"I ordered 1 thing--Crispy Fried Onions. They were delicious.Lucky for you who are reading this, My roommate ordered stuff or I probably wouldn't leave a review for onions ;)The girl behind the counter was friendly but she did make a mistake in that my roommate ordered a large salad and got a small salad, she didn't charge wrong though but he wanted a large salad... but she would have to charge the card again and he didn't want to do that so he let it go. (well to her, I had to hear about it for 20 mins in the car ride)He ordered a plate (1 item, 2 sides) and got an extra side--He said it was good, I won't go into details because I didn't try it and He didn't give an update other to say it was good. It's a clean place that smells like wood burning. If you are a Vegetarian or Vegan, The smell is something you can handle!and they have plenty of Vegan options on the menu and things that can be made Vegan.:)"

"Highly recommended! Food was made fresh and served hot off the stove. This is definitely REAL soul food. Everything was absolutely delicious This is definitely Texas style southern cooking. Red beans and rice have the perfect amount of spice. The chicken was fried to perfection! Great service, the owner is friendly and personable. Plenty of seating. We will definitely be back."
"Overall experience with food 2/5 stars and customer service 4/5 stars. Small/cozy restaurant in a shopping center. Lots of parking and seating inside the establishment. The gentleman behind the counter owned the restaurant and he was nice and explain some highlights on the menu such as the ribs and brisket. We went with the #19 which is the 3 meat combo and 1 side. We were a bit disappointed because you couldn't double the meat choice, mac and cheese was not part of the side options, you have to order mac and cheese separate, and for a platter you only get one side. But we ended up getting to additional sides so we could have everything we wanted. 4/5 stars - The brisket was tender good ratio of lean meat and parts of fat. 3/5 stars St. Louis Ribs - they were tender but w/out the bbq sauce they were pretty bland. 3/5 stars rib tips - same as the req ribs tender but w/out the bbq sauce they were bland, and barely any meat on them. 4/5 stars - Regular BBQ sauce - great flavor and seasoning 4/5 stars - Spicy BBQ sauce - great flavor and seasoning and good spice level. 1/5 stars - mac n cheese another bland item and the cheese was clumpy.1/5 stars - yams there was no texture to it just seemed like mashed potatoes. They was flavor but all you tasted was sweetness from the marshmallow.4/5 potato salad - had good flavor no major complaints on this one but it was a bit too sweet for potato salad I really wanted to love the place, I didn't want to write this review but again just my opinion."
"My family and I were in Vegas for my husbands birthday we wanted some soul food.... I googled and found this place. It's 20 minutes from the strip and a small little family owned place and omg we loved it. The cook greeted us as we walked in. The food was fresh and delicious! Make sure you try the "stupid fries" they were bomb asf!!! I didn't get to take a picture because we smashed them as soon as they came out! We also tried the catfish that was yummy. The shrimp and grits were really good. The fried chicken is good and crispy, I love fried chicken. The kids loved the koolaid. The prices were decent. If you're in Vegas definitely try this place out!Only thing I didn't like is we had to wait over an hour for our food because there is only one cook and there was about 7 of us... but hey it was fresh!"

Very social staff. It was not very full when I stopped by but it was clean and I appreciated the attention to cleanliness. The catfish was cooked perfectly and I'm a fan of it the mustard sauce and bread. The beans and rice along with the grits were mediocre but still a good place to try. Especially the service.

Young lady at the counter greeted us and patiently let us take our time as first time customers. Lucky me, the rib platter was very excellent and the side of BBQ homemade beans were absolutely delicious. I will definitely make this my BBQ special place where I take great friends to. Finger licking good stuff.

THIS is very soulful soul food. Generous portions in atmosphere that is almost tacky. This is the 3rd visit in 5 weeks & we live 55 miles away; that should speak volumes about the food. Corn bread, ribs, chicken & collard greens & red beans with rice are all very satisfying

True Texas BBQ! Ordered through Uber eats just to try it. The ribs were 10/10, pulled pork was 10/10, brisket was 9/10, chicken was 10/10. As for the sides the mac and cheese was 10/10, greens 10/10, hush puppies 10/10 (I just wish they came with some kinda sauce to dip them in), red beans and rice 9/10. Tried both the mild and spicy BBQ and both were very good. Another person ate the entire portion of peach cobbler so no one else got any. I'd guess they would rate that a 10/10. Lastly, we also got a loaded baked potato with brisket. It's not my thing, but the person that ate it said it was fantastic and they would order it again. We got French fries free with our order. That's the only thing I wouldn't get again. Mainly because everything else is just so good. Now that I know this place is close, we will be trying it in person and pick up as I know uber eats isn't kind to restaurants. We definitely enjoyed the food and can't wait to try more. Glad you're in the NW!

First time to Mama's kitchen, small restaurant with usually an hour wait. The restaurant has modern setting with lots nice glass and silver decor. It was just me and my wife and we ordered wonton in Szechuan sauce, tantan noodles, crispy beef and fried rice. The wonton was very tasty with just a dash of spice. Tantan noodles was a little soggy for me and didn't care for it. The crispy beef had a good sweat marination. Overall, the portions aren't very big, but descent meal.

Mood - Evolution I think it is awesome when we get to experience a restaurant that expands their horizons and adds a brick and mortar to the equation. When I first saw this place and those Garlic Green Beans I knew it was a absolute must to see what they've accomplished. Upon entering was quickly greeted and ushered over to a table. Menus are available via QR code on each table. Opted for the pulled pork, ribs, tips, peach cobbler, Mac and Cheese, chili with extra cornbread, and of course those garlic Green Beans. Now I will say this, they still prepare the same exceptional food. And I may have inhaled those Green Beans. Don't judge me. Interior is set aside from the bar, you walk in the main entrance, and go to the right, this will take you straight to the restaurant. This way you can bring your family too. Everything was clean. Music was playing and there were televisions going in the background Would recommend- pricing is typical for most restaurants now a days. However the portions were decent. I didn't feel cheated. The customer service was very friendly and hospitable. Location is Craig/Valley - ample parking

Leaving a neutral review because we wanted to eat here but couldn't locate it. We asked multiple people inside Planet Hollywood and no one knew. We even got a "it's somewhere in the miracle mile, have fun" from information. Apparently it's inside of another restaurant? I dunno, I'm still confused. I can't leave a bad review because I have no clue about their food. -2 stars for location.

I finally got to try this restaurant! It's been on my list for awhileLocated in what looks like a business/industrial area, kind of off the beaten pathWe were greeted upon entering a seated quickly. Our orders were taken promptly and food arrived in a good amount of timeI had the catfish breakfast with the Sweet Potato waffle. Excellent excellent !My friend had the three wing breakfast. The wings were ok. A little bruised, wouldn't get again.I would definitely come back again to try other items on the menu.

"I wasn't ready for that bacon double cheeseburger. But wow. It was so offensively large in the greatest way. If you are truly hungry I highly recommend this burger. Well worth the price and priced to match. Add a hot link or two if you like spice. Dane and Linda the owners are so friendly and there is a tv to watch sports which made a great Sunday dinner. Small mom and pop shop and so friendly. The trailer is right out front in case you feel you are in the wrong spot it's right next to the bar. Enter, then immediate right into the greatness."
"Great food and service will order again and again...It's a must tryBrisket and Ribs are the best."
"Around for years, now making Eater's 38 Essential Restaurants in Vegas. What took me so long?Outstanding soul food. The "Mississippi", three well seasoned, cornmeal crusted, fluffy and moist deep fried catfish filets, a bowl of buttery grits, well cooked collards and a to die for 12" thin and crisp waffle all for a little more than a quarter cheques?Don't like my choices? How about juicy fried chicken wings (stolen from a poker bud's plate), grilled pork chops, sausage patties and choose from a plethora of choices of sides, biscuits and breads. Everything is also available ala carte so mix and match anyway you like.Omelets and sandwiches including the requisite po boys available. None sampled. After all, you gotta have grits at a placed named after them.Very friendly service. Not fancy. Busy AF. Eat and get out so someone else can do the same.Worthy."
"Nice spot in a shopping center next to a grocery store. It was not busy, but it was a Thursday night. We chose it because of how many reviews it has with good ratings and it was close to our time share. The service was great and the food was delicious. We share the two breast fried chicken plate and added an extra side and biscuit. They accidentally made an extra Mac and cheese so they gave us that for free. Our other side was creamed corn. The fried chicken was delicious. Very well seasoned and crispy crust. Perfectly cooked and juicy. The creamed corn and the biscuits were fine, nothing special and the corn was a little on the salty side. The star of the show (particularly for my husband) was the Mac and cheese. Al dente noodles with a deliciously emulsified cheese sauce. We took dessert home in the cute jars they come in. my husband had the boozy butterscotch pudding and I had the red velvet cake in a jar. The pudding was very boozy and tasty. The cake was a bit dry and quite sweet. Overall a decent meal!"
