce upon request and I definitely said yes. The bread is really good here! Crusty crunch with a soft center - this makes a big difference and was delish. The sausage and peppers was nice and hot, freshly made! The salad that comes with the sandwich special is a good size! Your typical iceberg with tomatoes etc. Italian sub is fresh and has fresh slices of mozzarella on it with Italian meats. Solid!Visit #2: Party of 2 again and we got the same Italian/salad special and tried the Philly with a salad. Philly was a little small in the meat fill so maybe wishing for just a little more in it. Otherwise salad is of good portion once again!The one difference I would say between the two visits is that visit #1 the AC was good but visit #2 was quite warm and both times I was there at the 1pm-ish time.When I'm in the neighborhood I will definitely be going back to try more things!

Walked in and was greeted immediately. They asked my name and I was called by name while there. The staff were really friendly and energetic. There were several tables inside with people dining in. I ordered to go. Food was ready when I arrived. Got home and the order was all correct. The sauce that was served on the side with the garlic knots and the Stromboli was so plain to me. Tasted like straight tomato sauce without any added seasoning. Left a lot to be desired. Adding some salt was a definite help but it could use something more. We were hoping it wouldn't be the same sauce used on the pizza. I believe it was. The pizza with more toppings was definitely better than the just pepperoni. If you like plain tomato based pizza you'll probably really enjoy it. As for me I like more complexity and flavor to mine. The garlic knots were ok but didn't have a lot of garlic flavor to them. The Stromboli was probably my favorite item next to the cannoli. I would go back just to buy the cannoli to go. They even put extra filling in the tray to hold them in place which means bonus filling! LOVE that. Yum!

Called in a late lunch for our kids over the phone: one large cheese pizza. $20 and 20 minutes later we were in NY pizza heaven. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant was clean with old-timey decor. This place is great if you like thin pizza with a nice crunch to it. Highly recommend!

Been coming to Carmines for over 10 years now. Great place for some good pizza, we are frequent visitors to NYC and this is one of the few spots in town that reminds us of the food and atmosphere while you can get with a bit more leg room! Services had been great and the food consistent.

Best meatball sub I've had in a long time. Great place will definitely be coming back

I ordered a veggie pizza and Caesar salad. Caesar salad was good but the pizza was terrible. There was absolutely no flavor to it at all. I would've been better off ordering from Pizza Hut or even buying a Digiorno pizza.
