Tiffany S. "Y'all, this place is dynamite. The hush puppies were so pillowy and crispy and that butter was something else. I gotta figure how to replicate that. The collards were cooked perfectly, the bleu cheese dressing on the salad was so fresh and flavorful, and that jambalaya had a nice Cajun kick to it. I've had good food in the south and this was an awesome contender. Even my southern beau approved."

I was honestly in heaven to finally have tried this food truck. Sometimes everything aligns perfectly and the Food God's grant mercy on the cravings. Opted for the Garlic Green Beans of course, pulled pork, chicken, Mac and Cheese, peach cobbler, and potato salad. Can I say oh my oh my. 100% I will admit I wolfed everything down minus those Green Beans. I baby sat them like a kid holding on to a bag of m&m and sharing only 1 at a time. Yes that goodThe staff were beyond courteous and hospitable. Everything is made daily so you know your getting fresh quality. Would most def recommend- pricing for the portions was reasonable in my opinion. Everything was bagged up perfectly for the ride back to the house. I'm still dreaming of those Beans Location at the time was Aliante/215 at the Smiths - ample parking"

The cook came out to our table and personally greeted us with our food and a special treat at the end of our dining experience. I was so impressed and so was the rest of our party of 6. Each of us had something different ie; salad, hamburger, pastrami sandwich, chicken sandwich everything was delicious. I would give this coffee cafe and dining restaurant a 5+/A+ We will definitely be back."

We are out here from Los Angeles and hands down this is the BEST southern food I've had in a while. I ordered the chicken and waffles but the SHRIMP AND GRITS were the chicken and waffles were as well. Now Erica was something special. She handled a party of 30 with GRACE!!! She was kind and funny and brought our food and drinks flawlessly. Thank you so much, we will be back!!"

"I ordered 1 thing--Crispy Fried Onions. They were delicious.Lucky for you who are reading this, My roommate ordered stuff or I probably wouldn't leave a review for onions ;)The girl behind the counter was friendly but she did make a mistake in that my roommate ordered a large salad and got a small salad, she didn't charge wrong though but he wanted a large salad... but she would have to charge the card again and he didn't want to do that so he let it go. (well to her, I had to hear about it for 20 mins in the car ride)He ordered a plate (1 item, 2 sides) and got an extra side--He said it was good, I won't go into details because I didn't try it and He didn't give an update other to say it was good. It's a clean place that smells like wood burning. If you are a Vegetarian or Vegan, The smell is something you can handle!and they have plenty of Vegan options on the menu and things that can be made Vegan.:)"

What took me so long?Outstanding soul food. The "Mississippi", three well seasoned, cornmeal crusted, fluffy and moist deep fried catfish filets, a bowl of buttery grits, well cooked collards and a to die for 12" thin and crisp waffle all for a little more than a quarter cheques?Don't like my choices? How about juicy fried chicken wings (stolen from a poker bud's plate), grilled pork chops, sausage patties and choose from a plethora of choices of sides, biscuits and breads. Everything is also available ala carte so mix and match anyway you like.Omelets and sandwiches including the requisite po boys available. None sampled. After all, you gotta have grits at a placed named after them.Very friendly service. Not fancy. Busy AF. Eat and get out so someone else can do the same.Worthy."

Matt K. "Chicken is still as great as ever. Prices have gone up - only 1 side versus 2 is included with a half bird. Whether you get decent fries or a lot of fries or a little is up in the air and varies with each order. If the fries are freshly made will be good. If old and sitting in the bin for a while, not so good. And we've received orders with large amounts of fries and orders with barely any. No consistency. As far as the chicken no complaints lately. Delicious plump and as spicy as you want it to be. It is best if freshly made and hasn't been sitting in the tray too long. Over all Hattie B's remains the best fried chicken around."

Karyn M. "Yardbird is a traditional Southern eatery known for their chicken & waffles, grits & more. We had reservations for brunch and a line had already formed when we arrived. It's very dark inside (even for brunch), and I noted Elvis on their rotating screen show. They told us they were sold out of their cinnamon rolls. I inquired and they said it was more of a vendor reevaluation. I ordered biscuits and gravy and Brussels sprouts. The donut biscuits/buscuit donuts we ordered instead of the cinnamon rolls were hot, crispy and lightly dusted with sugar. It did not need the addition of the thin chocolate sauce, they were sweet enough without.I have mentioned in previous reviews that I don't always fully read descriptions and this leads to surprises. Like I didn't realize my biscuits and gravy had a fried chicken breast on the biscuit. The bacon was super crisp (nice!), the chicken was good and the sausage gravy was great! The American cheese was unnecessary. The Brussels sprouts were perfection. Service was gracious and southern hospitality to a T. They even pointed out the automatic 18 percent gratuity which to be honest we wouldn't have even noticed when we paid."

Drina R. "Nellie's Southern Kitchen at MGM Grand in Las Vegas has a lot of potential, but unfortunately, it didn't fully hit the mark for me. I was excited to dive into some soul food, but my experience was a mix of highs and lows.First, the collard greens--what a disappointment! I'm a big fan of collard greens and, being someone who can make them myself, I've got high standards. These were sweet, and let me tell you, I never thought I'd say this, but sweet collard greens are just not my thing. They totally missed the mark for me.The mac and cheese, while decent, was just okay. The pasta was overcooked, which took away from the dish, and it could've used a little more flavor to stand out.I will say that the fried chicken was pretty good, and you get three pieces. While it wasn't the most mind-blowing fried chicken I've had, it was satisfying enough. On the positive side, the service was excellent, and that made the whole dining experience a bit more enjoyable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the meal feel a little more worthwhile despite the food not meeting my expectations.Overall, it was an experience. Not one I'll rush to repeat, but not entirely a failure either. If you're in the mood for soul food, it might be worth a try, but don't expect the full authentic soul food experience."

So that definitely made the atmosphere of the restaurant fun & entertaining. We were seated on the first level. It was super crowded, even at our table. The tables and chairs are places pretty close to each other so don't expect too much comfort. The food was ok. Nothing special. It's bar food. More on the pricey side tho, especially when compared to other sports & country bars on the strip. The pick me up shot was definitely different tho, it's like an espresso Martini in a shit glass. I do like how you get souvenir cups/shot glasses with each drink so that was cool Service was also ok. Our server seemed overwhelmed or stressed. She was nice tho.I am glad I got to check this place out. They are in a great spot tho, tons of foot traffic so I can see why they are always busy."

Make sure you try the "stupid fries" they were bomb asf!!! I didn't get to take a picture because we smashed them as soon as they came out! We also tried the catfish that was yummy. The shrimp and grits were really good. The fried chicken is good and crispy, I love fried chicken. The kids loved the koolaid. The prices were decent. But just to be safe, I ordered a two meat plate with both regular sliced brisket plus the burnt end brisket (that's the one that was referred to as being"carmelized"First thing: the people serving were really nice. What a pleasure to be treated so well!I first dove into the burnt ends. Well, they were a little dry/crunchy. But, what does one expect of some labeled as "burnt?" They were sweet and a tiny bit spicy. Now, let's go on to the sliced brisket...Yah, Baby! That's the ONE YOU WANT!! Super fatty (just like I asked for. Hyper-tender. Delicious! Included the extra sauce the gal offered. This REALLY hit the spot!! If you love great brisket, don't miss out on this place. Each meal comes with a side. Hey, this place claims to Southern, so I HAD to pick the collard greens. The server says there's brisket and bacon in there. Hmm. Not obvious. The greens were ... serviceable. They've got lots of other sides. I'd try a different one next time. And there WILL BE a NEXT TIME! The server also thoughtfully offered pickles on the side. They were perfect. Added to the "picnic vibe"Other notables:Pleasant music; easy parking, pleasant surroundings inside. WORTH IT! I'll stop by again."

Cecilia H. "Overall experience with food 2/5 stars and customer service 4/5 stars. Small/cozy restaurant in a shopping center. Lots of parking and seating inside the establishment. The gentleman behind the counter owned the restaurant and he was nice and explain some highlights on the menu such as the ribs and brisket. We went with the #19 which is the 3 meat combo and 1 side. We were a bit disappointed because you couldn't double the meat choice, mac and cheese was not part of the side options, you have to order mac and cheese separate, and for a platter you only get one side. But we ended up getting to additional sides so we could have everything we wanted. 4/5 stars - The brisket was tender good ratio of lean meat and parts of fat. 3/5 stars St. Louis Ribs - they were tender but w/out the bbq sauce they were pretty bland. 3/5 stars rib tips - same as the req ribs tender but w/out the bbq sauce they were bland, and barely any meat on them. 4/5 stars - Regular BBQ sauce - great flavor and seasoning 4/5 stars - Spicy BBQ sauce - great flavor and seasoning and good spice level. 1/5 stars - mac n cheese another bland item and the cheese was clumpy.1/5 stars - yams there was no texture to it just seemed like mashed potatoes. They was flavor but all you tasted was sweetness from the marshmallow.4/5 potato salad - had good flavor no major complaints on this one but it was a bit too sweet for potato salad I really wanted to love the place, I didn't want to write this review but again just my opinion."

Leigh-Anne A. "Nice spot in a shopping center next to a grocery store. It was not busy, but it was a Thursday night. We chose it because of how many reviews it has with good ratings and it was close to our time share. The service was great and the food was delicious. We share the two breast fried chicken plate and added an extra side and biscuit. They accidentally made an extra Mac and cheese so they gave us that for free. Our other side was creamed corn. The fried chicken was delicious. Very well seasoned and crispy crust. Perfectly cooked and juicy. The creamed corn and the biscuits were fine, nothing special and the corn was a little on the salty side. The star of the show (particularly for my husband) was the Mac and cheese. Al dente noodles with a deliciously emulsified cheese sauce. We took dessert home in the cute jars they come in. my husband had the boozy butterscotch pudding and I had the red velvet cake in a jar. The pudding was very boozy and tasty. The cake was a bit dry and quite sweet. Overall a decent meal!"
